 Loneliness, coldness,emptiness..that is what she felt. She couldn't feel any thing anymore. 
No happiness, no joy, not anymore. Not ever..not since he broke up with her, broken her heart, 
her joy with just 4 words that is all that took to break everything inside her. 
 *flashback*
"I don't love you!"
"You can't mean that, can you?"
"I mean it!"
 *End flashback*
 That was all it took to break her heart. Making her like this..poor Serena. She was huddled
in the corner of her bedroom on her bed. Looking out of the window sill, looking at the 
sunshine, the blue sky, the birds singing.
 *How can everything be alright? After everything that has happened?*thought Serena in her 
head as she looked out. 
 *Ha! Those people! Can't they see that they shouldn't even be outside? It's just a waste of 
time!* thought Serena scoffing at the people down on the street.
 *knock* *knock*
 "Serena? It's the girls down stairs don't you want to talk to them?" asked her mother, as 
she knocked on the door.
 Serena looked at her door and sighed.
 "Tell them that I'll meet them at the arcade, mom! I'll be there after a couple of hours!" 
called out Serena.
 "Okay! I'm happy that you finally descided to come out of that room! It's Sunday! You should 
spend it outside in the nice warm sun!" replied a happy mother.
 "Yes mom!" said Serena sarcastically.
 *sigh* 
 "Why wont everyone just leave me alone?"asked Serena to herself and looked outside again.
 As she turned her head she saw a picture of her and Darien at the park. 
 *So happy that day..why did you break up with me Darien? We were so happy...*
 *It's over Serena..it's over.*
 "No! It can't be over! I know he still cares for me!*
 *It's over! Get over it!*
 *NO!*
 "He still cares for me!*
 *Then why did he say those words? I don't love you?*
 *NO! He...he was just...in a bad mood!*
 *You don't deserve that kind of guy do you?*
 *....*
*Do you?*
*..I ....I don't..do I?*
 *Yes...you should get someone better..someone who really loves you..*
*Who?*
 *Just wait Serena..just wait and see..*
*Yes..I will wait*
*For now...just act like yourself..*
*Myself?*
*Your real true self Serena. The one you have hidden inside of you thorughout these years*
*You're right..*
With that Serena got out of her bed and got ready to go outside. She brushed her teeth, 
took a nice long bath, combed her hair, and then wore  blue shorts and a white tank top.
She then looked at herself in the mirror.
 "It's time for a change....a new me!" said a smiling smile, but it wasn't her original 
I'm-so-happy smile that would make you feel better like the normal Serena. It was more of a 
I'm just smiling kind of smile. Her eyes weren't as bright and happy with a carefree attitude.
It was just...normal..it seemed sad and lonely inside of it but not as dull as before. Her hair
was bright and golden but it wasn't the same goddess-like hair that made you so envious of them
anymore. It seemed..different somehow...just different. The normal Serena 
isn't the same anymore..she was a a whole new person now..a whole new person.
"Now what to do with this hair?" thought Serena outloud looking at her shiny, golden hair.
 Serena brushed it some more and did various styles  with it and ended up with a braided and 
looped hair. 
She tied it in a pony tail and put it through the hole and then braided it again. 
 "There! That looks okay I suppose," said Serena looking at herself on the
mirror,"well I should go now."
 Then Serena went downstairs and put her shoes on and then left.
 "Ja ne mama!" waved Serena as she went through the door.

"Poor Serena..what are we going to do you guys? Do you think she's coming?" asked a 
worried Mina.
 "I think she'll be okay and she should be here soon...unless she forgot with all the moping 
around she does!" replied Raye.
 "Don't be so mean Raye!" argued Lita.
 "Shh..there she is!" whispered Amy quieting them down as she put down the Calculus book 
she was reading.
 As Serena went through the arcade doors Andrew saw her and greeted her to come over.
 "Hey Serena! How are you doing?" asked Andrew.
 "Fine thank you!" greeted Serena trying her best not to be sad.
 "Nice hair style! Are you okay? You don't seem to be the same anymore..." told Andrew.
 "I'm fine and thank you again! See look I'm smiling!" assured Serena smiling a big nice smile.
 "Mmm..alright if you say so. If you have any problems at all you can always come to me!" 
assured Andrew patting her shoulder.
 "Serena! Nice do!" greeted Mina coming over.
 "Thanks where are the others?" asked Serena.
 "Over there! Come on!" told Mina escorting her over to the table.
 "Ja ne Andrew!" told Serena as she went with Mina.
 "Bye ja ne!" waved Andrew and continued on serving the costumers.
 "Hey Serena! So are you okay?" asked Lita.
 "I'm fine you guys! Really! I'm completely over him!" assured Serena.
 "Alright if you say so...." said Raye not quite believing her.
 "Nice hair style Serena!" complimented Amy.
 "Thanks!"
 "Why'd you change it? It's suppose to be the odangos remember? It's your royal hair 
style!" told Mina whispering to her.
 "I just thought..I should change it...." replied Serena looking at the table.
 "So you can forget about Darien...?" answered Mina.
 "NO!" denied Serena.
 "Really Serena?" asked Raye.
 "Of course!" said Serena.
 "If you're over Darien why did you bother changing it? It would remind you of him isn't
 it?" asked Lita.
 "No! I just thought it was time to change it.."
 "But it's part of your royal blood!"
 "You're right.....okay..you're right it reminds me of him...but I am over him and this 
helps it..." whispered Serena tracing circles on the table.
 "If you're over him prove it.." told Lita.
 "Fine I will if that makes you guys better!" told Serena.
 "Good! So go over to Darien and tell him you don't love him anymore! Straight in 
the eye!" said Raye.
 "All right I will, once he's here!" told Serena confidentaly
 "Okay he's over there talking to Andrew right now! He just came in!" replied Raye smiling.
 "What?!?!?" gasped a shocked Serena looking over at Darien who sat on the stool talking 
to Andrew.
 "When did he come in?" asked Mina looking as well.
 "About the time when Serena said that her new style helps her get over him," replied Amy 
as she turned the page on her Calculus book.
 "oh..Oh Amy! Put that down! We're trying to help Serena not study! "replied Lita as 
she took the book off Amy's hands.
 "Give me that!" said Amy reaching for the book but Lita put it out of her grasp.
 "I thought you guys were helping me!" complained Serena as she looked at them without any 
expression on her face but only on her voice.
 "Go over there now Serena, I thought you said that you were over him! So go!" ushered Raye.
 "Alright then! I will!" a confident Serena said.
 "Go girl!" cheered Mina.
 Serena stood up and took a deep breath then exhaled as she got closer to Darien.
 *Remember Serena you're over him! Show him the new and improved you!* thought Serena 
to herself.
 *You're over him! He doesn't deseve you! He just broke your heart when you saved his life and 
when you brought his memories back!*
  *Right! He doesn't deseve me at all! After all this time! He just broke my heart!*
 Once she got to the counter where Darien was chatting with Andrew, Andrew noticed.
 "Hey Serena!" greeted Andrew.
 Darien turned his head and was wide-eyed at her new hair style.
 "Hey Andrew, how is it going so far?" asked Serena smiling like nothing was wrong but deep 
inside she was scared, very, very scared.
 "Nothing much! I thought that you would be jumping on Darien right now?!? What's wrong?" asked 
Andrew looking at the two of them.
 "You mean no one told you?" asked Serena calmly.
 "Told me what?" asked Andrew looking at them blankly.
 "I thought you would tell him Darien?" asked Serena as she stared at him showing no emotion at 
all of love or anything. Just a questioning glance.
 "...uhmm..no I didn't tell him at all.." told Darien shifting on his seat.
 "Oh...well I might as well tell him them," replied Serena looking at Andrew now.
 "Tell me what?" asked Andrew frustrated.
 "That we broke up," replied Serena calmly. 
 Darien and Andrew were wide-eyed! Darien was wide-eyed because she didn't cry or anything 
throught all of this! While Andrew was wide-eyed from the news that has just reached him.
 "What?!?!?!? You two broke up! Why? How? When? Where? How? why? Mostly WHY?!?!?"s creamed a 
distressed Andrew  who was walking back and forth mumbling and throwing his hands around 
the air.
 "Calm down Andrew," cooed a calm Serena who seemed more mature now, her eyes so calm and
 peaceful.
 "All right...I'll just try..to...breathe in and out..breath in and out..." chanted Andrew.
 Darien was just shocked and placed on his seat by all of this.
 "Okay..I'm calm now..so why did you two break up?" asked Andrew looking at them both.
 "Well..I'm not sure..Darien just said that he wants to break up," explained Serena with no 
hint of sadness or anything like that in her voice.
 "Well Darien why? WHY? "asked Andrew.
 "Uhmm...I just..don't feel the same way with her...." explained Darien shifting on his seat
 again.
 "I suppose you're right Darien..and I guess that means that since we're through..I can 
date anyone now right? Since I "don't love you" anymore?" asked Serena looking at him and 
then at the girls who were watching this scene intently.
 "Uhmm...yea..I guess if you're looking forward to dating again..but isn't that rushing it?
I mean we just broke up on Friday!" replied Darien gazing at her in bewilderment.
 "Isn't that rushing it, Serena?" asked Andrew looking at her shocked.
 "Oh you meant the dating thing..well...I'm not dating yet..but I am thinking of moving on..I
 mean I already got over Darien so I may as well date soon right?" stated Serena.
 "Already?!?!" a shocked Andrew said.
 "Yup! Well I should get to the girls now! Ja ne!" said Serena walking over back to the booth, 
leaving to shocked guys behind her.
 "See! I told you I got over him now!" said a confident Serena.
 "hmm...I guess.." sighed Raye.
 "Well I should get going now! Mom is expecting me home around now!" said Serena standing up.
 "Good-bye!"said the girls in unison.
 "Bye!"replied Serena waving to them and leaving.

 Once Serena got home she went up to her room and locked it. She took of her hair style and 
got into bed with tears in her eyes.
 *sobbing* "......*sniff*..Why...*sob*...why?..*sob* Did I say that? *sob*...why?!!?*cries 
harder*" sobbed and cried a mournful Serena.
 Throughout the day Serena stayed in her room not eating at all. Luckily she fell asleep 
from crying so much and dreamed of the days she and Darien were together in the past.

"Oh Serena....I still love you..I really do..I know that someday we can be together 
again..when you are safe once more.." whispered Darien as he stared up to her room from the 
ground.
 Then he walked off toward his home, alone. Then he stopped and looked back.
"Someday Serena whe you're safe..I'll win you back but till now.....it has to be this way..
without getting to hold you or touch you....gomen nasai, aishiteru Serena. Aishiteru." then
he continued on home.
