Everyone else just stands about not knowing what to do. Mercury finally does something by turning on her visor and opening her computer. "What ya doing Mercury?" asks Silver Moon. "I'm scanning this room and hopefully the entire compound to get a computer generated map for us to use," replies Mercury. "You think she knows we escaped?" asks Jupiter as she looks around the room. "It feels like I'm being watched." "Oh I'm sure she knows and she'll probably find a way to get us right where she wants us," says Tuxedo Taurus. "Well even if she does we'll still need a map to escape later," says Mercury as she types in a few more bits of data. "You think we should even try to move those two?" asks Mars as she points to Sailor Moon and Venus who are still crying. "I don't think you'll need to worry about that," says Tuxedo Mask. "Look at the walls." The walls of the room were slowly disintegrating into a mass of swirling dark power. The swirling over took each wall then the ceiling then the floor. Suddenly it collapsed in on them and they vanished leaving the room as it had been before but without any scouts. The dark energy dissipated and deposited the six scouts and two tuxedos in a medieval looking room. The walls were solid stone and the few windows that were present were high and very narrow. There was a huge fireplace and a chandelier filled with black candles that lit the room. Along the far wall a long stone table sat and in back of that sat a throne made of black marble. Sailor Moon and Venus had long since stopped crying and were awed by their surroundings. "What is this place?" asks Jupiter. "Alcyone's throne room," replies Tuxedo Taurus. "Why did she bring us here?" asks Mars. "Show yourself Alcyone!" shouts Venus in a half-crazed voice. "Time to pay for what you have done. I'll kill you just like you killed Artemis." "Will you now?" asks an echoing voice. "Come on Alcyone what's the matter you afraid to come out and fight?" "Oh no I'm not afraid I'm just very careful. What do you say we replay a bit of history hmm." Dark energy begins to circle about the room and suddenly they weren't in Alcyone's throne room but the ruins of the moon kingdom. The scouts look about stunned and only Mercury has the presence of mind to scan the scene with her visor. "We aren't really on the moon this is just an illusion," says Mercury. "Still smart as ever Mercury," says Alcyone's voice. "You see you wanted to know why I brought you here so I decided to tell you. Back in the days of the Silver Millenium Queen Serenity and I were very good friends. I was even visiting the day you were born Serenity." "My daughters would often baby-sit you while your mother and I would sit and talk or go for rides on the beach. We talked of future alliances and I even told your mother about the plans of marriage for one of my daughters and the prince of the Hyadies star cluster. There was going to be a treaty signed between our two kingdoms but all that was delayed with the news that you, Tranquility, were on the way." "I knew you were going to cause trouble the moment I saw you. You were only a year old at the time but I could see it in your eyes. My visits were less frequent after you were born. Queen Serenity and I were still friends and she told me of her eldest daughter's betrothal to the earth prince. I was so happy for her. Fifteen years went by with only a few visits and brief words exchanged between us. Then it happened. Your mother, for diplomatic reasons she claimed, summoned Prince Eldeberon and he left my daughter with a kiss and a promise of marriage. He never came back to fulfill that promise." "He met Tranquility on that trip and fell instantly and completely in love with her. Your mother called them soul mates and said that they should not be separated. I disagreed to say the least. I came with my armies to take what had been promised to my daughter. Unfortunately we could not capture Eldeberon so we took Tranquility as a bargaining chip instead. Oh your mother was so sad, but she had bigger things to worry about with trouble brewing on earth. So she strongly encouraged Eldeberon to trade himself for her little Tranquility." "You thought you were so brave for sacrificing your life for that silver haired brat. Serenity banished me to the far reaches of the galaxy after that but I had what I wanted. You were so sure that she would be safe, that the sleeping spell would break in a few years, foolish boy. Our kind is ageless you were lucky to die in the revolution." "What?" exclaim all but Tuxedo Taurus. "Didn't your parents teach you anything? Children of the stars such as Eldeberon and myself live forever just like the Lunarian royalty. No matter, it's time to take back what is mine." With those words black energy engulfs the scene around them and they are once again in the throne room of Alcyone. Now a small portion of black energy surrounds Silver Moon and she finds herself in a glass coffin lying on the table in front of the throne. The scouts run to her aid but an invisible barrier blocks their path. Silver Moon is reminded of her dream as she looks down at her clothes only to find that she is now in her princess dress. Now she knows what will come next and she isn't disappointed. From the ceiling Alcyone descends dressed in her long black gown with her hair flowing freely to her ankles. She is holding her staff and the stones in her crown catch bits of the candlelight and spark with life. A pendant with a dark crystal at its center hangs around her neck. Alcyone begins to laugh and the scouts cover their ears to the horrid sound. Tuxedo Taurus seems unfazed as Alcyone makes her grand entrance. When she finally touches down the laugher stops. "Welcome children to my humble home. Don't stay long and please die quickly," says Alcyone as she moves to the center of the room cutting off Tranquility's view. "We won't be dying anytime soon witch," snarls Venus as she takes a fighting stance. "Oh you must be the one whose cat I killed. Was yours the white one or the purple one?" "The white one." "Ah yes he was a tad bit insistent on defending the female. I think I would have rather liked to keep him had he not been so pure hearted." "So you admit to killing him?" "Of course I did. I love to watch the life drain out of them slowly." "You witch, Venus Love Chain Encircle!" "Good bye blondie," says Alcyone as with a wave of her hand she sends the golden chain flying back to its owner knocking her unconscious. "Next?" "This is for Venus," says Jupiter as she collects a charge. "Jupiter Thunder Dragon!" "Cute but not very affective child," says Alcyone as she once again turns the attack back on it's owner electrocuting her until she is unconscious. "We need a plan of attack," says Mercury as she touches her earring to activate her visor. "Any quick suggestions then?" asks Mars, as she stands ready to fight. "I don't think your smart enough to beat me Mercury," says Alcyone. "Why not put that artificial intelligence to rest for a while." Alcyone sends a blast of dark energy that attacks Mercury's computer and visor causing both to explode and injure her at the same time. "Mercury are you ok?" asks Sailor Moon as she catches her friend in her arms. "I'll be ok I just need to ret up a bit, be careful Sailor Moon," says Mercury as her eyes drift closed. "I have had just about enough of you miss high and mighty," says Sailor Moon as she gets out her moon scepter. "Maybe if I hit her with an anti evil spell we could have a chance," suggests Mars. "And while she's frozen we hit her with everything we've got." "Right." "Let's do it." "Hey your royal blackness," shouts Mars. "Yes Martian," says Alcyone. "Why don't you take another lesson in fashion school cause basic black is so last season." "Watch your tong child or you might loose it." "Why don't you get lost, Evil Spirit Be Gone!" shouts Mars as she throws an anti evil charm at Alcyone. Instead of hitting Alcyone it hits her shield and drops to the ground taking the shield with it. "You are an annoying one aren't you? Now you die," says Alcyone as she prepares a blast of dark energy. "Not without a fight witch, Mars Firebird Strike!" The attacks meet and Alcyone soon overpowers Mars and blasts her into the wall right above the fireplace. "Mars no!" screams Sailor Moon as she crumples to her knees. "Don't worry Sailor Moon we can do it," says Tuxedo Mask as he takes her hand in his. "You can do nothing earthling. You and your earth people are so easy to corrupt and destroy. Why just look at how easy it was for Beryl," says Alcyone. "Well at least we fight our own battles and don't rely on others to do things for us," says Tuxedo Mask, as he stands ready to fight. "True but doing things that way is what makes you so easy to destroy. Good bye sweet prince." Alcyone sends a blast of dark energy straight at Tuxedo Mask who meets it with a barrage of red roses to no affect. The blast slams him into the wall next to the fireplace with a sickening crunch. "No more," screams Sailor Moon as she looks to Tuxedo Taurus who also looks a bit worried. "This ends now Alcyone. You have hurt my friends, killed my cat, kidnapped my sister, and threatened my home. It's time to pay for all that you have done. In the name of the moon I shall right wrongs and triumph over evil and that means you!" "Take your best shot princess," sneers Alcyone. "Moon Scepter Elimination!" The blast hits Alcyone dead center but she merely takes it with a yawn and a look of boredom. "Are you done yet?" asks Alcyone. "I'm not done until your dead." "Pity but I'm not going to die anytime soon princess. Goodbye." "Huh?" With a wave of her hand Alcyone begins returning Sailor Moon's attack mixed with her own dark energy. The blast overpowers Sailor Moon knocking her scepter from her hands and sending her to her knees. "I can still beat you," says Sailor Moon. "You are an optimistic fool aren't you. Say hello to your mother for me will you," says Alcyone as she sends the kill blast towards her. "Look out!" shouts Tuxedo Taurus as he shoves Sailor Moon out of the blast. "No you fool!" shouts Alcyone as she stops the blast before it hits Tuxedo Taurus. "Leave her to me Eldeberon I don't want to hurt you." "You'll have to kill me before I let you hurt her witch." "You let your heart rule your head. When did you change? You used to be such a sensible young man." "I have always listened to my heart Alcyone. But of course you wouldn't remember anything about that because yours stopped beating a millenium ago." "Good bye Eldeberon." Alcyone blasts Tuxedo Taurus but now Sailor Moon gets in the way taking part of the blast. "Foolish girl you shall die with him now." Alcyone increases the blast until both bodies lay still on the ground. She turns to the glass coffin and it's sobbing occupant in her pale blue dress. With a wave of her hand the coffin disappears and Tranquility looks at the scene before her. The silver haired girl takes in the devastation around her. Eyes that had once shone a crystal clear blue filled with hope were now as empty and cold as ice. Her friends lay scattered on the ground in front of her. The only ones that remained were herself and Alcyone. "Well princess do you finally give up?" asks Alcyone in a taunting voice. "Why should I give in when I can go down fighting," replies Tranquility. "Look around you I have destroyed them all, even your precious prince." "You didn't destroy them they still live on, in my heart." "How touching. Now hand over your crystal." "Never, Sirius Crystal Power!" "Dark Crystal Power!" The battle begins. Princess Tranquility and the Sirius Crystal blast Alcyone. Alcyone counters with the power of her dark crystal. Alcyone starts to overpower Tranquility as the Sirius Crystal begins to drain her life force. Alcyone smiles with the knowledge of a battle about to be won. From the other side of the room a figure stirs. A blonde head slowly rises off of the ground and blue eyes open to see the battle in progress. Summoning all of her strength Sailor Moon stands and holds her broach high. "Silver Crystal Power!" She turns into Princess Serenity and sends a blast of her own at Alcyone. "No this can't be I destroyed you!" shouts Alcyone as the blast from the silver crystal evens out the attacks. "You can never destroy the power of love," replies Serenity in a determined voice. "Love will always conquer all Alcyone," adds Tranquility. "Love can never conquer me for I am invincible!" With that said Alcyone increases her power blast and knocks the princesses back, but not down. The girls look at each other and smile. Their eyes meet and a message is under stood, time to combine the crystals. Standing side by side they move their crystals close together so they are almost touching. "Sirius Crystal," starts Tranquility. "Silver Crystal," continues Serenity. "Combine!" they shout together. "NO!" shouts Alcyone. "This can't happen!" The crystals merge and the princesses join hands. The energy blast from the crystals overpowers Alcyone and her dark crystal. They watch as one by one the crystals in Alcyone's crown shatter and finally her dark crystal begins to crack. Then there is an explosion of light and then nothing. When the light dies down Alcyone is no more and the princesses lay side by side on the ground, not moving and in their sailor forms. The others begin to wakeup. All of the injuries caused by Alcyone were healed by the power of the crystals. When the scouts and tuxedos realize what happened they immediately gather round the unconscious girls in the center of the room. Tuxedo Mask cradles the limp body of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Taurus clings to the lifeless form of Silver Moon. No one says a word. The only sound is that of tears falling from everyone's eyes. As the scouts circle round their fallen leader Tuxedo Taurus carries his dead princess to the stone table and lays her out as if for a funeral. He kneels beside her holding one hand to his face and begins to weep. "Wake up please," chokes Tuxedo Mask finally. "Serena please come back I need you." "We all need you Serena please wake up," pleads Venus in between sobs. "Serena please open your eyes," begs Jupiter as she holds one of her limp hands in her own. "Ohhhh," comes a shallow moan from the blonde girl. "Sailor Moon?" asks Mars in a shaky voice. "What?" asks Sailor Moon as her eyes slowly drift open. "What happened? Who died?" "We thought you had," replies Mercury with a smile. "Oh," Sailor Moon blushes. Tuxedo Mask quickly kisses her much to the embarrassment of the scouts around them. When they part Sailor Moon looks about and spots Tuxedo Taurus with Silver Moon. "Tranquility!" she exclaims trying to jump up only to find herself being picked up by the strong arms of Tuxedo Mask. He carries her across the room to where Tuxedo Taurus kneels crying. When she sees the pale face and still features of her sister Sailor Moon turns away from the site and buries her face in Tuxedo Mask's chest. Everyone moves to circle the dead princess. The joy they felt knowing that Sailor Moon had survived is slowly replaced by a growing sense of dread. "Is she," begins Venus in a shaky voice. "Yes, she's gone," replies Tuxedo Taurus in a hoarse voice. "She has to wake up," says Jupiter in disbelief. "I mean Sailor Moon woke up and so will Silver Moon right?" "No you don't understand," says Tuxedo Taurus. "She has never used her crystal like that before. She won't be coming back." "I don't know how long she had been fighting Alcyone before I was able to help her," says Sailor Moon in a low voice. "She must have been quite weak." "Can't you use the Silver Crystal to bring her back?" asks Mars in a hopeful voice. "The silver crystal is not powerful enough to bring back a life, it can only preserve it's spirit," says Tuxedo Taurus as his free hand makes a fist at his side. "I'd give up my soul if I could only hear her voice one more time." "Never say you will give up your soul my love, for then you will never be with me again," the words float through the air as if said by an angel. All faces turn towards the sound and a gasp of surprise comes from the group. Before them stand two figures, one is tall and has long white hair up in ondongo style and the other is shorter with long silver ondongo style pigtails. Both are dressed in flowing white gowns and wear delicate golden crowns on their heads. Sailor Moon is the first to speak. "Mother? Sister?" she asks in a disbelieving voice. "Yes daughter it's me," replies the taller figure. "Hi Serena," says the shorter figure with a shy wave. "No I'm not going to believe this," says Tuxedo Taurus with a shake of his head. "Why are you here?" asks Mercury. "I came to set things right," begins the queen. "It is not yet time for my daughter to join me on the other side so I must help you to restore her before it is too late." "But how? The silver crystal can't do that can it?" asks Tuxedo Taurus. "Alone no, but with the help of another star crystal it is possible." "You mean the Eldeberon Crystal?" "Yes. Now listen carefully. Sailor Moon hold the silver crystal above Tranquility and Tuxedo Taurus you do the same with your Eldeberon Crystal. Tranquility lay down next to your body on the table. Now both of you repeat after me. Crystal Rebirth Power." "Crystal Rebirth Power!" They shout at the same time. The silver crystal sends a ray of white light into Silver Moon's dead body and the Eldeberon crystal sends a red beam. Suddenly Prince Eldeberon and Princess Serenity stand holding their crystals in stead of Tuxedo Taurus and Sailor Moon. As the amazed scouts watch the two Silver Moon's combine and color returns to her pale cheeks. The crystals stop glowing and their owners return to their original forms. Seven worried warriors move in closer to the still silent body on the table. Tuxedo Taurus reaches for a hand and is surprised when it meets him half way. Sighs of relief are heard all around as pale blue eyes open for the first time since the battle had ended. Silently and without notice the queen's spirit drifts out of the room and back into timeless space. "Baron why do you look so worried?" asks Silver Moon in a sleepy voice. "I was so scared that you would never wake up," he replies as he starts to cry once again. "Don't be silly, remember I was asleep for a thousand years and I still survived." "Of course I'll never doubt you," he says with a kiss. "Well I suggest that we all head home for a celebration," says Jupiter with enthusiasm. "Not without us I hope," calls a familiar female voice. "I told you they were in this room," says another familiar male voice. "Yeah just like you said they were in the last three rooms we tried Artemis." "Hey I was right this time doesn't that count for anything?" "This was the only door we hadn't tried yet you fur brain!" "Artemis!" shouts Venus. "Luna!" Shouts Sailor Moon. "Uh oh," say the cats in unison as they are swept up in ferocious hugs by their respective owners. "Oh Artemis don't you ever die on me again or so help me I'll kill you," says Venus and she twirls around with Artemis in her arms. "Um Mina can you stop please I think I'm gonna be sick," says Artemis looking a bit green. "Oh sorry Arty." "Luna oh I'm so glad to see you even if you do nag and act like a know it all and boss me around and wake me up and," says Sailor Moon as she squeezes Luna tighter with each word. "Serena," squeaks Luna. "I can't breathe." "Oh Sorry Luna," says Sailor Moon who loosens her grip just a tad bit. "Now that you've settled down a bit would you mind telling me what you meant by saying if Artemis ever died again you would kill him, Venus?" asks Luna. "Well you two died," says Venus. "No we didn't, we've been locked in a cage for the past few days but we never died." "You were both severely beaten and Artemis was already dead when we arrived here," says Mercury. "I don't remember being beaten to death," says Artemis as he looks to Luna for confirmation. " I mean Luna got a bit mad at me for getting us lost but she didn't beat me, not that much anyway." "Oh shut up you I never laid a paw on you," says Luna as she bats Artemis on the head. "Ouch!" "What do you mean by lost Artemis?" asks Jupiter. "Well we escaped from the cage that Alcyone had us locked up in thanks to my lock picking skills," says Artemis. "And then thanks to his keen sense of direction we were lost in this maze of palace halls for the past two days," snarls Luna as she stares him down. "Um well yeah I always have been a bit directionally challenged." "That's an understatement." "Then the cats in our prison must have been dummies planted by Alcyone to try and make us snap," says Mars. "They seemed real enough to my computer but then again I was kind of surprised my computer even worked in that cage. I bet Alcyone made my computer work as part of the spell on the cage," says Mercury as she flips open her computer for an inspection. "I better run a virus scan." "Can we go home now?" asks Sailor Moon with a yawn. "I can use a good nap and a pizza." "That goes ditto for me," says Venus as she slings Artemis over her shoulder. "Going home would be a good idea and the sooner the better," says Mercury as she looks up from her computer. "This place is beginning to become unstable." "Sailor teleport now girls," says Luna. "Mars Star Power!" "Jupiter Star Power!" "Mercury Star Power!" "Venus Star Power!" "Sirius Crystal Power!" "Moon Crystal Power!" Standing in their circle with hands held tight each girl is now surrounded in their aura's color of light. The tuxedos and cats hold on to each other for the ride as the last of the spell is shouted. "Sailor Teleport!" they all shout together and vanish in flashes of color and reappear on the temple grounds. With shouts of joy it becomes a hug fest, of which the guys just stand back and watch with goofy smiles on their faces. When they finally calm down, they drop their transformation and head off to the arcade for the biggest celebration party since graduation. ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** Once again thank you to all who have taken the time to read this story.
