	Love Reborn	Chapter 6		Rated G/PG

	The scouts regroup at the temple after the halted attack.  Maia had 
struck a low blow.  To attack a scout was one thing but to attack their advisors, 
that was unforgivable.  Most of the scouts took the news pretty well but as 
expected Mina and Serena took it the hardest.
	"If they harm a single hair on Arty's head I swear they won't live to see 
their kingdom destroyed!" shouts Mina as she paces the floor.
	"Calm down a bit Mina I'm sure their fine," says Lita.
	"What about poor Luna?" asks Serena as tears begin to fill her eyes.
	"They'll be fine meatball head so no waterworks ok?" asks Rae in an 
unusually gentle voice.
	"Maybe we can find a way to get to them before tomorrow," says Ami 
from her seat at the table.
	"Really?  What do you mean?" asks Teresa.
	"I was just going over data that I've collected from our previous battles 
with the Pleiades Princesses and it could be possible to pinpoint their location 
before tomorrow."
	"Yeah and if we can blast in there early we would have surprise on our 
side," says Lita.
	"And then we could dust em and save Arty and Luna all in one sweep," 
says Mina.
	"Oh Amy can you really do it?" asks Serena.
	"Sure I can Serena wait and see." Says Ami as she begins typing faster 
than possible on her computer.

	*****	*****	*****	*****	*****

	In the palace of the Pleiades Alcyone sits toying with her new 
companions.  Maia and her monster are just enjoying the show.
	"Here kitty kitty kitty," croons Alcyone.
	"Mother please can I play with one?" asks Maia.
	"No I'm having too much fun.  Besides I don't think that our friends here 
really like you at all."
	Alcyone hits the cage that is suspended in mid air and it begins to spin 
round and round.  Artemis and Luna start to look a little green under the fur and 
Alcyone laughs more.
	"I hope the girls rescue us soon," mumbles Luna.
	"Don't worry Luna I'm sure they're on their way by now," says Artemis.

	The sunset looked lovely as Baron and Teresa strolled through the 
park.  They had left the temple at about three in the afternoon.  Serena and her 
court didn't need them hanging around the temple so they decided to get some 
fresh air.
	"How long has she been at it?" asks Baron in disbelief.
	"Ami's been computing data for over 6 hours and says she's not 
stopping till she pinpoints the palace," says Teresa.
	"I wish I still remembered where it was located maybe I could help."
	"It's ok sweetie no one expects you to remember something from so 
long ago."
	"Yeah but still I just feel so useless."
	"Your not useless to me."
	The couple stops walking and stare at the setting sun just holding hands.  
As the sky lights up for the last minute of the day they lean into each other and kiss 
ever so gently.  The kiss lasts long after the last rays of light have gone from the 
horizon.  When they finally part Baron wraps an arm around Teresa and they 
continue walking.  A dark shadow follows them intent on taking what is hers.

	Back at the temple Lita and Rae are cleaning up after yet another 
dinner cooked by Lita.  Serena, Mina, and Amy are still sitting at the table.
	"Hey Ames why don't you stop for tonight I mean you haven't taken a 
break all night and it's getting late," says Mina.
	"I just can't figure it out," says Amy in a confused voice.
	"Sure you can Amy and we all know you can but you need to rest if you 
want to think clearly," says Serena with a yawn.  "Speaking of rest I'm gonna head 
home."
	"Oh Serena before you go," calls Lita from the kitchen, Darien called 
for you."
	"He did?  When?"
	"When you were too busy stuffing sushi in your mouth to talk on the 
phone," answers Rae.
	"And you guys just told me now!"
	"Sorry guess we forgot," chorus Lita and Rae.
	"Oh well I guess I'll just stop over at his place on the way home, bye guys."
	Serena skips out of the temple and all the way over to Darien's apartment 
building.  When the elevator lets her off on the top floor Serena skips down the 
hallway too.   With a loud nock on the door she waits for him to answer.  A minute 
later Darien opens the door and is nearly tackled by Serena.
	"Hi Muffin," she says as she buries her head in his chest.
	"Hi Serena," says Darien as he places a little kiss on her head right 
between her meatballs.  "Why didn't you just call me?"
	"Because some people can't be trusted with phone messages."
	"Oh well I like the result anyway.  Shall I walk you home then?"
	"Ahh can't I stay just a bit longer?" whines Serena.
	"No way I'm not gonna chance getting your Dad mad at me again," says 
Darien.
	"Ok I guess you're right after all I wouldn't want my boyfriend with a rake 
stuck in his head."
	Darien just rolls his eyes and Serena laughs as they leave the apartment 
building and head home.  On their way they decide to cut through the park and stop 
at their favorite bench.  A shadow watches them as they settle in for a romantic 
moment.

	Baron stops walking and tightens his hold on Teresa's shoulder.  Both 
suddenly have a really bad feeling.  They turn around but the path behind them is 
empty.
	"Baron lets go home," whispers Teresa.
	"Something isn't right here," says Baron as he begins to scan the 
shadows.  "Someone's following us."
	"Your scaring me Baron come on lets just go."
	"Fine but take it slow."
	They start walking again only to stop as a figure in a green dress steps 
from the shadows onto the path in front of them.
	"Darling you always could tell when I was lurking about," pouts Maia.  
"Oh well shall we be going dear?"
	"He's not going anywhere with you Maia," says Teresa.
	"Oh you can come too princess after all mother wants your silly little 
crystal."
	"Leave her alone Maia," says Baron stepping protectively in front of his 
beloved.
	"Hmm no I don't think so.  Sorry sweetie but you don't have a choice in 
the matter," says Maia as a portal opens directly below the couple swallowing 
them.  "Two down and two to go."  With a laugh Maia vanishes into another portal.

	Serena and Darien are sitting on their bench seemingly only aware of 
each other.  When a wave of dark energy from Maia's portal hits them they snap 
to attention.  However it's too late as Metallo fires scissors blades at them pinning 
them to the bench.
	"Come with me your majesties," he says.
	"Do we have a choice?" mumbles Darien.
	"Time to meet the Queen."
	Metallo opens up a portal and it surrounds the trio and they all vanish 
leaving an empty bench with a couple new indentations.

	*****	*****	*****	*****	*****

	The next morning phones at three houses and one temple never 
seemed to stop ringing.  Both Serena's parents and Teresa's parents were 
calling all over trying to find their missing daughters.  Mina, Amy, Lita, and Rae all 
got calls and all had to report that they had not seen the girls since the night before.  
After the phones died down communicators beeped and an emergency meeting 
of the scouts was called at the temple.
	"So has anyone seen either of them?" asks Rae.
	"Nope last time I saw either they were on their way home," says Mina.
	"You think they got attacked on the way home?" asks Lita.
	"Maybe, but why wouldn't they contact us especially Serena?" asks Ami.
	"If they got attacked they might not have had time to," says Lita as she 
begins to pace the floor.
	"I'll ask the fire.  Maybe that will tell us what's going on," says Rae as 
she goes to meditate.
	After an hour or so Rae comes out with a worried look on her face.  The 
other scouts quickly gather round the young priestess.
	"I can't sense any of them," she says.  "It's like they vanished."
	"They must have been captured it's the only logical explanation," says 
Ami.
	"Great and we have a showdown in a couple of hours," says Lita.
	"They probably wanted to get us alone cause they thought they could 
defeat us alone," says Mina.  "You know the saying, destroy and conquer.  Wait 
no that's not it um what is it?"
	Everyone sighs and shakes their heads in unison.  "Divide and conquer 
Mina," says Ami
	"Well it's time to prove that the Sailor Scouts are a force to be reckoned 
with!" says Rae as she jumps up from the floor.
	"Yeah!" they all say together.  Then they all head out the door and to the 
park.

	*****	*****	*****	*****	*****

	"They won't show," whispers Metallo as he tries to hide behind a bush.
	"Of course they will we have too much that they want for them not to 
show," says Maia with a toss of her red hair.
	True to their word four scouts arrive in the park looking very wary.  When 
Maia is certain that they are all there she steps from her hiding place.
	"Nice to see you showed up girls.  Ready to die?" asks Maia.
	"You better be the one ready to die lady," says Jupiter.
	"What did you do with our friends?" asks Venus.
	"Oh nothing much we just sent them back home to mother.  I'm sure 
they're having a great time by now," says Maia a smile touching her lips.
	"Your gonna wish you hadn't messed with our friends," says Mars.
	"Enough chatter, die sailor brats!" Maia blasts the scouts with dark 
energy and they scatter to avoid the blast.
	"Venus love chain encircle!"
	"Mars celestial fire surround!"
	The two attacks combine and hit Maia dead on and she staggers back. 
Metallo, sensing a losing battle, jumps from his hiding spot and starts blasting the 
scouts with blades to give Maia time to recover.
	"Mercury bubbles blast!"
	"Hey where is everybody?" asks the monster as he stumbles about in 
Mercury's fog.  "Maia?"
	"Nope sorry just us," says Jupiter as she fires up her attack.  "Jupiter 
thunderclap zap!"
	"Venus love chain encircle!"
	"Mars celestial fire surround!"
	"Mercury ice bubbles freeze!"
	"Uh oh."
	The combined attacks hit Metallo dead on and he disintegrates into a 
pile of dust.  The scouts celebrate the minor victory until they notice a very angry 
red head coming at them.
	"Die sailor scouts!" she screams as a powerful blast of dark energy 
hits the scouts throwing them like ragdolls across the grass.
	"Let's take out the trash," says Mars as she stands in a fighting pose.
	"Were with ya," chorus the others.
	"Any weak spots Mercury?" asks Venus.
	"Possibly her right shoulder, yes aim for her shoulder," says Mercury 
from behind her visor.
	"Venus Love and beauty shock!"
	"Jupiter Oak Evolution!"
	"Mars Flame sniper!"
	"Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!"
	The combined attacks hit Maia on her shoulder and she turns to dust 
before their eyes.  Exhausted the scouts still manage to exchange high fives and 
cheers all around.
	"Nice work ladies," says a sassy female voice.
	"Saved us the clean up," chimes a second female.
	The scouts look up and see two identical figures hovering in front of 
them.  One is wearing a long indigo dress with a flared skirt and long sleeves.  The
second is dressed in a short violet dress that fit like a second skin.  Both had short
black hair and red eyes.
	"More of you?" gasps Mars.  "Don't you ever run out of sisters?"
	"Oh you'll find out soon enough," they say together.  "Time to meet your 
friends."  With a wave of their hands dark bands of energy encircle each scout.  
Then a portal opens and everyone vanishes into it.  
	When they reappear they are inside the palace of the Pleiades.  The 
scouts look about them and suddenly their eyes catch on a familiar lifeless body.
	"Oh my god," shrieks Venus as she falls to her knees.

Dum dum dum, ohh cliff hangar!  I was hoping to get one of these in sometime.
