TRUST ME by Aeris -> aeris03@hotmail.com Well, hi once again to all of you out there, reading my fanfic. Well, I'm really thankful for the mail you sent me. And I am absolutely thankful that you liked "Snow White Serenity." Do you think I should write more of those twisted fairy tales? Do you think I should put the senshi there, or should these be confined to only Mamo and Usagi? Tell me, tell me! I really need to know. I might get inspired enough to pass one of those before I even finish this one. Anyway, in this chapter, the Starlights would appear. I said that earlier so you wouldn't be THAT surprised. Anyway, I'll use the Japanese names for them 'coz I have absolutely no idea what their dubbed ones are. At least, with Yaten and Taiki. I know that Seiya's is Sean, but what about the other two? I looked up names for them in a Baby Name Book and found a few for Taiki but good names beginning in Y are SO hard to find. I got only one: Ysaac. And I don't even like it that much. Either way, I haven't got that much to say, except for thanks to all the people I've also mentioned in TRUST ME: ONE, so read on! *********************************************************************** TWO *********************************************************************** A teenage girl carrying two particularly heavy bags trudged her way out of the airport. Finally reaching open space, she dropped her luggage, took a deep breath, and sighed, "At last, fresh air!" Then she reflected, "Boy, was that SOME trip! I thought that finding that girl was hard. I now realize that actually trying to FACE her is a REAL challenge." A free taxi caught her eye. "Oh," she cried out. She started jumping up and down, waving her hands. "Taxi, taxi!" However, the vehicle went past her, and she was dismayed. "DAMN!" "Hey," an unfamiliar rugged voice shouted at her. "You gettin' in o' what?" The girl looked down the low flight of stairs leading to the sidewalk to see a run-down, battered vehicle she's afraid to call a car. What more of a taxi? "Oh," she said lamely. "What the heck." "Yeah, yeah," she shouted back. "I'm getting in. Just help me with these, would you?" The taxi driver went out of the car to help her get her things into the trunk, which took quite a while. After (finally) getting the bags into the vast back of the car, she jumped into the back seat, slightly panting. The driver also got in and asked, "Where to, young girl?" Mina Aino slammed the ugly, creaking door shut, almost having it come off. "Hollywood." Serena Tsukino looked out the window. A pretty nice view of Hollywood can be seen, yet Serena can see nothing. Her face was in the direction of Moonlight Theater, but her mind was on something else. She was thinking of her new life, and the lot of people she's met for the ten months she'd been a star. It was the middle of April, a month of spring, and surprises were really springing around. Two months... Only two months are left before her birthday and she just couldn't imagine the celebration that would take place. All she sees when tries to is a scenery from somewhere else, of some other time. She sees people from her 'old' life in a simple setting... It was a little party in her house, with all of them there: Her dad, her mom, Sammy, Amy, Raye, Lita, Mina and Darien... And then there's a cake surrounded by other meals on the table, such as spaghetti with meatballs... Just a pretty small yet thoroughly enjoying festivity. That's how her birthday was celebrated all throughout her life. How's is going to be with her new friends and family? Will it be just as simple, or grand? Will it just be Teresa and her, or with the cast of her show? And the question she fears most: do they even KNOW that her birthday is near? Serena's train of thoughts was interrupted by a knock at her door. "Bunny," a familiar male voice called out. "You there?" Serena's face snapped to the direction of her door. "Seiya?" She met Seiya Kou during her first ever show, in Cinderella. He turned out to be the 'hotshot' Teresa was referring to. And he really was, Serena noted. It was a wonder that Serena doesn't know him, or his brothers, at all. Seiya had two other brothers: Yaten and Taiki. They make up a band, called the Three Lights, and they were a real hit in all of the world. They were in demand, and have appeared in over a hundred concerts. (Aeris: Do I have to describe them? I guess not. You know who they are.) Seiya was recruited for the play, and took the role of Prince Charming while Serena portrayed Cinderella. It grabbed a lot of attention, and from there Serena became popular, as an actress and singer. They had lots of fun together, but they were never more than friends. Although they both knew of Seiya's feelings... Serena had also appeared in some of the Three Light's concert, and became successful at being a singer, too, but became more popular as an actress. Sometimes the Lights would appear at her shows, and the production gave the audience an impression of a relationship between Seiya and Serena... Amy opened the door to see Lita smiling, carrying a knapsack. "Hey," Lita greeted. "Hey," Raye replied, never glancing up from Amy's television. "And hello," Amy said, taking Lita's bag and placing it on her extra closet space. "Get in." Lita slumped down beside Raye on the floor. "So," she began. "How's Reenie's going." "Gone?" Raye replied, her eyes still fixed upon the TV screen. "I mean, don't you get it?" "I do, okay?" Lita snapped. "I was just wondering if she can still take it." "She's okay," Amy cut in. She sighed exasperatedly. Can't any of you survive a day without a fight? It's getting so arduous." "We aren't fighting," Raye said, momentarily glaring at Lita. "Just arguing." "Yeah, right," Amy smirked. "Anyway... The reason we're here..." she prompted. "What?" Lita asked. Amy wearily stared at Lita with inquiring eyes. Finally, Lita got it. "Oh." "So," Amy continued. "I think that all we can do is follow Serena and go where they all are." "But that's gonna take some time, since we don't have passports," Lita protested. "Exactly in time for Serena's birthday," Amy replied. "And that's just right for what I have in mind." "You have a plan!" Lita exclaimed. "Of course." Amy opened the closet. "I'm gonna fix the bed." "Good idea," Lita agreed. "Hey guys," Raye suddenly spoke up. "Look at this," she pointed to a figure on television. "Where?" Lita asked. "There," Raye pointed once more. Lita squinted hard at the screen. "Okay, she's petite, blond, blue-eyed... What about her?" "Don't you see?" Raye exclaimed. "It's Serena!" "Oh... What?" Lita burst out. "Serena? But what the heck - " "I know," Raye said. "But it's her." Lita continued to stare at the television. "Hey, who's that guy?" "Who?" Raye examined the figures. Lita ignored her and called Amy. "Hey, Ames? Do you know anyone tall that Serena dates with black hair?" "Where? Where?" Raye scanned the screen frantically. Amy laughed softly. "I think you just described Darien." "No," Lita shook her head. "This guy's different. He... He's got a ponytail." "Oh, him," Raye spotted the man Lita was talking about. "Hmmm," Amy murmured, sitting on the bed. "And guess what?" Lita cried out, stars in her eyes. "He looks EXACTLY like my old boyfriend!" Darien was in LA. He stayed in a hotel, and had just arrived the day earlier. He set out at once to gather information of 'Bunny Thompson'. He soon found out that she was working for Moonlight Productions. Just today did he acquire the number to the company. It was in his hands and was written in a torn notebook paper. Somehow, in some ways, it felt so delicate, so precious, and so evil, all at the same time. He can't explain it all. He sat on a chair, staring at it for a long time, until he realized that much time has been wasted. He gathered up his senses in one deep breath. Then he sighed. "Well, it's all or nothing." Darien reached for the phone and dialed up the number. He did it with much care that he might not be wasting time. It took him months to get here, and such time consumed almost all his hopes of reuniting with his one true beloved. A series of rings were heard. Finally, his call was answered. "Hello, Moonlight Productions. This is Louise. How may I help you?" Suddenly, he was in loss of words. All of it were stuck in his throat, and found no way to escape and do their duty. Louise was obviously offended. "Well, if you have no other better things to do in life than bug innocent people doing their responsibilities, then you better be dead." Then she hung up. Darien stared at the receiver. Then he sighed. "Stupidity," he cursed himself. But still, he thought, I can't just waste my time moping around. I have to move. To try. To get her back. That sudden boost of inspiration gave Darien the courage to once more dial the blasted number. Again, he heard the boisterous voice of Louise, who acted as if nothing happened. Must have been part of professionalism, he thought. "Uh... hi?" he said unceratinly. "May I - May I speak to Sere - I mean, to Bunny Thompson?" "May I know who's on the line?" she asked. "You MUST understand that Ms. Thompson is SO meticulous about these calls." Darien's throat run dry. "I - I'm Andrew Furuhata, her childhood friend..." Andrew, forgive me, he pleaded silently. "Oh, I see. Wait a second," Louise said and held the line. A minute later, Serena was on. "Hello," Serena said. "Andrew, is that really you? How did you know that I - Man, you really surprise me..." Darien almost laughed as she heard Serena babbling on and on. She never changed, he thought. She's still the same cheerful person, even though she famous now. " - I am really amazed, y'know, you finding out where I am and what my name is... Hey, how DID you exactly know all these things, huh Andrew? How?" Darien almost gasped. He is DEAD meat. *********************************************************************** So, how was it? It's not as long as the first part, but I have been having some troubles in writing down my ideas, but hey, what can I do? I'm just a poor fan. I'm not a real writer. If I am, then maybe I could have been famous right now you surely would have heard of me outside the confined world of the Internet. Yeah, I may be a little exaggerated there but... >sigh< Let's just get this over with!
