Meeting Michiru by Calicotiger Calicotiger@hotmail.com Note and Disclaimer: Okay, Haruka and Michiru fans, this one's for you. It's just a cute little fic I thought up the other day when I was out of school. Yes, I don't own the Sailor Moon characters, someone else does, but there are too many to name here. For those of you who don't care for H and M, too bad, go read something else 'cause I love them. I use some Japanese words so go get a dictionary if you don't understand them. The song I use in here is from the pok魯n CD 2BA Master. It's originally about Ash and Misty but I thought they were a little to young to be falling in love, and it suited my favorite duo just fine. If you feel this is too short, live, 'cause I think it's just fine. Have fun! Meeting Michiru Michiru pushed her bangs out of her face impatiently. Where was Haruka? She needed to tell her something desperately, and the girl just wouldn't show up. In fact, Michiru had neither seen, nor heard of Haruka since their battle against Eudial where they had gotten the Talismans at last. She had a feeling that the girl was avoiding her, but she didn't know why. She banged her fist on the coffee table, one of her rare displays of emotion. Why couldn't Haruka realize that her happiness depended solely on her being with her? Why wasn't she here? Haruka stood alone at the ocean beach. She had gone there to sort things out. After the fight with Eudial, she had realized something that made her uncomfortable. She loved her partner. She had seen 'the light' in a way, but just couldn't come to grips with it. They were both girls for God's sake! 'Why couldn't love be easier?' she asked herself several times. 'Why did this happen to me?' She leaned back on her car and sighed. She really couldn't ask Michiru if she felt the same way. Michiru would most assuredly be repulsed. 'Stop being such a chicken!' she chided herself. 'All you need to do is ask!' She turned from the sunlit sea in front of her and stepped back into the car. 'She didn't have to do this. It didn't matter that much,' she consoled herself. Liar. 'Another day, another disappointment,' Michiru thought. 'Why don't you call back? Is something wrong? Why won't you tell me, Haruka?' She placed the receiver back. If nothing else, she could go to the ocean. That would cheer her up somewhat. After all, the water was part of her. Just like the wind was a part of Haruka. She would go. 'Dolt. Chicken. Idiot. Why won't you face her? Is the great Senshi finally backing down from a challenge? Are you giving up so soon? Can't face your fears?' Haruka's mind taunted her. 'Are you just going to run to the beach every day and hide?' "Shut up!" she muttered to herself. "I'll do it eventually. I just need to know if it's what I really want." 'Liar. You're just afraid she'll say no.' "I am not!" As the car pulled up to the beach she sighed again. She really was avoiding this confrontation. As she pushed open the door she noticed that she wasn't alone. Even from the back, she could tell it was Michiru. The girl was sitting with her back to Haruka, watching the waves. Not wanting to interrupt, Haruka silently closed the car door and walked over and sat down beside her. "Haruka!" Michiru exclaimed, as she noticed her. "What are you doing here?" "I was going to come here and do a bit of thinking, but I guess that's not possible now. I'll leave if you want me to?" No, no, that's all right. You can stay, I don't mind." Michiru cut in. "Arigato." Haruka replied absentmindedly. You've got to tell her now! She told herself. You won't get a better chance? Out here in the quiet of the night, Beneath the stars and moon We both know we've got somethin' on our minds We won't admit, but it's true You look at me, I look away I wanna' tell you what I'm feeling, but I Don't know where to start I wanna' tell you, but now I'm afraid that You might break my heart Oh, why should anything so easy, ever be so hard to do? I wanna' tell you what I'm feeling and to say that, I love you I practice all the things that I could say, Line by line, every word I tell myself, today could be the day, But every time, I lose my nerve I look at you, you look away I wanna' tell you what I'm feeling, but I don't know where to start I wanna tell you, but now I'm afraid that You might break my heart Oh why should anything so easy, ever be so hard to do? I wanna tell you what I'm felling and to Say that, I love you Passers by wouldn't have noticed the two women sitting in the sand. Only if they had had a keen eye, would they be able to see the shadows cast by the setting sun. The darkness served its purpose well and hid the two from sight. "Haruka? I've been meaning to ask you something?" There! I've finally finished another fanfic! A warning to the rest of you, my next one will be sort of a sequel to 'The Astral Abduction' so that'll hopefully be coming out soon. As usual, I desperately need a life, so please send me mail so I can spend more time on my computer reading it. I don't care what the hell it is as long as I get mail. Ja matta ne! Kal
