Hello everyone! I know a lot of you have been waiting for this moment, so I won't prolong it. Here is the last part of my story, "To Lose Love" I have worked hard on it, and although I'm not sure about this part, it gives me more time to work on my other story, "Finding Faith." Which, in case nobody gets it, has a double meaning. I'd like to thank Lady Guinevere, as always. Please read her story, "Ami's Diaries" which is really good. She told me earlier that she on her way to giving us a conclusion! I'm waiting on the edge of my seat, Guine! My other friend, Bettina, has been with me the whole way, giving me advice, and helping me feel better about my work. Thank you! Sailor Backstreet also deserves some recognition, with her wonderful story, "Sailor Moon meets the Backstreet Boys." It's really good, and funny! Please keep writing it, and please write to me! I'd also like to ask that if Elizabeth Tuckwood reads this story, can you write me? I have been trying to read your story, "Damaged," but my computer is being an ass, and won't let me in. Can you please send it to me? I'm to lazy to e-mail Andrea about the link. Please? All standard disclaimers apply, okay? I DO NOT own Sailor Moon. I wish I did, but like all poor fifteen year old girls, I can't afford to even hope to own Sailor Moon. Is that better? Well, by this point every one of you is probably getting ready to strangle me, so on with the story! -------------------------------------------------------------------- To Lose Love- Part Eight By Acacia Aben -------------------------------------------------------------------- Part Eight Darien froze beside Mina. His mouth opened in shock. "Serena?" he cried in mixed emotion. Happiness and horror. His Serena was sitting on a blanket with a girl her age, an older woman, a young man, around Darien's age, maybe a little younger, and a young boy. On her lap was a tiny baby. It looked natural in her arms. He said it again, this time louder. "Serena?" Mina wasn't beside him anymore. She had slipped away. He took a step forward. Serena hadn't moved. Her mouth was open in an expression of complete horror. She finally gasped for air, and forced out, "Darien? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" He didn't answer, to mesmerized with his Serena to think straight. "I- Serena? Oh Serena!" Serena stumbled to her feet, letting Lisa gently set the baby in his stroller. "Darien? I can't see you. I can't." He steeped forward to choke out. "I'm sorry, Serena. I'm sorry. I love you. I was stupid, and scared. I was scared that I'd hurt you. I don't know how to love someone, and you love everyone. I didn't deserve you. I never did." Serena blinked. She half shook her head, but then a confused expression replaced her frown. "But-" Darien kept talking "I know you probably hate me. Lita and Raye almost killed me when they found out I broke up with you. But Mina has been keeping me company, you know, helping me see that I've been an idiot. I love you, and I have wanted to say that since the day you left." Serena closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, she was crying. "I love you, too. Why didn't you tell me what was bothering you?" The Millers slowly crept away from the couple, at Mina's frantic urging. She was behind a cherry tree, just out of Serena's view, and Darien was much to busy to look for her. The Miller's made their way out of hearing range. Darien blinked, and a half-smile replaced his choked expression. "I don't know. I was stupid. I was afraid that you would get mad at me, or think I was trying to get away from you. So I did just that. I got away from you." Serena's first step toward him was slow. She bumped into the stroller, but paid no attention to it, only made sure it wasn't going to tip over. Then she began to run. She leapt into his arms, and wiped away her tears. Then she kissed him. She turned and led Darien to the baby stroller, and she smiled down at the baby. "Darien? See this baby boy? His name is Rien." Darien nodded. "He a beautiful baby. Why do you have him?" Serena looked down at Rien. "His name is Rien. Which is short for Darien. His name is Darien Tsukino." She used the same thing that got Mina's attention. She said his last name. She glanced up at Darien. "He's your son. I had him eight months after I left home. I found out a month after I left, otherwise I never would have left." Darien wasn't upset. Or at least he didn't look like he was. His face held awe as he slowly reached out and touched the face of his son. Rien gurgled and shifted, unaccustomed to being jerked around as he had when Serena had jolted his carriage running to Darien. "My son." Serena nodded. "He's almost four months old. Do you want to hold him?" Darien's face lit up. "Oh yes. Serena, have I said that I love both of you? I love my family." Serena smiled happily at him, and gently handed him Rien. "I love you. We love you." Darien looked down at the form of his son. "Will you marry me?" [Three months later. (Hey, I don't know anything about planning weddings, so don't shoot me! Blame my mother.)] Serena shifted nervously in her white dress with gold accents on the sleeves and edges. Mina frowned. "Calm down, Serena. Everything's going to be fine." Raye smiled. "You made it here on time, and that's half the battle." She cautiously fingered the sleeve of her red and white maid of honor dress. It was white with a red and white bodice, a red waistline, and red and white skirts. Amy rolled her eyes. "Raye, Can't you be nicer? It is her wedding day." Her dark blue dress looked beautiful on her. It was different from Raye's, being only a bridesmaid. She had and all blue gown with white edging at the sleeves, waistline, and bottom. It looked beautiful on her. "I think Serena's going to have the best life ever. Does my dress look okay?" Lita interjected, twirling around to show it off. She was wearing a green dress exactly like Amy's only green in place of the blue. All the Sailor Scouts were Serena's bridesmaids. They were wearing dresses of different colors, but identical styles. Mina's was orange, Amy's dark blue, and Lita's dark green. Raye's coloring was placed different, but in the same style. Serena nodded. "You look great, Lita. How about me?" Raye rolled her eyes. "Meatball Head, how can you ask that? You look perfect! You're beautiful. I can't even believe you could ask that." Mina giggled. "She's right, Serena. You make a beautiful bride. I'm so happy for you." Amy added sincerely, "We all are. You're going to be so happy with Darien." Serena blinked away tears. Tears of joy. "I know. Darien is already a wonderful father. He loves Rien more than anything. But I can still remember my father's expression when I showed him Rien. Darien never ran faster. But everything was worked out in the end." Raye was laughing hysterically at the image of Darien running like a maniac from Serena's father. "I can't imagine it! It's too funny." Lita was laughing too. In between laughs, she added, "Yeah, I can't believe Darien actually made it to the church without being killed by your father." Serena made a face. "It's not funny. Dad was mad! He could have murdered him!" Amy smiled. "Not likely. Then Rien wouldn't have a father, and you wouldn't be getting married, which was first on his mind." Mina opened her mouth to add her two cents, but they were interrupted by a knock. "Yo, dudes? Time for the wedding to start! You need to get out here," Chad's voice called. He was seating the guests, at Serena's request. He and Raye were dating seriously, and no one would be surprised if they got married soon. Serena took a deep breath, and checked her veil, then headed out the door after her friends. Her father was waiting to escort her down the isle, and Chad hurried to his seat, after giving Raye a kiss. She blushed. The march that cued her bridesmaids and maid of honor started, and Raye went down first. Then Mina followed, Amy came next. Finally Lita came. Before she went she whispered hurriedly, "Good luck, Princess!" In Serena's ear, then she went down, leaving only Serena next. Once all the girls were standing at the front, the wedding march started. Serena could finally see Darien. He was at the front, staring at her with joy on his face. She started down the isle, holding her father's arm tightly. She passed Chad, and her friends from Nevada, Lisa, Jennie, Tommy and Lance, who had flown out just to see her wedding. The outer scouts, Heather, Alex, Michelle, and Susan. They smiled at her, obviously wishing her well. She came to the front, passing her mother and her brother Sammy. Her mother was holding Rien, tears falling down her face. Serena's father smiled at her gently, then handed her arm to Darien. But then he whispered, "You take good care of my little girl, or I'll come after you!" Darien's eyes widened, and he looked a little nervous. Serena smiled at him gently. "I love you, Darien. I always will." Darien smiled at her with love in his eyes. "I love you, Serena. More than I can ever tell you." They turned at the same time to the priest. the ceremony itself was a blur to Serena, filled only with the love she could see in her Darien's eyes. She could only remember the kiss. It seemed to go on forever, but before she knew it she was at the reception, with her whole life ahead of her. -------------------------------------------------------------------- The End. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Well?
