My fic: My name is Callista, and this is just one of the many ideas that I came up with for a story. No, Don't sue me cause I don't have any money. Sailor Moon, Sailor Pluto, etc, doesn't belong to me. But the characters that I created kinda do. Okay, this is a fic about Sailor Pluto. Why? Because she is my favorite of the senshi. I got this idea from a really weird dream I had one night. The dream actually scared me if you want to know the truth, it was so _real_. This fic can stand on it's own anywhere in the Sailor Moon time line because since Pluto is outside Time, it doesn't matter. I think this fic is going to be a prelude to another fic I have planned, but this one is about all the scouts. I don't know yet, but this one can stand on it's own. Everything else is pretty much self explanatory. Now, without an further Ado, on with my fic. . . . Time. The endless circle. Never stopping, never beginning. Of all the things in this world, time is the only constant. The world goes on, always changing, always moving.... Choices The Gaurdian "So It Begins...." She sighed. The mist was everywhere. And the darkness was calm, almost soothing. The silence was absolute. Mirrors, long, full and shimmering, stood out in the mist. They seemed to be waiting, waiting almost ominous. She was alone. She always had been. For a long time, almost as long as she could remember, she had been there. The constant guardian through the ages. She stared into the mirror, running her fingers over the reflection she saw in it. The dark hair, that strange green, pulled up in that same bun in the back of her head with the rest flowing freely down her back. The wide, ageless, red eyes, staring sadly with a wisdom that did not suit her young looks. They were the eyes of those who had seen everything. The bangs fell into those eyes, giving her face a rugged look. The figure, slim, young looking, the body looked about 20, if even that. She was an imposing figure, that she knew. Why was this her destiny? Why was she the guardian? She asked the reflection silently. It seemed that everyone had someone, a soul mate; Small Lady, Helios; Michuri, Haruka; Serenity...... Endymoin. The word whispered in her soul, seemingly eloping her. A pang of emotion hit her and her eyes closed. A single, shining tear trickled down her face slowly, a tiny droplet. It fell from her cheek and hit the ground. By the time it had splattered, she had regained her composure. It was time. She could not sit her forever, putting it off. She had things to do, appointments to be kept. Pitying herself was not one of them. She reached out and picked up her staff, which seemed to be almost an extension of her arm it was so familiar. Then, she looked in the reflection a final time. The face stared back, gazing indifferently at her. She turned quickly away from it and the mirror disappeared back into the mist. No one came to visit her here, in the limbo unless it was Small Lady's infreguent visits. It was the only place where time didn't exist, it was outside the timeline, or any of the time lines, it was by itself, alone, like her. It was not a place that enjoyed visitors. She walked towards a mirror near her. The glass was smooth and glowing as she touched it with the tip of the orb on her staff. The glass slimmered and took on a translucent appearance as she closed her eyes and stepped through. ------------- ------------- The air swirled about her and the change was almost immediate. The air was filled with the sounds of laughter and talking, the excited chatter was loud and happy. The room was colorfully decorated and bright with cheerfulness. White balloons and streamers hung from the ceiling and walls. Her staff was gone, replaced with a chain bracelet with a large glimmering garnet centered in it. She wore a black gown instead, long and flowing at the bottom, very elegant. Her hair was swept back and looked much more fancier than her usual bun. People walked about her, some almost recognizing her, greeting her warmly. A young lady with wavy red hair cut just above her shoulders talking excitedly to a young man with glasses. A woman with a purple hair pulled back in a long braid was looking at paintings on the wall until someone asked her for an autograph. Four young woman, their hair up in strange ways and wearing dresses colored red, blue, green, and orange* respectively walked by, chatting. The one with blue hair pulled back in a bun looked at everything innocently, almost child-like. A man with orange hair in a red suit* struted by, eying all the women in the room with an expert eye and was followed by a woman in a long dress with crimped light blue hair.* "There you are, you were almost late,Setsuna, " a soft voice called to her, bringing her back to reality. Michuri stood there, wearing her aqua gown of silk. She smiled her soft smile. The short haired blonde Haruka stood next to her in a tuxedo with a blue flower pinned to the jacket. They smiled at her warmly, Haruka looking a little uncomfortable in the dressed up atmosphere. "Imagine that," Haruka muttered. "The guardian of time late?" Michuri nudged her in the ribs and Haruka was silent. She smiled at their antics. "I was beginning to think you weren't going to make it," Michuri said. "Are you okay with everything?" She looked up, startled. How much did Michuri know? Could she know her true feelings? towards him? "I'm. . . . . fine," she answered slowly. "As you wish," Michuri eyed her over, a bit reluctantly. "You are certian." "There you are!" an overly cheery voice called. The three turned to see a smiling blonde in a light yellow, springy dress with white flowers on it coming towards them rapidly. She called over her shoulder. "Found them!" Minako was followed by a tall brunette. She wore a short, forest green dress that showed off her long tan legs. She was looking quite exasperated at the moment, and flustered. "We've been looking for you everywhere!" Makota said. "You're going to be late! And Rei's not going to be happy if this wedding doesn't get on with on time!" Minako grabbed Michuri's arm and Mako grabbed Setsuna. They both grabbed one of Haruka's arms because they knew how she could be. Together, the two women drug the three outer senshi back into the dressing room. "But I don't want to..." Haruka never finished her sentence as Minako stuck a donut in her mouth. ----------------- ------------------- The back dressing room was full of hustle and bustle. Rei was about to have a break down. She was running around trying to get everything right. "Made it!" Mako said. "Ami? Where is that veil?" she shouted. She turned to see them standing there. In one hand she held a clipboard and in the other she carried a pencil. "Good, it's about time you got here!" she looked around, satisfied they were there for the moment. "Hotaru! Where are you? Hotaru?" "Nani?" the black haired girl appeared from a back room, carrying a dress shoe in one hand. "There you are! Can you get those extra chairs in the lobby and bring them to the reception room quickly please?" Rei asked, checking things off on her clipboard. "It turns out a few guests that weren't going to be here came." "Umm sure," she said, handing Ami, who justed walked back into the room carrying a white veil, the shoe and leaving again. She stood. Watching the hurry with slight amusement. "What are you guys standing there for?" Rei finally took real notice of Minako and Makota. "Hurry! And you three as well! We have a deadline." "Umm, Rei," Minako interrupted. "What?" "Where's Usagi?" Rei looked around, surprise written all over her face. She dropped her clipboard when she realized that the bride was not present. Her eyes got very wide in panic. "USAGI?" Everyone looked around. "Nani Rei? What's wrong now?" Usagi, princess of the moon kingdom, and the protector of the innocent Sailor Moon, appeared. Her twin ponytails flowed almost to the ground. She wore a gown of pure white and had flowers in her hair. She was absolutely gorgeous. A gasp was heard from Haruka and Michuri. She looked just like her princess self. She smiled. She had designed it that way. To shock and to stun. It was a perfect replica of her past dress with a mix of her future Neo-Queen self's dress in there as well. Usagi smiled. Rei let out a sigh of relief. "Where were you?" "I was just getting another hair clip, problem Rei?" the blonde asked. Her beautiful, innocent face was flushed with excitement, and her azure blue eyes shining and full of life, hope, and most of all, love. Everyone was still staring at her gown. Setsuna smiled sadly. Her happy times were few, and the dangerous times were many. These times would be long gone in the future, followed with better and worse memories. But the little princess thought of nothing but the present. She turned away, feeling sufocated, as if she couldn't breathe. Why was it here destiny to be like this? Damn it! Why? The other senshi could all lead their own lives, never knowing the future, they could have families, have homes, be happy. A tear was threatening to fall and she knew that if that one fell, more would cascade soon after. It was then she noticed the worried face of Hotaru looking at her. "Are you okay?" she asked worried. "Yes, thank you Hotaru, I'm fine," she answered quickly. "I'm just a little tired that's all, I'll be just fine. Another lie. One more sin to taint her soul. "Ahem, Excuse me," a male voice said as the door to the dressing room opened a crack. She knew that voice. Oh gods did she know that voice. "Hi Mamo-,," Mamoru had stuck his head halfway in the door before three girls pounced on it and closed it on him. "Umm..." "Are you crazy?" Minako demanded. "You know it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding!" Ami stated. "Are you trying to ruin the marriage all ready???" Mako demanded. "No..I-" "Well then go on! We'll be ready in just a minute!" Rei reprimanded. "Bye Muffin!" Usagi called. "I'll be out in a bit!" "All right Usako," he said a bit reluctantly as he walked off. Her heart unconstricted slightly now that he was gone. Her confrontation was over. "All right people! Let's get this show on the road already!" Rei yelled, a megaphone instatly appearing in her hand. ------------ -------------- The service was beautiful. Usagi was shining in her gown, her face alight with excitement. The vows were said and the lovebirds gone without any problems,(much to the senshi's relief) besides Minako bursting out crying and Usagi's mother having to keep her husband silent. The two newlyweds drove off for their honeymoon. It was over. Sestuna left. She breathed a sigh of relief as she stepped through the mirror again. Over. Her eyes filled with tears as she sunk sowly to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. Why did she have to love him? Of all the men in the world, why him? She could hardly bear to look at him, fear that someone would know, feat that some one did know. Her love, destined to be with the princess she was destined to protect? Why was she cursed to be the gaurdian? Why? She lay there a long time, or a short one, depending on how one looks at it. It didn't matter to her. She had all the time in the world, and then more. This was her destiny, her duty, she had known that ever since she had first accepted her post.... Sestuna was awoke from her memories as she became aware of someone approaching. She rose quickly and was instantly changed from her princess gown back to her sailor uniform, her staff once again in her hand. Three women stood before her. They were the very word beauty, each robed in long flowing, Grecian or Roman style gowns like togas. The first, and eldest, had long black hair, pulled back into a tight braid, two wisps above each ear. Her eyes were a deep purple, conveying a look of knowing. The second sister had short silver hair that was half up, half down. Her eyes were gray and filled with wisdom. The youngest and the last of the trio was a girl/woman with wavy red hair which was long a flowing with a small braid in the left side of her face. She had inquisitive, innocent sparkling green eyes and a few freckles. In her hands she helds a pair of deadly looking shears. Sailor Pluto bowed low in front of the three. They nodded politely as she greeted them. "To whay do I owe the pleasure of your visit, O wise Fates?" she inquired. "There is a problem," the black haired woman said. "We are offering you a choice." "'A problem'? And 'a choice'?" Pluto repeated. "Yes," the silver haired one spoke with a magical voice and a nod. "A choice." The End! For now! Stay Tuned for Chapter of "Choices": Revelations Chapter Two: Who are the fates? Why are they offering Pluto this choice? What is the choice?
