This is a short poem from NeoQueen Serenity to Rini, after the end of the R
Series and before the beginning of the S series.  It is Serenity telling
Rini
to go back to the past to train to be a Sailor Scout.  I hope someone will
read it while the 16th new episode is still fresh on their mind. Oh, I loved
the song on that episode, hee hee.  Once again, I claim no rights at all to
Sailor Moon.  It belongs to Naoko Takeuchi.  Don't sue me, please oh please
oh
please.

For Momma

"Come over and look, darling," Momma said,
"You've taken away all of the fear and dread.
Look what you've done to our world, see?
You've replaced all the evil with harmony.
And now we can live without worry.

        "You saved the world, baby," Momma declared,
"You've changed our dreams to good from nightmares.
You've made the world better for you and me,
everything's growing, luscious and green.
And I'm thankful for that.

        Momma confessed, "I must admitt I had doubts,
when on your journey, you first set out,
but now I see what you can do,
everything's good again because of you.
And I love you more because of it."

        And Momma was right, all was good,
everything was back to normal, like it should,
and Rini and Mommy and Daddy were happy,
even though a bit sappy,
but they didn't care; they won.

        They partied for days, celebrating their joys,
giving gifts and sharing toys,
and all was peaceful for the time,
and everyone was still alive,
and they thanked the bunny for that.

        Things went back to normal gradually,
and no one was any longer sick and weakly,
and then Rini earned friends to play,
then sun-shiny were the days,
and Rini was happy.

        And months later, the scouts observed,
"A really good scout she would serve,
we've seen her fight; she's really strong.
Send her to the past where she belongs.
We'll train her well, we promise."

        Momma said, "No," with grace as Queen,
everything was back to normal it seemed,
there was no need to travel back,
she wanted her baby and that was that.
She didn't want Rini to go.

        But Daddy saw the logic it held,
and he tried to ring Momma's bell,
he told her of all the good that would come,
and slowly Momma crept from
her reason.

        So late at night, while in bed,
Daddy met Momma, and she said,
I've thought it over, king of mine,
and now I think I will decide.
Rini will go.

        Momma had laid awake hours pondering,
trying as queen to make the right choice and wondering,
if it was better for Rini to leave.
It was then a telepathic note she received.
And it was from her alter ego in the past.

        Serena cried from Crystal Tokyo's past,
"Please send dear Rini back,
everyone here misses her so,
I just thought you'd like to know.
Besides, there's new evils here and we need her help."

        Serena said, "I know you're her mother,
but don't forget, Sammy's like her brother,
and he's not even been the same
since little Rini went away.
Please send her here."

        So Mommy thought it over and,
her younger self deserved a hand,
there was logic in what Serena said,
so Mommy made her decision as she went to bed.
And then she told Daddy.

        And Daddy and Momma thought it out orderly,
And they called on Pluto and asked for the key,
and Mommy prepared a special surprise,
for her little 'pint-size'.
It was a transformational object.

        Momma didn't really want her to go,
she was awfully sad, don't you know,
and little Rini sensed the sadness,
but didn't notice from all the madness
that went on around her.

        Daddy decided there should be a feast,
in honor of how Rini would beat the beasts,
when she became a strong Sailor Scout.
You see, daddy had little doubt,
he believed in his baby.

        And then when all the preparations were made,
Daddy cut the ribbon of a feast with a small blade,
and everyone partied and ate until they were full,
then Momma went alone to mull.
Then she called for her darling.

        Momma was sad as sad can be,
but this was for the best, you see.
So Momma said, "Rini come over here,
and I want you to hide all  of your fears,
and be brave for me.

        Momma did say, in her ribbons and lace,
"Well, darling, you've really earned your place.
Everything's better, that's all I can say,
And you'll grow stronger as you train each day.
And I hope you'll appreciate this."

        Rini was confused, it was plain to the eye,
she didn't understand why Momma would cry
as she did now as she held Rini by her side,
and Rini hoped that all was right
because she loved her Momma and wanted to please her.

        "There are hard times ahead," she did say,
"and if I, darling, could have my way,
I'd never make you leave us again,
but our world is dominated by men.
And your father said you should go.

        Momma pulled her girl close, tears in her eyes,
"Even if all else is lost, you'll never die.
Because you have love, hope, and glory,
as you go and weave a new story.
So go on your way, little bunny.

        It was then that Rini began to understand
that she was going off to another land,
and her lower lip trembled in a pout,
then small tears trickled out.
She didn't want to go alone.

        "You won't ever be alone," Momma claimed,
and began to cry as outside it did rain.
The thunder outside made things seem worse,
it scared them both almost to the hearse.
Because they were afraid of storms.

        "I'm sending you back to the past," she cried,
"go on your way, keep your peace of mind,
and even if hope seems lost,
stay with who you trust, no matter the cost.
And remember I love you."

        Rini nodded through her tears,
and then she said, "Momma, dear,
I'm so afraid to go alone-"
but Momma pushed her aside and said, "No.
You have to be strong to survive, Little One."

        Momma gave her a brooch, "Keep this close to your heart,
Never with this, will you part.
It lets you transform into a scout,
yes, it does, that's what it's about.
So be brave, Little Moon."

        Bunny held the object in silence and wonder,
she starting mumbling in an accent from down under,
as she spoke of how good Serena's pendant was,
and it was rare and unique than others cuz
it held the silver Crystal.

        Before she left, Rini drew a pic,
she was good at art, I really think,
she gave the pic to her Mom,
and said, "Don't forget if I'm gone too long."
And then Rini started to cry.

        Momma bid her baby one last goodbye,
and then Rini used her key to fly,
off to the heavens, on to yesteryear
and then Rini hid her fear;
she was going to see her friends.

        And it was that fact alone that kept her alive,
on her way, when she wanted to die,
in her mind, she saw their faces,
and she remembered their places,
so she kept going on.

        She cried a little, she didn't want to go,
but how she missed her friends so.
She didn't want to go, yet she wanted to be with them,
so she did as her heart said.
She went on to the past.

        She flew in the colors to Luna P,
The scout of time, you know is she,
then Little Moon crossed the void,
you know it'd make front page of a tabloid,
to hear of someone traveling time.

        She called her Luna Sphere to come,
and then they traveled off as one,
flying on to Pluto's gate,
yet she arrived there very late,
so Pluto let her spend the night.

        Then in the morning, Pluto sent her off.
and in her mind, she heard Momma scoff,
in sarcasm at her dad,
it seemed that her Mommy was a little mad.
Because Rini had left for Tokyo?

        The sights, they took her breath away,
she was filled with awe, there was nothing to say,
it was peaceful and quick and frightening,
and she screamed aloud when there was lightening.
But she tried to stay strong for Momma.

        In the void, she did get lost,
and she started to cry in the chilly frost,
she sat in self-pity and shivered in the cold;
she remembered Momma and tried to be bold.
And she made her way out of the area.

        But since she was little, she got lost again,
and she started to think hope was lost when
she saw a light, so bright and great,
and it was the Time Gate!!
And Rini traveled on.

        It was a long journey it seemed to her,
and she kept close a rabbit's fur,
to give her luck throughout the day,
and Rini was lucky in everyway.
Cause she made it.

        And then again she was on her way,
flying in the clouds on a sunny day.
Gliding softly from the sky,
until she hit a girl and kissed a guy.
And there were Serena and Darien.

        Serena snarled in anger but lauged with glee,
to see that Rini was back and free,
from the sophisticated castle of hereafter,
and they celebrated after
to be reunited once more.

        She made it to Tokyo in the past.
Rini sighed with releif; she'd made it at last.
And now all would be good, she hoped it would,
And she ran to her friends as fast as she could.
She was there.

        Then she transformed and learned to fight,
training at all hours of the night,
killing beasts and growing strong,
and what was funny was that she had the powers all along,
but still she trained for her family.

        Small threats from the negaverse came,
but Rini put them all away,
with the help of the other fighters,
the goodie-two-shoe evil righters.
But they had fun.

        And in time, Rini learned to live,
with the others who were in
the 1990s, an old time for her,
but she missed her Mommy still for sure.
But Rini still stayed brave.

        And though she horribly missed her Momma,
I say this phrase with a comma,
she was estactic to see Darien and Serena,
Raye, Amy, Lita, Melissa, and Mina.
Her family and friends whom she loved.

And they loved her back.
