Hope everyone has a safe and nice holiday season. Happy Holidays!! Authors Notes: I know a lot of people are going to send me flames and be cussing at me with this story. I only wrote thisstory for an English Project and I needed some characters. I decided that since I haven't been writing a lot for my other story, well, give people this to read. It's a story about hatred, regret, sadness, and revenge. For all you Raye lovers and Serena lovers and Darien lovers, I'm sorry. The way I characterized them was somewhat sinister, especially Raye. In my original story though, I used different names. This story is in First person,Rayes point of view. If you need to yell at me, please be nice, Although Comments are frequently appreciated! Comments and all those other things can be written to Lunar_Cat@hotmail.com. Disclaimer: Sailor Moon is not owned by me, but by Nako Takeuchi and some other big people. None of these characters are mine. * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * "Princess Serena!" I waved at her as she and Darien were on their way to the castle gardens. They had just announced their engagement a few weeks ago to the kingdom. I had congratulated them, feeling joy on the outside. Deep within my soul, hatred so sinister burned throughout me. Serena, the pretty blond with baby blue eyes, the well-mannered, angelic princess that everyone loved so dearly. She got everything she has ever wanted; being pampered her whole life. She never knew what it felt like to hurt or to be betrayed as I have felt. In fact, she was the one who caused my hurt. Darien and I used to be an item, but then she came along and stole him from me. I walked through the corridors that were filled with richly colored tapestry and entered my room. I went to the balcony that overlooked the gardens. Butterflies of all kind fluttered here and there, gathering nectar from flowers. The roses, lilies, and chrysanthemums filled the air with a sweet fragrance that drifted into my room. Amidst all this, I saw Darien and Serena sitting on a bench, talking and laughing. It is known throughout the kingdom that Serena loved roses. I watched in jealously as Darien tucked a blood red rose into Serena's hair and smiled. I cannot stand this! That should have been me with the rose in my hair and the smile on my face. Filled with unspeakable anger, I grabbed the nearest thing, a perfume bottle, and hurled it against the wall. It shattered into hundreds of pieces as the clear, thin liquid dripped down the wall. The sickly-sweet smell of the perfume filled my nostrils, intoxicating me. Feeling sick from the smell, I walked out of my room. I wish I could crush Serena that easily...but wait, I can. I laughed as a devious and dark plan formed in my head. Tonight was the ball and everyone would be there. It was a perfect night to get my revenge. After changing into a black silk dress, I tucked a black rose into my bun and left my room. I entered to see everyone drinking, dancing, and having a great time. I spotted Serena talking to one of her friends in the corner. She waved for me to come over, so I walked slowly to her. "You look lovely Raye," Serena complimented me. "You too," I plastered a smile on my face. Serena and I stood on the side; laughing and giggling about the new gossip that was circulating around the kingdom. I asked her what had happened to Princess Lita, and Serena replied that apparently some girl had stolen her suitor. "I feel sorry for Lita," Serena sighed. "It must feel so horrible." "Yes, it does," I said bitterly. "Rena, would you come with me to my room?" "Sure. What for?" Serena asked with curiosity. "I have a big surprise waiting for you," I grinned. On the way to my room, I gave her the black rose I had strewn in my bun earlier in the evening and she tucked it behind her ear. We walked in the dark empty room. Michi was gone, as I had predicted, probably out with the other ladies in waiting. The moon cast a beam through my balcony, lighting the gardens down below with it's silver light. I pretended to rummage around in my drawers searching for nothing. Serena stood staring at the moon, leaning on the balcony rail. I brought out the knife that was passed on from generation to generation in my family, finally landing in my possession. Engraved on the silver hilt was my family crest. It read: "Don't let anything get in the way of your goals". There was a picture of a fence blocking someone's path, with that person knocking the fence down. On the other side of the fence were stars, this represented goals. I advanced toward her, a malicious smile spreading across my face. The knife glittered in the moonlight, giving off a silver glare as I brought the knife up over my head and embedded it into Rena's soft flesh. Blood, warm fresh red-blood sprayed on my hands. Serena screamed in pain and surprise as she looked to see who had stabbed her. There I did it. My plan is complete. I stabbed her in the back like she had done to me. She leaned heavily on the rail. Blood dripping everywhere as the sword still lay in her back. "Now you know how it feels Serena," I cackled. "Now you know how it feels to be stabbed in the back." "Why?" She whispered almost inaudibly. She gave a weak cough, blood drooling out of her mouth. She went into a small coughing fit and started to spit up even more blood. "Why have you done this to me?" "You stole Darien from me," I hissed in her ear. "What?" She crumpled to the ground in began another one of her coughing fits. I went around her and slowly took the sword out of her back. She yelled in agony as the sharp metal slid out of her flesh. Holding the knife in my left hand, I looked down on her as she looked up with watery eyes. I licked the sword and felt the warm salty blood slide on my tongue. "I thought you were my friend," Serena whispered before dying. Feeling quite satisfied, I wiped the watery-blood from the sword onto a handkerchief. Then, I went into my room, washed off all the blood and dressed into a nightgown. Glancing once more at Serena's body that lay on the floor, I noticed that in her hand she held the black rose that I had given her. Inspecting it up close, I saw that the thorns had pierced her skin, staying stuck in the thin palm. After the funeral that had just taken place in the gardens, I changed out of my black attire and into one of my prettiest everyday dresses. I arrived at Darien's door and knocked on it. The door opened and Darien stood there with rumpled clothes and red eyes. I greeted him cheerfully and walked into his dark room. The curtains were drawn closed while the air smelt suspiciously like wine. I looked to see some bottles, in fact four bottles on the ground. Doesn't he know that alcohol isn't the answer to any of his problems? "I don't feel like having any visitors right now," He sat on his bed with a bottle of wine in his hand. "What are you talking about? Aren't you happy?" I asked. He gave me a strange look and guzzled down some wine. "Are you crazy?" He shifted his eyes on me. "Serena's dead. Why am I happy?" "You and I can be together now," I smiled. "What are you talking about Raye?" Darien stood up. "Serena was obviously in the way of our relationship," I said. "You're the one who killed her aren't you?" Darien said. "Of course. She was the one who ruined everything," I gazed at him with a cold glare. "We could've been married if it weren't for her." "Raye, we weren't even going out!" Darien yelled. "Yes we were," I pouted. "Snap out of it!" Darien shook me. "I never liked you in that way! Why can't you get that through your head! The first moment I met you, I was only a friend to you." "No," I shook my head, not wanting to believe him. "No, no, no!" "You killed your only friend," Darien said with venom in his voice. "Don't be absurd. I have many friends," I said angrily. "Name one," He said. I stood, speechless. He is right. I do not have any friends. Serena was my only friend, and I killed her. "Don't worry Raye I won't tell anyone what you did. I'll let you live with what you did." Guilt consumed me day in and day out after my talk with Darien. I needed to get rid of the memory...get rid of the hurting. I wrote a confession and lay it on my dresser with a red rose on top. Making sure no one saw me; I moved stealthily out of the castle and took a walk through a dark forest. The moon was in its waxing stage and shone through the dark trees and lighting a path for me. After walking for twenty minutes, I came to a cliff. The moons beam now shown down on the ocean before me, like a path. The sky was lit with many stars, each twinkled with happiness. Tears of regret, sorrow, anger, and sadness rolled down my face as I stared at the now blurry scenery. The wind blew through my hair, blowing some strands back and some sticking to my teary face. I spread my arms out like a bird descending from the sky, closed my eyes, and jumped off the cliff, waiting for the rocky bottom to tear my body apart. * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * ) * How was it? Sinister huh? My mom was quite disturbed when I let her read it. She never thought that Ditzy ol' me could write something so vicious. Neither did I. I surprised myself! Hehehe.
