Adam Allgood pianodrums@aol.com I have noticed that other authors post disclaimers before their stories. Here's one. Sailor Moon, and all related characters belong to Naoko Takeuchi and Kodansha, Bandai, Dic, etc. Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry, and all of it's related characters belong to Paramount Pictures. Any other characters were created by me. Star Trek: Sailor Moon Mutual Dilemma Chapter 3 The temple on Cherry Hill always has been a favorite meeting place for the Sailors, ever since the appearance of Sailor Mars. Rei and her grandfather maintained the peaceful shrine. Lita, Mina, and Rei were already at the temple when Ami and Serena arrived with Luna. The five scouts moved to the rear of the shrine, so they could meet in peace. Artemis, the white guardian cat, turned on a television in the back room. It featured a tall, dark haired newscaster who seemed a little flustered. He was not wearing a suit jacket, and there were people moving about behind him. "Oh wow, he's so cute!" exclaimed the brown haired Lita. "He almost reminds me of my..." "Yes, your old boyfriend!" said the other four girls in unison. "How did you know that?" asked Lita. "All right, get serious. Here comes the report" said Luna. The five girls and two cats looked at the TV. The news anchor began to report. "Approximately thirty minutes ago, many citizens reported seeing an unidentified flash of light in the sky. Eye witnesses we have interviewed claim that the flash 'lit up the sky with an ellipse shape.' At this moment, helicopters are examining the sky at the apparent location of the flash. It is unknown at this time exactly what the flash was. Reports state that the phenomenon caused no damage. Repeat, it caused no damage. I will now refer you to a scientist at the observatory." The screen image changed to reveal a black haired scientist in a white suit. He held several papers in his hand, as if he had prepared a speech. "At the observatory, we have been monitoring the sky ever since the bright explosion. For the last half hour, we have observed multiple meteors streak across the sky. No doubt people outside now are seeing many shooting stars. Our current hypothesis is that this flash was caused by a large fragment entering the atmosphere and burning up. We will keep you updated as the situation progresses." The screen moved back to the anchor. He continued the report. "What was this flash? Most people now think that a large meteor entered our atmosphere. However, we have interviewed several people who report that a UFO is the true cause of the explosion. I'll now take you to...." Artemis shut off the TV. Amy shook her head. "My computer would pick up abnormalities in the air if a meteor did cause the flash. I think that the explosion occurred outside the atmosphere." "Perhaps the asteroid blew up outside the atmosphere" suggested Mina. "What would cause a space rock to do that?" asked Luna "I don't know" said Amy. "Asteroid collisions are quite rare, and I don't believe that one would cause such a defined flash of light." "What could it have been?" asked Mina to nobody. Captain's log: Supplemental. Repairs to the Enterprise are progressing normally. After establishing communication throughout the ship, it has been discovered that life support is normal, except on deck twelve. My crew seems to be in good shape, and there were few causalities. Commander Data appears to be functioning normally again after his positronic net was disrupted by the anomaly. However these problems are the least of our concerns. Our scans of the planet below us revealed that while we are orbiting Earth, it is not our Earth. Our first hypothesis was that we had traveled through time back to the age of radio and television, but after monitoring the local frequencies, we have discovered some 'abnormalities.' It is possible that we have entered another quantum reality, but another, most disturbing possibility, is the fear of Borg interference. We do not have our long range sensors active yet, so the Borg could be anywhere, even right behind the planet. Picard finished his log entry and leaned back in his command chair. He was tired of time travel, and the Borg. His ship just saved Zefram Cochrane and Earth from the Borg. Here he was, doing it again. No rest for the weary, he thought. "I'll be in my ready room if anybody needs me, number one." Picard stood, and left the bridge. Riker took over the command chair. The ship has been on yellow alert ever since the explosion, and every station needed filling. A week has passed since their transportation to this world, and already they had to dodge several satellites. The Borg concentrated on regeneration. The anomaly caused the loss of the cube, but the inner sphere survived. Sensors detected several ships on the other side of the planet. We will repair our damage and proceed to assimilate this planet, they thought. Sensors indicated that the Borg have been displaced in the universe. Star Fleet did not exist. This, however was irrelevant. Humanity was here for assimilation. The Borg will improve themselves. However, they would need to proceed with caution, because this was an unfamiliar reality. We will analyze this planet's defensive capabilities, and proceed with our plans. Contact with other Borg in this universe has been inconclusive. The collective did not seem to exist here, or it was out of range. That however, was irrelevant. The Borg will create a new collective in this universe with a center on this planet. Scouts are being planned for the purpose of study. Transportation will begin once repairs are complete. Resistance is futile.
