The Pursuit of Time: Seetsuna Revealed

story....................

 A couple of days later, at the gates, Setsuna was walking along the
Time Corridor and thinking about Carlyle and his words that night at the
restaurant. <Is the timestream Really that important to you? Is that All
you care about?> Carlyle had questioned.   Echoing her words of that
night, Setsuna cried aloud, "Yes it is!  It's All it can be for me. It's
All it must be for me." Hearing herself cry aloud startled Setsuna.
Stll pondering Carlyle's words, Setsuna continued her walk along the
Corridor.  She also continued to turn the question of duty/happiness in
her mind like a puzzle that needed to be solved.

Meanwhile, back in the past,  Kevin had just returned home from a fun
outing with the Scouts and the other Knights. It was a get-to-know-
you-better type of thing.  Darian had volunteered to walk him home, and
Kevin had invited Darian in for a moment.
 " So Kevin, You and Setsuna still aren't together?' Darian asked
curiously.
 "No we aren't . I want to be with her, but she said that the Time
Stream is more important to her than I am.  While I *CAN* understand her
wariness, it doesn't change how I feel about her." Kevin said
frustratedly.
 " Well I hope that it works out for you two. She always seems so
lonely. I'd like to see the two of you together. Darian commented.
 "I would too Darian.  I would too."Kevin said sadly and vehemently.
 "Listen I'm so sorry, but I have to go. I'm supposed to meet Serena's
family for dinner tonight." Darian said apologetically.  Kevin smiled
and wished Darian the best of luck with his girlfriend's family.
 "Bye Kevin,"Darian called over his shoulder as he walked out the door.
" Bye Darian.  See you tomorrow,"Kevin called back.
         After Darian left, Kevin thought to himself <Oh Setsuna, Will I
Ever win you? Why must you keep me at bay?>  He shook his head, as if to
clear it, but recieved no relief. Thinking aloud, He asked.:  Why does
Setsuna think more of duty and not so much of happiness?" Finding  no
answers in the air. Kevin sighed forlornly.
