Hi everyone! This is my first completed fanfic. I chose to use the Sailor Moon characters for this story. I've used the Japanese names, instead of the NA names. So here's a guideline to help out those who don't know who's who: Usagi-Serena Mamoru-Darien Motoki-Andrew Rei-Raye Minako-Mina Makoto-Lita Ami-Amy Tuxedo Kamen-Tuxedo Mask Also I use some Japanese terms, so I've typed up a handy little dictionary For you Japanese illiterate people: Odango Atama-Meatball Head or Dumpling Brains Kurai-dark or evil Onegai-please Hikawa Shrine-in the anime it's called the "Cherry Hill Temple" Senshi-soldier or warrior Koishii-darling or beloved Baka- idiot or stupid I have a sucky title but I couldn't think of nothing better. I would rate this somewhere around PG I guess. I don't really know, just give it your own rating. Well I think that about covers it for the info. Now on with the disclaimers. DISCLAIMERS: I don't own Sailor Moon or any of the characters. I just think using them for stories are fun. I'm making absolutely no money from this, so suing me isn't gonna do you much good. Besides you wouldn't get much anyways. Any feedback is greatly appreciated you can e-mail me at oceanfae6425@yahoo.com ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Remember Me By, Fae-chan ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "Hey Motoki-san!" Motoki turned around to see a very bubbly Usagi bounce into the arcade. "Hi Usagi-chan, what are you so happy about today?" Usagi flashed her brightest smile at Motoki and took a seat across the counter. "Well you see, I passed today's test for Geometry. See?" Usagi held up a paper that was marked with a B+ in red marker. "That's great Usagi-chan." She nodded her head in agreement. "And I didn't even get detention today either. Can I have a chocolate milkshake please?" "Sure, hold on a sec." Motoki turned around to make the shake while Usagi continued to admire her paper. She couldn't wait to see the shocked looks on her friend's faces when she showed them. Usagi giggled to herself. *Rei will flip for sure.* She was so engulfed in her thoughts that she didn't notice someone was sitting next to her until her paper wasn't in her hands anymore. "Hey give that back! Oh, Mamo-ch--Mamoru-san." "Well, Odango passed a test. How about that." Mamoru was now carefully examining Usagi's paper. "Hi Mamoru, you want anything?" Motoki looked at Mamoru as he placed Usagi's order on the counter. "Just a cup of coffee will be fine." Mamoru then reverted his attention back to Usagi. "You sure this is your paper? An Odango Atama like you couldn't have gotten a grade like that." Mamoru tossed the paper onto the counter and started to sip his coffee. "Be careful! I want to show this to my friends and parents." Usagi folded the test and put it in her bookbag protectively. She was trying to keep from crying, so she hid her face from Mamoru. In the final battle with the Kurai Moon, Mamoru had lost all memories of her and the senshi. She wanted so much for him to remember her, but things were the same as if they had never met. "Y'know Odango, you shouldn't put it there, you might lose it. You'll forget your bag here, or otherwise trip and it'll fall out." "You're so mean! Why do you always have to make fun of me!? You have a heart colder than ice Mamoru." Usagi started to cry. All she wanted was for Mamoru to remember. "Onegai Mamoru, why can't you just remember me!" Usagi slapped her hand over her mouth with the realization of what she just said. She ran out of the arcade crying. Her fragile body was shaking violently with her tears. "What was that all about?" Motoki who had just walked in again, saw Usagi leave crying. "What did you say this time? You've never made her cry before." "I...I don't know. I didn't mean to make her so upset. She just told me to remember her, then she left. And she ended up leaving her bag here too. I should give it to her. See you Motoki-san." Mamoru grabbed the bag and left. As he was walking, something fell out of the bag. "What's this?" Mamoru picked up the small notebook that had fallen from the bag. "Cute, it's a little bunny." From the bottom something was sticking out of the pages. As curiosity claimed him, he pulled the shiny sheet from the book. What he saw he certainly wasn't expecting. *It's a picture of Usagi...and me! But I don't remember taking this. She's so happy, I'm even smiling. And the look in her eyes. It's like were in love.* Then Usagi's words replayed in his mind: Remember me. Now Mamoru was running full speed towards Rei's temple. *Maybe Rei-chan will know what this is about.* When he reached the Hikawa Shrine, he found Rei, Minako, Makoto, and Ami in a circle around an unconscious Usagi. "Rei-chan, is Usagi okay?" Mamoru was suddenly concerned for her, although he couldn't imagine why. "What's wrong with her?" Rei looked up with tears in her eyes. She quickly wiped them away. "She'll be fine. She came here crying and then fell unconscious on the steps of the shrine." Rei knew why she was so sad, but there was nothing she could say or do. Luna had said that he must remember on his own. "Could you stay with her while the girls and I get more damp clothes and herbs?" Mamoru nodded his head and sat down beside Usagi as the girls turned to enter the shrine. He lifted up Usagi so her head was resting on his chest. "Poor Usagi-chan. I didn't mean to hurt you like that. I'm so sorry." Mamoru stroked her hair softly. *She really is very pretty and so sweet and kind too.* Mamoru smiled to himself as he gazed at the picture that he was still holding in his hands. He turned the picture around to see if there was a date on it. Instead he found a small note in his handwriting. The note read: Dear Usako, I love you. Keep this picture and remember me. I know we will soon face the final battle between the kurai forces, but stay strong because we will defeat them. No matter what happens, I'll find a way back to you. Love always, Mamo-chan*~ "Did I write this? I don't remember…Usako?" At the mention of her pet name, Usagi stirred in Mamoru's arms. "Mamo-chan..." "Mamo-chan? Of course, that's what Usagi almost called me in the arcade, and its written in this note too." Mamoru looked down at the small girl in his arms and smiled. "I never realized just how small she really is." Suddenly, Mamoru felt his body's strength leave him. *What's going on? I can't move!* Then his eyes dulled and he started to see visions of his life playing in his mind. ~*~*~*~ "Hey watch where you're going, Odango Atama." "Don't call me Odango Atama! My name is Usagi." "Whatever Odango." "Mamoru-baka you are a total jerk!" Usagi stuck her tongue out at Mamoru as he plastered a sly grin on his face. ~*~*~*~ ~*~*~*~ "I love you Usako. Always." "And I love you too, Mamo-chan. Umm…Mamo-chan?" "Yes?" Usagi just giggled. "I think I got some ice cream on your face." "Oh, and what are we gonna do about that?" Mamoru tickled Usagi and they fell onto the grass laughing. Then they watched the sun set over the lake. ~*~*~*~ ~*~*~*~ "Sailor Moon, watch out!" Sailor Moon turned around just in time to see Tuxedo Kamen running towards her. He stepped in front of Sailor Moon taking the force of the attack. "Oh no, Tuxedo Kamen. Onegai, don't die." "I…I will find a way…back to you…Usako. Don't… cry now. I love you…" "No, Mamo-chan! Don't leave me. You can't leave me. You can't die. Mamo- chan!" ~*~*~*~ Just as Mamoru's visions ended, the girls had come back with the necessary items to help Usagi. "Mamoru-san, are you okay? You kinda spaced out for a while there." Mamoru looked up to see a very concerned Rei staring down at him. "Yeah, I'm fine. How's Usagi-chan? Mamoru saw that she was still lying in his arms. Ami was checking her pulse, Makoto was mixing some herbs, and Minako was placing a cool cloth on Usagi's forehead. "She'll be fine. She's just sleeping now." Ami released her hands from Usagi's wrist and took the medicine from Makoto. "Would you please tilt Usagi's head so I can give her this medicine." "Sure." Mamoru watched as Ami poured the mix into Usagi's mouth. "There that should help her wake up." Ami set the bowl down. All four girls made an excuse that they had to help Rei around the temple so Mamoru volunteered to stay with Usagi until she awoke. No sooner had they left, that Usagi stirred again. She slowly opened her eyes. "So warm…feels nice." Usagi lifted her head to see Mamoru staring at her carefully. "Mamo-chan." Her voice was barely a whisper, but Mamoru heard it very clearly. Mamoru was just now making some sense of things. He started to faintly put the pieces together. *Usagi is Sailor Moon. I'm Tuxedo Kamen. I'm in love with little Odango.* "Mamo-chan?" Usagi lifted herself to a sitting position so she was now looking at Mamoru. The sudden movement caused something to fall out of her uniform and cause a clattering sound as it hit the pavement. Mamoru just looked at the golden star-locket in awe. Suddenly, Usagi jumped back from Mamoru. "I'm sorry, I forgot that you—I'm so sorry." Usagi sat down a few feet from Mamoru with her head down. Mamoru just looked at her. He could tell that she was going to cry again. He picked up the star-locket. "Usagi, what is this?" Mamoru held out the locket so she could see. "It's my star-locket." Usagi never lifted her gaze from the ground in front of her. Then suddenly she brightened up. "Do you remember?" Mamoru saw the hope and longing shining in her eyes. "I don't know. Maybe…a little." "But you do remember something?" "I think, unless it's all a dream. You're Sailor Moon, and I'm Tuxedo Kamen. The other girls are the Sailor Senshi. Am I right?" Usagi nodded her head solemnly. "And I guess I'm in love with you…" Usagi jumped back into Mamoru's arms. "You do remember! Oh I'm so glad." Mamoru nodded his head slowly. "I guess but I don't remember everything. I don't know why I'm Tuxedo Kamen and I don't know why I'm in love with you." He could see Usagi's eyes dull at the last statement. But then she just slowly nodded her head. "I see…" Usagi picked up her locket and opened it. A beautiful melody started to play and a white light emanated from the face of the locket. Mamoru watched as Usagi set the locket on the ground between them. "All you have to do is touch it. Picture your visions and concentrate." Although a little uncertain, and a bit surprised by Usagi's calmness and maturity, Mamoru put his hand on the locket and closed his eyes. The second his hand touched the locket, a white beam shot out and marked his forehead with Earth's planet symbol. As the symbol melted into his forehead his visions became clearer. He saw the last battle as it was after he had fallen. He saw how his love had risen into the air, hate, pain, and sorrow in her eyes. He saw how her tears had become the silver crystal, and how she had transformed from Sailor Moon to Princess Serenity. He saw how she had used her crystal and the strength of her emotions to defeat the Kurai Moon. Finally, he saw as his princess fell gracefully to the earth, all of her power drained from her small body. The last thing he saw, was the beautiful princess laying her head on him and whispering softly her love for him, before she too fell into a deep sleep while the other four warriors lay beside them. As he once again opened his eyes, the gaze that met him was one of deep concern and passion. He stared at her sky-blue eyes, filled with all the love and innocence of a child. Mamoru moved closer to Usagi and searched her eyes as if they held all the answers of the universe. As he moved even closer, he took the small girl in his arms and held her close. Usagi's turned the lightest shade of pink as she listened to the familiar heartbeat of her only love. "Usako." Mamoru's embrace became tighter and more loving as he started to recognize the girl in his arms as the one he loves. He stared down at her as she started to lift her head from its resting spot. *She fits so perfectly in my arms. She is the one I love. * As Mamoru gazed warmly at Usagi he could see how much she really love him. "Mamo-chan?" Usagi looked up in time to see Mamoru slowly tilt his head towards hers. Usagi lifted her head and closed her eyes. Mamoru closed his eyes and kissed his koishii. What happened next was something straight out of a fairy tale. As their lips met Mamoru felt a new remembrance in the corner of his mind. He saw mental pictures of him and Princess Serenity in the Moon Kingdom, and also of one of them just before the final battle that separated them. Slowly and cautiously Mamoru broke free from the kiss. When he opened his eyes he saw a very tired Usagi fall weakly against him with a small, contented sigh. Mamoru, who had finally regained the last of his memories, held his koishii with great tenderness. "Usa-koishii, I am so sorry. Helping me regain my memories must have drained you of your energy. Forgive me." Usagi looked up and smiled weakly at Mamoru. "There is nothing to forgive, Mamo-chan. I love you beyond all boundaries. I would give my life for you and you are worth every drop of energy I have." Mamoru looked down at the young woman he loved and admired. He then softly stroked her hair as she rested so she could regain the energy she had lost. From inside the temple the four girls watched as the lovers embraced and whispered softly. "It's about time they're together again. It's no fun having Usagi-chan sad and depressed all the time." The other three nodded in agreement to what Minako had said. Then, they saw as they kissed once more, their bodies silhouetted against the sunset. "I love you Usako, there's no force on the Earth that will change my feelings for you." "I love you too, Mamo-chan, always. Always."
