Now, as for the last chapter, please tell me what you thought! And tell what you think about this one! E-mail me at: dbible@highland.net I wanna hear from you!!! I haven?t recieved any feedback on chapter one, hint hint! I wanna know if I stink here! Then I can fix it! Here we go again! Time is flowing, the river continuously moving. Things set in motion, things stopped from that motion. All around things change, for the better, for the worse. The only thing that ever stays the same in this world is that everything changes...... Choices The Gaurdian "Revelations" The time line had been disturbed. This was not planned. The arrival was changed. "Do not fear gaurdian, you?re confusion was expected," the silver haired maiden assured her. "And the problem?" There is a critical problem in the timeline. Some time in the very near future, " the red haired woman/girl spoke. "That is not possible. I would know if there were!" "There is no time to argue with you!" the raven haired girl said quickly, nearly snapping at her. The silver haired woman came forward. She was holding a long thinly woven thread. It was a sparkling silver and it seemed to be the only light in the room. It was a life. "You know what this is?" "I do." "A great danger is near. You do not know if it yet, but you will soon. This is the choice." She felt her pulse quicken and her breath shorten as she stared at the faintly glowing silver thread, almost entranced. "I do not understand..." "You will..." the raven haired girl said, staring at her coolly with those large lumous dark eyes. "The thread is your princess, it is her life thread. This is the thread that binds her soul to her body. If it were to be cut..." the silver haired fate broke off. "She could die," she finished for her, "What does this have to do with me? The princess has a destiny, you as well as I or any of the chosen know this!" "We know this," the fiery haired youngest fate repeated," but there is one who does not like it." "What do you mean?" The raven haired beauty held up a small glowing orb. It floated before the four of them. It began to hummed quietly with energy as it began to form a picture of a thing. It was a living being, or it seemed to be, it was horribly distorted and ugly. The thing was as black as night, it almost looked like a cloud of darkness. Two piercing eyes, the only visible thing in the darkness seemed to peer straight at her and the Fates. The image began clear as the being began to twist and shrink, withering horribly. It looked like a twisting mass of darkness, of death, the serpent of death, come back for her, only for her. It formed into the serpent first, a long black snake with eyes of darkness and teeth of death. Weaving back and forth as if swayed by some song like the charmers of India. It caused her blood to chill looking at it. It morphed again. This time into a dark furred beast, looking completely different. The only thing identifiying it as the being was the eyes. So dark, so deep, as if they held eternity in them. The beast has long wicked looking claws and sharp teeth that gnashed together angrily. It howled once, as if in warning. The being changed a final time. She watched, transfixed, she wanted to turn as it did so. The creature howled as if it were dying, in such a painfulled voice it chilled her blood. It convulsed and shook as it was horrible disfigured, coming to a black mass of darkness, then shifting. It took the form of a woman, no....a girl, for the figure couldn?t have been more than 19 looking. The being twisted and withered as it formed. A body, arms, legs, began to shape. Features began to shapes as well. She watched, mystified, and yet she knew. This threat was nothing new to her. Although she had never seen it, she knew what it was. If not the person, the name alone. "Nemesis" The girl, for she was in the form of a girl now, blinked lazily. Her eyes were feline and dangerous, twin orbs waiting to suck up victims and crush their souls. She wore a short dress that was very revealing both on her legs and her top, the neck line cut low in a V. She had tall high heel boots that ran about yo mid thigh. Her long, almost down to her ankles, thick tangled locks of midnight weaved around her head, like snakes. She was like the Greek Medusa, without the snakes for hair. She smiled, a soft, sext smile and looked like the cat that caught the canary. "Correct, Gaurdian..." the silver haired maiden nodded solemnly. "The Dark One has returned to this plane." "Nemesis does not wish to see the Princess rise to power, the Dark One wants her destroyed," the fiery haired fate explained. "She sees her as a great threat." "We had thought that Nemesis was retrained beyond this world. The safe gaurds and the locks on this dimension were heavy and many, but some how Nemesis slipped through." "So it would seem,"Pluto replied. She murmured," So, it seems that one of the Ever One?s has returned. This is putting the Princess is a lot of danger....They must be warned." It was then she felt it. The tingle of energy that signaled the senshi transforming. It was to late. There was no time for a warning. "Why was I not informed sooner? It may all ready be to late for the senshi!" "We only now discovered the flaw, Gaurdian. Nemesis managed to slip past our defenses and now we are helpless against The Dark One," the black haired woman stated softly. "The Ever Ones are hardly helpless..." "In this frame, and in this time, we are. Even we, the Fates, cannot hold a chance to stop Nemesis on our own. This world has no faith to support us," the silver haired responded. "I must go to the senshi, what is it you wish of me?" she asked bitterly. Even all the senshi combined had little hope of defeating Nemesis. "To offer you a choice,"the red headed fate said. "A choice?" "Yes, an offer to save your princess." "Then....there is a way to kill Nemesis?" Pluto questioned. "Not quite kill, but there is a way to block the Infinite One?s passage into this frame, perhaps permenantly," the silver hair added. "I am listening..." Pluto responded, her mind racing. Nemesis, The Soul Eater, The World Destoryer. A fairy tale told to children to scare them. "To banish Nemesis, you must get close enough to The Infinite One to work the enchantment," the raven haired fate explained, "but, you must be warned, the one who banished Nemesis will perish." "This knowledge was to be given to the Princess of the White Moon," the silver hair paused, then continued, "but we, the fates, have seen to give you this choice first." "Choice?" she asked. "Yes, Gaurdian of Time. Would you have us deliever this to the princess. You know whay her choice would be..." "She could banish the Dark One, and in the process she would be destroyed herself!" she said. The nodded and spoke in unison. "Yes." "But, you told me of this, and my choice is whether or not The Princess dies...." she continued, her mind working rapidly. Death...the Princess..... "Correct once more, Gaurdian. Only one is foretold to die, and that is your choice,"the silver haired maiden said, wrapping the glistening silver thread around her hand. "Only one..." she repeated softly, her voice catching in her throat. She knew the consequences of her choice. "This is not the only reason you chose to tell me this, is it?" she accused, almost suspiciously. "We have our reasons, as we have explained to you," the spoke again in one voice, with many others in it. Another thread joined the first one. This one was a shimmery golden color. It intermingled with the silver one as if it were attracted to it magically. It was another life......it was HIS life. Her prince and princess, together even now. She understood the meaning of this. If one were to die, than the other would surely follow soon, if not immediately, than very soon. And if those two were to die, then....Chibi-Usa....the next hope. A tear managed to trickle down her cheek. Only one, but it was enough. Even as she watched, a voice began to whisper darkly into her ear, "Let her die. She us nothing to you! Nothing but a spoiled crybaby who doesn?t realize how fortunate she really is. No one would ever know-" She would know. That was enough. Why were the gods so cruel? They could be so heartless, so uncaring. The mortals were nothing more than toys to them, only playthings. She knew her choice all ready. It was fate. Her fate. She could not let the princess or prince die. No matter how she felt. She knew what she had to do. It was her duty, first and foremost. To protect the princess of the white moon, and her prince of earth. No matter what. She looked around. The world had so much, but she had so little time. The world was spinning without her. She would miss it. In the end, she would be forgotten, as just another legend. It was time. The fates were waiting. Each wore a different, just similiar expression. The eldest wore a mask of nothingness, while the middle was waiting patiently, if this were some trivial matter, the youngest, the red haired girl/woman wore a look of curiousity, as if wondering. They all looked serene as well. "I have made my choice," she stated, her eyes clear and her mouth set in a firm line, intent on betraying no emotion. ". . . . ."the red head seemed a bit anxious and ready to speak. The silver hair put a hand on her shoulder gently as if to caution her. She stepped forward an inch. ". . . yes. . . " "I choose," she look a deep breath, as if it would be her last, "myself." To Be Continued..... Don?t ya just luv cliffhangers! They are just so infurating! Well, that wraps up another short chapter of "Choices: The Gaurdians Tale" Well, don?t leave yet! Chapter Three should be coming out soon, I promise! At the very most, it will be out soon I hope. Next Episode: Chapter Three: "Eternity" The senshi battle with this unspeakable enemy! What do the Fates have in mind? Will the one who banishes Nemesis truely be destroyed? Still around! It?s all coming up! Author Notes: 1. Of those of you who are lost and know nothing about Greek Mythology, the Fates are characters from that mythology. They were often protrayed as three old hags, unlike the three beautiful maidens in my story, each with mystical powers. They controled the life of the mortals. The Ancient Greeks believed that their life was a thread, one sister would spin the thread, one sister would measure the thread, and the third sister would cut the thread, thus ending the mortals life on Earth. 2. Nemesis= meaning eternity, quite fitting I thought. 3. Yeah, I know you are probably thinking that Usagi JUST got married, now she has to fight bad guys? Setsuna is beyond the time line. This battle could be taking place any time after the outer scouts appeared. But in reality, it takes place right after Sailor Moon Sailor Stars (which I am currently watching the last few eps of!) So, the Starlights do not appear in this fic, boo or yeah, which ever you guys think. 4. If you want some music that really goes with this fic, I recommend listening to "Turn Back Time" by Aqua (ya know, the group that brought you "Barbie Girl" and "Lollipop [Candyman]") Just a suggestion, it seems to fit the story
