Hello there. I was reading MercuryBlue?s thingy on fanfics and I have to 
say I agree with her. Quite frankly, I really despise Usagi and Mamoru?s 
love. It?s not that I?m against it, it?s just I?m sick of love right 
now. So anyway, I?ll try to make this a decent fic. Well here goes 
nothing.



Identity

	She brushed back a piece of loose blonde hair behind her ear.  She 
was a bit nervous, and she reflected it by tapping her foot repeatedly 
against the ground as she sat at the small table in the caf鮠She 
continued to watch the door as she watched the door. If he didn?t come 
in five minutes, she would leave the caf頨appily. Unfortunately just as 
the five minutes were up he walked in, scanned the area, spotted her and 
waved while walking towards her. She sighed and then quickly put a happy 
smile on her face.
	?Hi Mamo-chan!? she called out cheerily, though in reality she 
really wasn?t all that cheery about this whole thing.
	?Hi Usako! Sorry I?m late, too much traffic.?
	She internally cringed when he called her that name. Nevertheless, 
she continued her cheery fa硤e. 
	?So how was your day?? she asked as if she were really 
interested.
	?Oh the hospital staff is so nice, and the patients are great?.? 
and on and on he went.
	Meanwhile her interested started to drift and she thought back to 
how she got stuck in this situation, with her being bored with Mamoru 
and why her hair was stuck in this ridiculous hairstyle that was 
incredibly painful. It all started a year ago with that damn ring.


~ A year Ago ~

	Every one had gathered at Rei?s temple to hear Usagi?s great news.
	?Hey, where?s Rei?? asked Ami.
	Just as Ami said, this Rei walked in giggling in to her hand and 
looking generally happy.
	?Speak of the devil,? replied Mako. ?And what are you so happy 
about??
	?Nothing really, just had a good day with Yuuichirou, that?s 
all,? Rei replied nicely for once, instead of covering her true 
feelings for him like she usually did.
	Every body looked at her with surprise but said nothing about, 
figuring that if she was happy and willing to tell them why for once, 
why blow it?
	It was at that moment in silence that Usagi decided to break her 
great news.
	?Guess what guys?? she asked and before the groups could answer 
she supplied it. ?Mamo-chan and I are getting married!? she said while 
displaying her ring to every one.
	Everyone gathered around, oohed, aahed at it, gave their 
congratulations, and later ate the cookies that Mako had supplied. The 
group sat and talked some more about the wedding plans and such, when it 
began to grow late. As everyone began to leave Usagi asked Mina to walk 
home with her.
	At first the walk was a quiet one until Usagi sighed deeply and 
sadly, and said, ?Mina can we sit down for a minute. I need to discuss 
something with you.?
	Mina of course agreed, and since there was no where really to sit 
they sat on the curb since it was a pretty deserted road. They sat there 
for a bit again not saying anything until Usagi finally began to speak.
	?Mina, you know how Mamo-chan and I have been going out for ages 
and eons right?? Mina nodded agreement to this. So Usagi continued. 
?Well I have a secret that I have to tell you and you can?t tell the 
others. Okay? Well here I go. Mina I really don?t love Mamo-chan any 
more.?
	?WHAT?? exclaimed Mina, with her eyes wide open in shock. ?You 
don?t mean that, do you??
	?Yes I do Mina. I really do. I?m quite frankly tired of him. And 
you want to know what caused it? He stopped being interesting. He 
stopped living for himself and now he only lives for me. It?s quite 
scary. It?s like going out with a really friendly stalker. And I can?t 
stand him or it any more. So now, I must ask you for a really important 
favor. Do you think you can do it for me?? Usagi asked earnestly. She 
paused a moment before asking her favor took a deep breath and asked, 
?Mina will you become me??
	Mina looked at her in shock. Had her princess just asked her to 
become the princess? Finally, Mina stammered out, ?What??
	?Will you please be me and continue to date Mamo-chan so that our 
destinies are not too terribly altered? Please?? pleaded Usagi. ?You?ll 
get to be the princess and Sailor Moon and all. I really won?t mind 
since that stuff never really floated my boat. Please Mina, say that you 
will.?
	Mina sat there a moment thinking. Usagi was really the princess, 
and she was suppose to do what the princess wanted. Plus she had been 
looking for love, and here was love, maybe not love specifically for 
Mina, but it was love. Besides she liked being the leader and it would 
be? 
?Wait,? she thought, ?nobody can use the crystal but royalty.? 
She then voiced this problem to Usagi. 
Usagi looked at her and laughed. She then got quite serious and 
said, ?That stuff is just nonsense. We made up that myth so that nobody 
would try to steal it. Nobody would want to try to steal anything they 
can?t use, now would they??
	Mina thought about that, and reasoned that was a pretty valid 
point. Mina thought some more and the more she thought about it the 
nicer it sounded. She finally came to her conclusion.
	?I?ll do it Usagi.?
	?You will? That?s great!? exclaimed Usagi.
	Immediately the two started to discuss the whole plan and made the 
big, switch that night, Usagi becoming Mina and Mina becoming Usagi. It 
worked had been working perfectly until recently.


	?Hey Usako, are you paying attention?? asked Mamoru a little 
worried.
	?What I?m sorry, you were saying?? Mina a.k.a. Usako asked.
	?I wasn?t saying anything, the waitress was,? said Mamoru.
	Mina looked up and saw the waitress looking at her with a rather 
peeved look on her face. 
	?Oh sorry. Mamo-chan I really don?t feel well. I think I would 
like to go home.?
	?Ok, I?ll walk you home.?
	As they started to walk home, Mina nearly turned the wrong way to 
her old home. Mamoru after that guided her by the arm home.


	Mina walked up to her room with Mamoru following close behind her. 
She entered her room, turned to close the door, and almost smashed it 
into Mamoru.
	?Ouch!? exclaimed Mamoru.
	?Oh sorry Mamo-chan. I didn?t know you were following me to my 
room.?
	?That?s okay. But, are you okay? You seem kind of distant,? asked 
Mamoru deeply concerned. 
	?Yeah I?m fine, I?ve just been thinking about some things,? 
replied Mina as she sat down on her bed.
	?You sure? It seems like what ever you?ve been thinking about 
it?s been occupying a lot of your time.?
	?Sorry if I actually think about things,? replied Mina, who was 
now getting a bit irked that Mamoru kept bugging her at what was the 
matter.
	Mamoru was silent for a moment as he stared at Minako. He sighed 
and looked downwards for a moment. He then looked up at her and stared 
directly into her eyes.
?Minako, this whole different identities thing isn?t going to 
work. It?s bothering you too much,? said Mamoru while still staring at 
her.
Mina looked at him in shock for a moment then quickly cleared it 
off her face and replied, ?I have no idea what you?re talking about 
Mamo-chan.?
	Mamoru smiled and shook his finger at her mockingly.
	?Don?t give me that Minako,? he said mock chiding her, all the 
while smiling.
	?Alright, you win,? sighed Mina.
	?I always do,? said Mamoru jokingly.
	?So. How?d you know?? asked Mina.
	?At first it was your eyes. Her eyes are darker than yours are. 
In addition, her hair is lighter. However, what really gave it away is, 
that she has a freckle on her right leg on the inner thigh. You don?t,? 
finished Mamoru, smiling still.
	Mina blushed slightly at his reference to the freckle clue. She 
then looked away from him and sighed.
	?So. What happens now?? asked Mina sadly.
	?What do you mean?? asked Mamoru.
	?Well are you going to leave me now and demand then Usagi return 
to her rightful position?? asked Mina sadly.
	?Did I leave you when I found out who you really were? And what 
makes you think I wasn?t feeling the same way about Usagi as she did 
towards me?? asked Mamoru grinning.
	?Then why did you ask her to marry you??
	?I was hoping this would send her over the brink and she would 
weasel her way out of it. Guess I was right,? replied Mamoru.
	?That still really doesn?t answer the question,? sighed Mina. 
?What happens to us??
	?Does anything have to happen?? asked Mamoru.
	Mina thought a moment and looked at her hands. She thought of all 
the memories she?d had with Mamoru. She suddenly looked up and replied 
smiling, ?No. Nothing has to happen to us. Nothing has to change.? 
	?Good. I was hoping you?d say that. I?ve grown to love you a lot 
Minako,? said Mamoru.
	?So have I Mamo-chan. Please, call me Mina?? asked Mina 
tentatively.
	?Alright Mina,? replied Mamoru as he leaned into her to kiss her.

Alright I?m done! WOOHOO! Sorry about that. It?s just that this story 
took a long time to write out and all. Okay then time to do the post-
perfunctory stuff. I DO NOT OWN THESE CHARACTERS, except maybe the 
waitress, but who cares? ANYWAY, THESE CHARACTERS BELONG TO SOMEONE 
OTHER THAN ME. Okay then, that?s taken care of. Alright time to do the
