Here is yet another chapter of my infamous story. I hope you like it

Presenting?Why Serena Dumped Darien chapter 2 (PG) by me, Empress Earth

     "Maybe I can focus on my studies more to get my mind off of him," 
I said to myself out loud.
     Molly looked as if she was going to choke on her chocolate 
milkshake. As soon as she painfully swallowed her mouthful, he began to 
laugh hysterically. "Wow, Serena studying. That'll be the day hell 
freezes over!" Molly laughed till tears rolled down her cheeks.
     "You don't believe me?" I asked in a pained voice. My eyes began 
to fill with tears and soon after, I began to wail miserably. 
     "Oh, you're serious?" Molly asked surprised. "I'm so sorry Serena. 
I didn't know."
     "Of course I'm serious Molly," I huffed as I crossed my arms in 
front of me angrily. "But I'm not mad at you." I gave Molly my best and 
biggest smile. I could never stay mad at her for long.
     For some strange reason, my attention turned to the front door. I 
don't know why. It must have been my sixth sense kicking in. As I 
looked, the most handsome boy I have ever seen walked through the door. 
His hair was a curly, long, light brown. His eyes were a beautiful 
emerald color just like my friend Lita's eyes. He was tall but a couple 
of inches shorter than Darien. Speaking of Darien, this guy looks a 
whole lot like him! Our eyes locked for a second, but I hurried turned 
my head and blushed.
     "Well, well, well. Look at what the cat dragged in," Molly said 
dreamily. "Isn't he just gorgeous? What do you think, Serena?"
     "He looks like Darien," I muttered not able to say anything else.
     Molly's eyebrows came together in anger. "I told you to get your 
mind off of Darien, Serena. Is he all you can think about?"
     "Molly, I'm serious. Look at him," I pleaded with her.
     Molly looked at him again seeming to be in deep concentration. 
"Hmm?I don't know. Maybe he looks like him just a little bit."
     I glanced back towards him just to discover that he was heading to 
our table. My heart jumped into my throat and I had butterflies in my 
stomach. I couldn't believe how I was reacting to him. Finally after 
what seemed an eternity, he arrived at the table.
     "Hello ladies, do you mind if I join you. I seem to be intoxicated 
with your beauty," he said to Molly and me. His voice was as smooth as 
silk.
     I opened my mouth to speak, but I was at a lost for words. I 
couldn't think of what to say. Sure, I'd love for him to join us, but 
what would Darien think of me letting a strange man sit with me. 
Fortunately, Molly had the guts to speak.
     "Sure you can," she said batting her eyelashes. "We always love 
the company of handsome young men."
     He sat by me! I couldn't believe it. My butterflies quickened 
their pace in my stomach and I tried to swallow my heart back into my 
chest. My heartbeat rose again, and I began to tremble.  
     "Are you cold?" he asked me noticing my trembling.
     "A little," I lied to him and myself.
     He began to pull his black leather jacket off intending to place 
it on me. My eyes were wide in surprise.
     "No, I don't need your jacket," I pleaded with him as I began to 
blush. 
     "I insist," he said as he placed it over my shoulders. "We can't 
have such a beautiful woman catching a cold now could we?"
     I reluctantly accepted the jacket and muttered a shy thanks. Why 
was I having these feelings for a guy I barely know? Stop it, Serena, I 
scolded myself. It's just infatuation. 
    "My name is David. What are yours?" he asked.
     "I'm Molly and this is my best friend Serena," Molly answered 
quickly before I had a chance to answer.
     "Well, it's nice to meet you Serena and Molly," David answered 
looking into my blues eyes.

<gulp> I h-hope you like it so far (please don't kill me, please don't
