A Silly Dream by Aisuru I looked up at the balcony. Above me was a slight figure dressed in flowing white. Her face was hidden, and her voice was soft: "Tuxedo Mask! Bring me the Silver Crystal! This was the same dream I always had. I knew that if I stepped forward, asking to see her face, she would repeat her plea and the dream would end. So I decided to take a different approach. I looked around me instead. I was surrounded by a thick mist, and there was water behind me. Was it the ocean? No... it was a swimming pool! And glittering at the bottom of it was a sparkling stone. That must be the crystal! I looked back up at her, pointing towards the water in question. "Yes, bring me the Silver Crystal!" she repeated. "Oh, get it yourself!" cried an annoyed voice from my right. I turned to see a woman with long black hair and dressed in a floor length violet gown. She turned large violet eyes towards me. "Besides, he is busy at the moment!" she purred seductively, as she took a drink from a tray I was holding -- whoa! Where did that come from? "Are you two nuts?" she cried in despair. "I'd get my hair all wet! And my beautiful dress..." "Yeah, Princess, you lazy bum, leaves the help alone!" cried another voice, coming from a stunning blond in an orange dress. She flashed me a large, flirting smile before taking a drink for herself. "You dropped the Silver Crystal," she continued. "Why don't you get it yourself?" The fog slowly lifted. "Hey, who unplugged the fog machine?" a tall brunette in a green dress muttered. "My apologies, ma'am," said a deep voice. I turned to see a man in a tuxedo and a white mask plugging in the machine. I jumped in surprise. There were men in tuxedos and domino masks everywhere! They were carrying trays of drinks and platters of snacks. One was giving a back massage to a petite girl with blue-black hair in a long blue gown. She was reading a book. I turned back towards the balcony, confused but hoping to get a glimpse of the Princess' face. Just then the fog machine kicked in, and she was again hidden from view. "Come on, guys! I NEED that crystal!" she whined, hidden from view. "Please, Tuxedo Mask, won't you get me the silver crystal?" I set down my tray and turned, planning to jump into the water and fetch the crystal, when at least a dozen other masked men leapt into the water to do the same. "Oh, what fun!" I heard the blond in the orange dress cry in delight as I became drenched with the splash. I awoke in my own bed in my own room drenched only with sweat. Next time I have this dream, I'll be sure not to look around! This story first posted on my website(www.geocities.com/aisuru_chan) in 2000 under my previous author name of Aisuru-chan.
