Hey minna! I don't know if this sucks or not, but if it does, here're my excuses. This is my first songfic, this is my first WAFF fic (at least *I* consider it WAFF), and this is my first Alternate Reality. So please just read it and tell me what you think of it. I was just listening to my Enya CD, "The Memory of Trees", and reading the lyrics to her songs and this idea just hit me. I'm not one to ignore inspiration, especially when it's midnight and I've got nothing better to do. Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon. I don't own "On My Way Home," Enya does. How clearer can ya get? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Title: On My Way Home By: BlackIris3 Email: blackiris3_chan I have been given one moment from heaven as I am walking surrounded by night, Stars high above me make a wish under moonlight. Her soft feet sank into the wet sand, the tide rejoining the ocean, and left smal, child-size footprints behind her as she walked down the deserted beach. Her hair shone silver under the moonlight as the child lifted her face to the sky. Her mother was a little ways behind her, they were out for their nightly stroll along the beautiful shore. A giggle rose between her lips as the chilly water swept around her calves, the sand tickling her as it squished between her toes. The child's family owned a small beach-house along this shore, which they used during vacations. The girl loved this place and she never wanted to leave, but kindergarten would be starting soon... The silver child's mother strolled up behind her and lifted the child into her warm arms. "Darling, make a wish." Her mother gazed lovingly at her beautiful daughter. The child again lifted her head to the sky, the moon's gentle rays making the child's face even more beautiful. Her blue eyes gazed wonderously at the moon. 'I wish... I could fall in love...' The moon smiled down on the mother and child. The moon heard her daughter's wish, and remembered it; her wish under moonlight. On my way home I remember only good days. On my way home I remember all the best days. I'm on my way home I can remember every new day. The girl looked out at the sea one last time before sadly climbing into the backseat of the car. The child's hair was gold now, in the sunlight. She looked out the back window of the car, a single tear making its way down her face as the beach-house and the beloved ocean she had spent all summer in grew smaller and smaller as the car drove away, back to their permanent home in the city. She didn't want to leave, she never did. She always felt more at home there than at their home in the city. She loved the beach-house, she could remember all the fun she had there over the summer. Waking up to the smell of a mix of mother's pancakes and the ocean, spending all day in the ocean or just laying on the sand, letting the sun's rays tan her little body, her nightly walks down the shore, gazing athe the moon, and, mostly, her wishes under the moonlight. But she would be back for her next vacation, and she'd once again be able to do all that. She couldn't wait... I move in silence with each step taken, snow falling round me like angels in flight, Far in the distance is my wish under moonlight. Soft footsteps were embedded in the snow covering the white beach. The silver child was now a beautiful woman. She walked silently down the beach, her hair once more silver under the soft rays of the moon. The pure white snow fell gently around her, landing in her hair and on her shoulders, giving her an innocent white glow along with her silver glow. Soft footsteps were heard behind her, as strong, protective arms wrapped around her. Warm lips pressed gently to her cheek and white neck. She smiled at the moon and truned around in the embraces so she could look into his handsome face. She wrapped one arm around his neck and the other lifted to gently stroke his ebony hair. "I love you." She smiled lovingly, "I love you too." Their lips met in a gentle kiss, silver rays of light shining around them. The moon smiled down at the couple, her daughter had gotten her wish, the wish she made so long ago, under the moonlight... On my way home I remember only good days. On my way home I remember all the best days. I'm on my way home I can remember every new day The silvery woman walked along the beach, holding the hand of a small, pink-haired child. The woman's husband walked on the other side of the child, holding her other hand. The silver woman took her pink child in her arms as she lifted her gaze to the moon. She whispered a soft thank you, and the moon's only reply was to shine her silver rays brighter on her children, illuminating their path. The woman lowered her blue eyes to look into her child's cinnamon red eyes. "Make a wish, Darling." The pink child gazed up at the silver-blue moon hanging so beautifully in the black velvet sky. The child wished to fall in love... The moon smiled at her lovely children, full of such beautiful, innocent wishes. The woman kissed her pink child's forehead then leaned over and kissed her husband's warm lips. "I love you." The man wrapped his arms around his silver wife and pink child. "I love you too, Usako." The small, pink child looked up at her parents. They were leaving tomorrow, she didn't want to leave though. When she told her mother this the response she got was an understanding smile. One of her father's friends were coming tomorrow and they were bringing their son too. Chibi-usa couldn't wait to meet Helios... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- So minna, what'd ya think? Feedback is good. Just to tell everyone, I have chapter 6 of The Real Serena Tsukino all written up, it just needs to be typed up. So, I doubt I'll finish it before the deadline so it will definately be up next week. Peace, love, and Shinji! ~BlackIris3
