Well, I obviously decided that this chapter needed a bit of revising. There was nothing major, just one or two mistakes here and there. My main character's symbol is not a question mark. The type of symbol that I used, however, appeared as a question mark, and I didn't notice till too late. So, that is my reason for a revision. Thanks for reading again. Disclaimers: Sailor Moon and all the characters on the cartoon do not belong to me. My main character, however, does. Please do not sue me. I need my money to purchase books for fall semester. Thanks. Now, on with the story. Oh yeah, there is one more thing. There is a subject matter concerning sex. It just mentions it though. I'm not a pervert and I don't write lemons. Just a fair warning. Now, on with the story. Secrets of the Earth, part 3 by moi, Empress Earth Rated PG-13 @~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~> "No?!" the girl exclaimed in surprise. What did I ever do to him that makes him want to treat me so rudely, she thought. She didn't have to wait for the answer, however. "I don't speak to strangers, especially foreigners with tattoos," the man commented smartly. The girl looked guiltily on her left arm at the purple symbol that looked like the universal symbol for male, only it was upside down (the cross was at the top of the circle and not the bottom); the astrological symbol of Earth. The guilt in her eyes soon faded away and was replaced by anger. She saw red? "For your information, this is not a tattoo, it is a birthmark. This mark was on me for as long as I can remember." The girl took a bite of her danish and began to ignore him. "For as long as you can remember?" the guy asked sarcastically. "That is only possible because you had a hard night at a bar. You were filthy drunk. You and your friends, inspired by drunken stupidity, thought it would be a great idea to visit the tattoo parlor. That was where a big, ugly, hairy man covered in tattoos named Billy made his permanent mark on you. Hmm, no wonder why you don't remember." Not only was the girl hurt, she was very angry. If looks can kill, the guy sitting next to her wouldn't be living. She gave him a look that froze fire. The look that she gave him seemed to pierce his soul. The look that she gave him brought about a feeling he hadn't felt in a long time--fear. She turn her ice-cold glance from him and began to devoir her food and slurp up her coffee as fast as she could. She couldn't stand being next to this handsome man. She hated the way he stared at her in wonder. She hated how mean he was to her. Most of all, she hated how handsome he was. When she stared at him, she realized that she could forget all the mean things he said to her. She could get lost in the deep ocean of his eyes. He was just that handsome. He began to quietly chuckle. Then, a huge fit of laughter ceased him. She angrily glared at him again. "What's your problem?" she asked angrily. "Oh, you just remind me of someone I know. She's a real pig like you. You scarfed down your food in record timing." "You don't even know me. Who are you to assume that I am like someone if you don't know what I am really like?" she spat. "Oh, I was wrong? Please forgive me?" the man apologized. "Billy was not only your tattoo artist, he was also your boyfriend. I'm sorry I brought it up. The break-up must have been terrible that you are so offended by my mentioning him. He probably broke-up with you because you were bad in bed. I pity you." The look she gave the man was not of anger but of hurt. Tears threatened to fall out of her beautiful amethyst eyes. Her body began to tremble badly. She tried to rock her self back and forth to sooth the pain, but that didn't work. She tried not to look into his blue eyes, but a magnetic force always pulled her back making her feel worse. Slowly, tiny crystal-like tears began to seep out of her eyes, and her body shook uncontrollably. The guy couldn't help feeling sorry for the beautiful girl that sat next to him. He was the cause of all of her pain at the present. If he could, he would turn back time and not come to the caf頴oday. It was probably better than her running into him and suffering so much because of him. He was not the god of time, however. All he could do was apologize. But? "You know, you really remind me of that girl. She is a real crybaby like you," his pride got the best of him. "Bastard," she hissed as she threw her money onto the bar and ran out of the caf頬ike a bat out of hell. The man grabbed a fist full of his thick, black hair to relieve some of his frustration. Why did I act like an ass towards that girl, he thought to himself. She seemed nice enough. All she wanted was the sugar and cream. I just couldn't bring myself to be nice to her. "You sure do have a way with women," the waiter said bringing the man out of his thoughts. The waiter began to collect the money that the girl left to pay for her food. "She seemed like she wanted to kill someone on her way out." "Yes, I know. I didn't treat her very well," the man told the waiter. "I wouldn't blame her if she wanted to kill me." "I know I'm just a lowly waiter and all," the waiter began as he finished cleaning the area that she ate at, "but I know that it is not healthy for one to be so mad. Maybe, you should find her and clear the air between you two." The guy scratched his head in confusion. "I guess you are right. I don't want any of my friends hearing about my murder on the news tonight." "Here, keep the change, and thank you for your advice." The waiter lifted his eyebrows in thoughtful surprise. Wow, he thought, if I get more than a fifteen percent tip when I give advice, I should give it more often. With that, he watched the man exit the caf駳 doors. Well, I hope he could smooth things over with that girl, he thought as he began to wipe down the counter. @~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~> The girl huffed in anger as she made her way towards the university. Never has she been treated so badly. The thought of how the man treated her made her want to cry again. Not only did he taunt her about her birthmark, he sexually harassed her in a public place. Anyone could have listened to their conversation. She began to turn red with anger, and tears welled up in her eyes. Oh no, she thought, I'm not going let him have the satisfaction of making me cry again. She took a deep breath and sucked all her pain up. She wanted to try to have a good day. "No, I won't have a good day," she said out loud to herself as she stared at the ground. "All I ever wanted to do is fit in with everyone else. That is impossible now." @~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~> The man huffed and puffed to catch up with her. He felt so badly for what he said to her. He wanted to apologize. Only if my pride would let me do so, he thought. She finally came into view. She looked depressed. Her eyes were on the ground, afraid to look up at anyone--afraid to get hurt again. Her hands trembled with nervousness. Look what I did to her, thought. She looks like a mess. Some how, he pulled his stare off of her. I sensed danger. That danger was a blond streak of hair, running clumsily through the crowd. "Watch out!" he yelled, but it was too late. @~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~> The girl looked up feeling a sense of impeding danger. A whirlwind of golden locks was approaching her fast. All she could do is put on her brakes and hold on tight. A sudden pain traveled from her head and through her spine. After that, she couldn't remember any more for everything went black @~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~>@~>~~>~~~> Ha ha ha ha ha. I ended with a slight cliffhanger. Don't ya just love me? Still, no one knows exactly who this new girl is. I promise you, you will find out in the next chapter. But until then, bare with me please. I know I'm taking a while to get my story out, but I will try my best to have another chapter out next week. Again, thanks for reading. E-mail me with your creative criticism. I love it.
