The girl was painfully naive, but he could easily remedy that. Soon her preparation would be complete and the Sailor Scouts eliminated at last. As he slid his hands down her arms with deliberate slowness, Rubeus noticed the young girl trembled. "Anything wrong, my dear?" he inquired. "I'm worried," she murmured hesitantly after a moment. Her eyes avoided his, fixing her gaze on some invisible point. "Whatever for?" Rubeus scoffed incredulously. "Your skills are nearly flawless. The Scouts will hardly know what hit them." He could almost taste this long awaited victory over his enemies--his hatred for them ran deep. Too many times had he failed in his assignment, and his superiors were growing impatient. But soon the child, who he so 'fondly' called "the rabbit," would be in his possession. Only then he could return to the future. The inexperienced prot駩 turned to face her mentor-- her eyes were cold and blank. "But what if they're too powerful for me?" "Impossible," Rubeus assured her. "Besides, I'll be there should you need help." He doubted she would be in need of his assistance--she was strong, and he had immense confidence in her ability to execute (if you'll pardon the pun) her duties. "You'll be there with me?" the young woman remarked, obviously surprised. "Of course, my dear," Rubeus told her with a smirk. "I wouldn't let my valued apprentice get herself hurt on her first assignment." He was a good liar--he could care less about her safety. Her loyalty to him was his main concern and sole purpose for accompanying her on this mission. He had already lost Catsy and Berti to the Scouts-- he didn't plan on loosing anyone else. A smile playing on her youthful lips, the girl spoke boldly to her mentor. "I'll win this battle, Rubeus-- for you." "Yes, you will, little one," Rubeus spoke, eyeing her beauty slyly. "And when you do, you will be greatly rewarded." Lowering his face to hers, Rubeus took her in a powerful and possessive kiss. After all--he always did get what he wanted. Putting her delicate arms around him and closing her eyes, Serena kissed Rubeus back wholeheartedly. ---------------------------------------------------- Send comments to bunny80@webtv.net Visit my new homepage at: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Teahouse/4986/
