Title: Christmas Magic Chapter 4 Author: Azn Angel Email: sakura_angel@excite.com Rated: PG Merry Christmas, everyone! I am SOOO excited for Christmas! Hee hee! *jumps up and down* I'm so happy! My inbox just hit 300 messages! Yay! Thankies, all of you who emailed me! Disclaimer: Oh, come on, just this ONCE?! PLEASE?! Purty please with candy canes on top? No? Oh, phooey. Well, I... I... *scuffs foot* Oh, I can't say it! Fine, fine, I don't own Sailor Moon. T_T ~*~*~*~* We stared at the almost flat tree as Mako ranted angrily under her breath. "Must... refrain... from... killing..." We all jumped away from the steaming Makoto. "Uh, Mako-chan?" I asked timidly in my best "I-didn't-do-anything-I'm-innocent!" voice. "Are you OK?" I practically heard Mako counting to ten silently in her head. Her face began to return to its normal color. "I'm OK." she finally replied. "Good." I said,, relieved. "So, let's start on that tree, eh?" Mako's eyes widened. "Oh NO! You guys aren't going NEAR my tree!" She stepped over in front of it, gaurding it perhaps? But from who? Us? *eyes become big and innocent* "Oh, come ON, Mako!" Minako protested. "Decorating your tree is something you SHOULD do with your friends!" "Oh?" Mako crossed her arms. "Then tell me, minna, would you have all of us at your house decorating YOUR Christmas tree?" she asked all of us. Silence. (AN: *sings* Silent night... Holy night...) "Thought so." She turned away. Minako grabbed onto her arm. "Oh, ONEGAI, Mako-chan?" Mako gave her a strange look, and shook her off. "Iie." Minako grasped her arm once more. "Oh, PRETTY PLEASE?!" Mako sighed, and shrugged her off. "OK, OK." "YAY!" Minako did a little victory dance. "Demo, you have to be VERY careful!" she warned. "Yeah, yeah." Minako said. "Let's get to work! It's already 10:16!" she exclaimed, glancing at Mako's clock. "OK!" Mako said, clapping her hands. "Let's get Usagi and Minako in charge of making and stringing some popcorn, Ami in charge of decorations, and Rei in charge of the tinsel and everything else in this house like wreaths." "What will you be doing?" I questioned. She gave me a big grin and a "V for victory!" sign. "Why, I'll be making gingerbread cookies and eggnog, of course!" Then she headed for her kitchen, grabbing an apron along the way, humming "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" quietly to herself. I smiled to myself, and joined her, following Minako. We entered the humongous kitchen, and a muffled Mako said from her cabinet, "The popcorn is in the closet thing right next to the fridge." I looked in the closet, finding treats like Pocky (AN: Shini-chan and Azn Angel: P-O-C-K-Y! P-O-C-K-Y! P-O-C-K-Y! The greatest Asian snack food!) and Yan Yan and Pretz... (AN: These are Asian snacks found in Asian groceries.) Oooh, I think I'm drooling. (AN: Shini-chan: May we get a mop in aisle four, please?) But, I reluctantly tore myself away from the delectable snacks, forcing myself to find the popcorn. "I've got it!" I cried, spotting it. I grabbed a pack. "Heat it for three minutes!" Muffled Mako said. I unwrapped it from the plastic, and folded it out. I stuck it into the microwave, and pushed three minutes. I looked away from the microwave (AN: Whoa... it spins...) and found Minako... pigging out on the snacks I had earlier seen. "Minako!" I cried. She looked at me, her mouth stuffed with Pretz. (AN: MY PRETZ! MINE!) I shook my head. "You are one sad girl." I said, placing my hands on my hips. Minako blinked, and swallowed, giving me a cheery smile. "I know!" Then she went back to stuffing herself. "Ay..." I said lowly, sweatdropping. "Yeesh..." BEEP! The popcorn was ready. I clicked open the microwave, and took out the hot bag, making sure not to burn myself. "Come on, Minako," I said to the pig. "Let's start stringing the popcorn." She came out of the closet, with a surprisingly clean mouth. "OK." "Mako!" I called to the brunette who was stirring something. "Where's the string?" "Right here." She tossed me a roll of white string, and Minako and I went back to where Rei and Ami were, and went to work. We strung a few, ate a few, strung a few, ate a few. Then Rei finally jumped up and said, "I can't stand listening to your chewing and munching!" She produced a CD called "Christmas Carols" and put it in Mako's CD player. After a few whirs, it began. "Dashing through the snow, in a one horse open sleigh." It sang. "O'er the hills we go, laughing all the way, ha ha ha!" we all sang along. The carols made Minako and I stop eating to sing the carols, so the was a considerable amount of popcorn left when we finished. (Which only took about half an hour, a record for me!) "It's the most wonderful time of the year!" Minako warbled, grabbing the bowl of leftover popcorn and plopping down on the sofa. I, for one, did not want to be a lazy bum, so I helped Ami with the rest of the decorations. "With the kids jingle belling and everyone telling you be of good cheer!" Ami and I sang cheerily as I hung a shiny red glass ball on a bough. "It's the most wonderful time of the year!" Rei sang out from the hall, where she was hanging mistletoe above the doorway. "It's the happ- happiest season of all!" we heard Mako from the kitchen sing. "With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings when friends come to call!" Minako sang. "It's the happ- happiest season of all!" everyone caroled. Rei jumped from the hallway and into the living room in front of us, with a candle in her hand, held as if it were a microphone. "There'll be parties for hosting, marshmallows for toasting, and caroling out in the snow. There'll be scary ghost stories, and tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago, long ago!" She took a bow as we clapped. "It's the most wonderful time of the year!" Mako sang from the kitchen. (Where, may I add, some very delicious smells were coming from!) "There'll be much mistletoeing, and hearts will be glowing when loved ones are near!" I tuned. "It's the most wonderful time..." Ami sang next to me. "It's the most wonderful time..." Minako sang from her comfy spot on the sofa. "It's the most wonderful time..." Rei vocalized. (AN: A vocab word. Mmm. Heh heh. ^_^;) "OF THE YEAR!" we all finished, then burst into giggles. Rei called, "OK, that's it, no more singing along!" (AN: THANK YOU, Rei! My fic was beginning to become a musical! *gasp*) A few whines were heard, mainly from Minako and I, but we obliged obediantly. "Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, and since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!" the CD played. Ami gently put the bright star on top of the tree, while I finished with the last of the popcorn string. "There!" I declared. Ami and I stepped back to admire our work. "I like it!" Minako said. "So do I." Ami agreed. "It's so pretty!" I cried. "Demo, it will be even better once I..." I plugged in the lights. The white lights burst to life, which gave a glow to the tree and the room. "Whoa..." Rei breathed. Mako came in wearing her apron. "Oooh!" she squealed. "I LOVE it! Arigatou, minna!" She was admiring the beauty of the tree, and the room. The room was filled with candles, which gave a scent of vanilla, peppermint, and evergreen to the place. There were boughs of holly strung all around the room, giving it a neat look. A few fake icicles hung from the ceiling, but Ami had given it a frosty look, making them appear real. A couple of glittery, ice crystal snowflakes also hung from the ceiling. "It's so beautiful!" Mako clasped her hands together. Her eyes were glassy. "Thank you so much, minna." "Domo!" I cried, hugging her. "Group hug!" Minako exclaimed. Rei, Minako, and Ami joined us. Ami laughed. "Gee, if I ever need assistance in decorating my apartment for the holidays-" "Just call us!" Minako and I said. (AN: Call 1-800-I-DECOR-8! ...No, no, not for real! ^_^;) ~*~*~*~* Ah, yes, again, no cliffhanger. I think I'm going in withdrawl. Are you happy, minna? No cliffhanger for 3 chapters in a row! I'm so ashamed! A short chapter. Sorry, minna! ^_^; Email me! ~*~Azn Angel~*~ 100% Azn 90 % Angel
