Title: Christmas Magic Chapter 5 Author: Azn Angel Email: sakura_angel@excite.com Rated: PG I'm on a roll! 3 chapters in one week! Yeah! I rock! Ahem, yeah, anyways... Thankies for the emails, especially the ones that made me laugh! Please keep 'em coming! Disclaimer: I don't own Sailor Moon, but I'd be glad to trade for this very special and cute teddy bear. (AN: NO, Achika, Shini, and Bran, not THAT Teddy Bear!) No? Oh, fine, then, see if I care! *goes off into little corner* ~*~*~*~* "Mhmm..." I mumbled. "Wake up, Odango!" I heard Rei yell. I tried to pry my eyes open. Instead, they were kind of squinted. "Yeah, Rei? What do you want?" I asked drowsily. "What do I want?! It's eleven in the morning, and you and Minako are still asleep!" "Only eleven?" Minako grumbled. "ONLY?!" Rei shrieked. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding." Minako laughed. She got up. I forced myself to get up also. I stretched. "Mmm... Need... breakfast..." Rei rolled her eyes. "Get dressed. Mako's cooking some stuff for us." She spun away. "Well, looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the sleeping bag!" Minako stood. "Come on, Usagi-chan, you heard her." As you can tell, it was morning. We had stayed up until three in the morning, munching on snacks Mako had made, and gossiping. I was tired! "Yeah, yeah." I rose from my comfy, warm bed. "I better get dressed. I look like Medusa!" I remarked when I saw myself in the mirror. Minako and I both got dressed and washed up. I entered the kitchen with a yawn, dressed in a long sleeved light blue shirt, and a pair of comfortable khaki jeans. "Ohayo." I said as I sat down between Ami and Minako, who was ready before me. "Ohayo." chorused Rei, Ami, Minako, and Makoto, who was at the stove. "What's for breakfast?" I asked brightly. "Odangos and rice." Mako answered. (AN: Remember, this is Japan.) "Yum!" ~*~*~*~* After breakfast, we took a stroll in the park. It had snowed during the night and we wanted to enjoy it. "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!" I sang happily. POOF! Something small, soft, and cold hit me in the back. I reached up to feel snow. I turned around, and found Rei giving me a mischevious grin. "This means war!" I called, and quickly made a snowball. I hurled it in her direction. It hit... Ami. "HEY!" she cried, and dusted of her sleeve. She formed a snowball in her hands, and threw it at me. It hit... Minako. "Nani?!" she exclaimed. She created a fast snowball (AN: Speedy Snowballs! Get your Speedy Snowballs here!) and aimed at Ami. It, of course, hit... Makoto. "SNOWBALL FIGHT!" Mako shouted. At that, snowballs were launched in the air. Dozens and dozens were flying, and I laughed as one went in my mouth. I flung one into the air. As I watched, it landed on someone's coat. That someone was Mamoru. "Hey!" he called. Movement ceased. He looked grumpy today. "Odango!" he yelled. "Watch it!" Then he made a snowball, and threw it at me. It hit me in the head. "Ow!" I cried. I pointed at him. "Aim for the guy!" A second later, Mamoru was being pelted by snowballs. I fell in the snow, doubling with laughter. "Ahhh!" He held up his hands to try and cover himself. It didn't work. "Matte!" "Iie!" I called to my friends from the ground. "Not until he says all of us are the best!" "NEVER!" he yelled. "FIRE!" Ami yelped, having the time of her life. Snowballs were thrown at him even faster. "OK, OK!" he shouted. "I give! You guys are the best!" I shook my head while standing up. "No, we're not GUYS!" "You GIRLS are the best!" "OK." I called to them. "You can stop now." "We don't want to!" Minako said, throwing a couple more snowballs. "NANI?!" Mamoru cried. "NO FAIR!" "Hey, that's out of my control." I said, watching him. 'He's so helpless!' I thought. 'Serves him right!' After a few more minutes, the snowballs finally stopped. He fell back on the ground, gasping for air. "Kami." was all he said. I walked over to him. "Heh heh." I chuckled evilly. He burst up, with an angry look. "You little-!" He didn't finsh, but tackled me to the ground. "AAHHH!" I yelled. He gave me a devious grin. "Revenge is sweet." He began to tickle me. "NOOO!" I giggled. "STOP! ONEGAI?!" I begged. "Not until you say that I'm a gorgeous hunk!" "Never in a million years!" I shouted. He tickled even more mercilessly. "Are you sure?" "Not in a million years, or a million years after that!" "Are you POSITIVE?" "OK, OK, you're a hunk!" "I'm a GORGEOUS hunk!" "You're a GORGEOUS hunk!" I yelled. "And don't you forget it!" He jumped off of me. I raised my head to find four gaping jaws. "Nani?" I asked my friends. They all shook their heads, as if to say, "Later." Mamoru began walking away. I turned in his direction. "YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!" I yelled at him, shaking a fist. He laughed. ~*~*~*~* The rest of the day, the girls and I basically hung out at the arcade. Ami was teaching me a Sailor V move, with Minako and Makoto watching, and Rei was sipping her hot cocoa. "Are you done yet, minna?" she asked. BOOM! "Ha! Got ya, youma!" I cried triumphantly. "My turn!" Minako called, and took my seat. Ami and I ordered a cup of cocoa, and joined Rei as Minako and Mako tried to pull the move Ami had taught me. "Sheesh, you guys are slow." Rei said as we sat down. "It was a hard move!" I defended. "It was rather difficult." Ami agreed. Rei just rolled her eyes. "Hey, Usagi," she said. "You do realize that Mamoru tackled you to the ground today?" "Duh." I said, bored. "So, what's your point?" "Do you realize how that looked to us?" My eyes widened. "You ecchi!" I accused, blushing. She giggled. I glanced at my watch. "Hey, I got to go. I need to do a little Christmas shopping before I go home. See you later." I waved, sipping the last of my cocoa. "Ja ne, Usagi-chan." Rei and Ami called to my retreating back. ~*~*~*~* I was in the middle of the worst holiday crowd ever. I was standing smack in the middle of Juuban Mall. People all around were in a rush, rush, rush! People bumped into me, but only a few apologized. It was such a busy day! I pulled out my Christmas list. Let's see, there's Ami. Check. I had gotten her a high tech calculator, a small bangle of turquoise bracelets, and a porcelain heart shaped keepsake case, which had two white teddy bears on it, a light pink rose, and was a blue tile pattern. (AN: Bran-chan, sound familiar?) Next on the list was Rei. Check. I had gotten her a beautiful black silk pouch. It looked like a purse, but it was much smaller. Inside the pouch I stuck a small panda statue, which was very kawaii! Makoto. Check. I got her a new apron that said "Kiss the Cook!" and a kawaii chef's hat to go with it. I knew she'd love it. And Minako. Check. For her I bought a gift set from her favorite store, Fragrances. It was her favorite scent, too, vanilla. It had bar of soap, a tube of spray, body lotion, and shower gel. Shingo. Check. I had gotten him the newest Sailor Moon game. (^_^) I recall him saying he wanted that. Ikuko-mama. Check. I had gotten her a gift set at Frangrances also. It was the same as Minako's, but the scent was lilac. She loved flowers. Kenji-papa. Check. I got him a snazzy looking tie, a striped blue and black one, with a glasses case and a brown leather wallet. (AN: Hey, I never know what to get men!) Motoki. Check. I had gotten him an apron like Mako's. He always wears that plain old white one, which is too boring for my taste. 'Hmm, I think that's all for now.' I thought as I plopped down on a bench, exhausted from fighting through the crowd. 'Ooh, my feet hurt.' "That's nice, Odango. Just don't point them at me." My eyes widened. I turned to the person who was sitting next to me... In a green jacket, and khaki pants. "Mamoru!" I gasped. His head lifted. "The one and only." "How did you know what I was thinking?!" He frowned. "What do you mean? You sat down, sighed, and said, 'My feet hurt.'" "Oh." I said, blushing embarrassedly. "I must have spoken outloud." He made a little sound of contempt. "Whatever. See you later, Odango." He stood up from the bench, clutching a couple of bags. "Oooh, what'd ya get?" I asked curiously. "None of your business, Odango." "Christmas presents?" I saw a bit of red ribbon. "Yes, Odango." He sighed. "Now I have to go through this deadly crowd again. Whoopee." "Did you get one for me?" I asked, ignoring his comment, then blushing. Why would he get me a gift anyways? "As a matter of fact, Odango, I did." "Really?" I asked, surprised and unsure. "Hai." He pulled something out. "In fact, I've even had it wrapped already." It was a small box, wrrapped in a paper with cute little bunnies all over it, with a pink background. It was tied with a thick gold ribbon. "Oooh, for me?!" I squealed. "Yeah, yeah." He handed it to me. I suddenly became suspicious. "Doushite?" "Nani? I can't give someone a gift?" "Oh, you can," I said. "But to me, iie." He laughed. I held it up to my ear. "What are you doing, Odango?" he asked me. "Making sure it isn't a bomb." was my reply. He laughed again. "Well, merry Christmas to you too, Odango. Ja ne." "Ja ne." As he disappeared into the offensive crowd, I looked at the box, and sighed. "One more person to give to." ~*~*~*~* I walked home in the chilly breeze, thinking of Mamoru's gift for me. Why had he given me a gift? We weren't exactly *cough* friends, so, why? I shivered, and huddled deeper in my jacket as a gust blew. Either way, I needed to get him a gift also. I didn't have much money on me, so I guess I would have to take another trip to the mall. I arrived home, and fumbled with my keys. Once I had gotten the door open, I stumbled into my warm home, shutting the door behind me. Shingo looked over to me from his reading spot, which was on the couch. He was reading Gundam manga. "Hey, Usagi, where were you?" I dropped my bags. "Oh," He nodded understandingly. "Christmas shopping." "YES!" I cried, falling next to him. "And I'm not even finished!" I groaned. He shrugged, and went back to his reading. I rested for a while, then trudged to my room. I was so tired. I put my bags in my closet, and changed into my PJ's. Then I fell onto my bed. "Good night, Usagi." Luna purred next to me. "'Night." I mumbled sleepily. ~*~*~*~* BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I forced my eyes open. 'No!' I thought. 'Not another one.' I begrudgingly clicked one the blinking green button. This communicator deprives me of my much needed sleep! "Moonie here." I said, yawning. "Sailor Moon!" Sailor Jupiter called. "Needed at the Juuban Mall!" "Gotcha." I clicked it off, and quickly whispered to Luna that I was leaving. "OK, Usagi." Luna replied drowsily. She snuggled back under the covers. 'Lucky cat.' I thought. I jumped out of my window, wishing that this youma would be an easy one. ~*~*~*~* My wish came true. After a quick scan with Mercury's computer, and an attack from me, the youma was quickly defeated. Of course, Tuxedo Kamen had to make an appearance when the youma was about to blast me into bits, and actually stayed behind to help. Whoa... Yeah, back on the subject. ^_^; Anywho, it was after the battle, and Tuxie was making his exit. Feeling more alert and even a little adventurous, I followed him. Ya know, just for the heck of it. ^_^ "Sailor Moon!" I heard the senshi call. I ignored them, being very quiet so he couldn't hear me. He took a couple of steps on branches, and jumped down. He skipped over a few buildings. I followed, a couple of buildings behind him. Finally he stopped, and looked around. I ducked into the shadows then. I was beginning to get very tired and breathless. Maybe I should turn back. Then, he took off his mask and hat. I gasped, and put a hand to my mouth. My breath caught. "Mamoru..." ~*~*~*~* BWAHAHAHAHA!
