Hello everyone. I'm glad you've decided to continue to read my story. I'm quite honored?. Anyway, remember that question I asked at the end of chapter 7? The one about what Serena will do? Well, this chapter is about what she's doing about Darien. This is the one chapter I know I'm going to get flames for . I'm sorry . I know all of you Serena and Darien romance fans are fuming at me (please don't kill me, please don't kill me). Well, I can't say you weren't warned, so don't blame me for your reading my story (I'm going to be sleeping with one eye open tonight). Disclaimers: Sailor Moon is not mine yadda yadda yadda. David is mine, though. So don't sue me!!! Whew, that took a lot out of me. Presenting? Why Serena Dumped Darien chapter 8 by Empress Earth rated PG. @~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~ Dear Darien, How are you doing at Harvard University? You're probably doing well as always. You're probably doing so well, that you forgot about your girlfriend in Japan. You know, the one with the cute little spaghetti and meatball hairdo named Serena. I've been waiting weeks, make that months, to hear from you and I don't get as much as a simple letter telling me that you arrived to the states safely. I've written you almost everyday, and I'm tired of writing to you if you will not respond to my letters. Darien, do you take our relationship for granted? Do you take for granted that our relationship has lasted over a thousand years, and it is supposed to last for even more? Maybe it isn't the relationship for granted it's me. Whenever I used to come over to your apartment, you'd have your nose stuck in some book that I couldn't even comprehend. You'd look up for a second, mutter a hello, and then go right back to reading that damned book. You didn't even give me so much as a hug. I was so head over heels in love with you that I was too stupid to realize that. Now that you are gone (and not writing me), I came a new insight dawned on me. I realized I could get along quite nicely without you. I began to have fun with my friend, Molly, which I have stupidly neglected because of my foolish feelings for you. There is a new boy in school, also, that has eyes for me. If I wasn't tied down to you, I think the boy and me would probably have a nice time together if I ever give him a chance. I can't do that though, because I am presently taken. Well, to get to the point and to make a long story short, I think we should go our separate ways. I say so what to destiny. I've been hurt one too many times by you, and I want to find someone who will not hurt me and give me the attention that I need. Maybe you'll find someone who will match your intellect more; someone who can spark interest in you, because it seems like I can't. I'm sorry for the heart wrenching news. I know we had our good times together, but I think we both need a change. A thousand years is a long time to commit yourself to only one person, and that one person doesn't seem too committed to you. Sorry, Serena @~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~ I hastily put it in an envelope, addressed it, and put a stamp on it. I ran outside to catch the mailman before he left. When he accepted it, I mumbled a thank you and ran back inside to my room. Good, I thought, I mailed it off before I had a chance to change my mind. Luna sat unmoving on my bed with wide eyes and opened mouth. I guess she was surprised at what I have done. Personally, I felt a sense of relief. It was about time that I took charge of my own life. @~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~ So?how was it? Good, bad or in the middle? Well, I'm happy about the way it turned out. Well, this is my last chapter. I'll try to type up an epilogue next time. E-mail me at EmpEarth@sailormoon.com . All comments (even the flames that I fear) are welcome. All e-mail is appreciated. Thanks. Thank you for reading my story.
