It's set a year and a half after Sailor Stars and all the scouts are in
college, though different ones and are 19 while the Outers including Hotaru
(she grew after the final battle) are 20, Mamoru and Astrid are 21.   The
University I speak of is real and is in Paris and the program does exist
I'll be there this summer. All the character belong to the great Miss Naoko
except Astrid and the personality of the Gens and others I write about, they
are mine. This is a work in progress, so anything goes. Comments, ideas,

The Guardian: Chapter 1: I Dreamed a Dream

On a night like any other, the people of Tokyo slept unaware of the chain of
events that would help shape their future. Nestled in their beds, worlds
apart, two people, a young man and woman, dreamt similar dreams.

"Endymion, you must find the guardian, she will help you in the quest for
Crystal Tokyo"
The young man was Mamoru Chiba, AKA Tuxedo Kamen and startled by the use of
his alter ego's name, paid attention to the stranger's words.

"Find the Guardian of the Life, the Protector of Earth, she will need you as
much as you need her" repeated the voice

"The Guardian? You mean there is a Sailor Earth? Why don't I remember?  Who
are you? How will I find her?"

" Do not worry Prince, about the past, only learn from it, the worry is up
to me, it is my destiny. Only worry about finding her then your questions
will be answered?

"Pluto? Is that you? Why all the mystery? You have not even answered my
question how will I find this  ^Guardian^ "

"You two will find each other fate will see to that but the rest is up to
you." And with that she faded away

"PLUTO!! Wait!!

A young woman, no more than 20 walked through a corridor of endless doors,
made of the finest ebony wood, located in a hallway that gave the impression
you where walking on the stars themselves. The girl was of average height.
With a slight athletic build. She had thick chestnut colored hair mixed with
copper-colored highlights and her eyes where cerulean blue.
"Where am I? What kind of dream of this? It's the fourth time this week."

"  I am Sailor Pluto, Keeper of the Gate of Time and Space. I come to tell
you of your destiny, you are the one, The Guardian of Life, the Champion of
the Earth. You must seek the Senshi of the Solar System. You are the hope of
the world.

 " That's it, no more pizza with anchovies and pineapple after 2 A.M. I am
never eating that again!" said the girl aloud.

" This no fantasy Astrid. You must find the Senshi it is of the utmost
importance, You have the power inside you to help forge Crystal Tokyo. You
must find them and the protectors of the Prince of Earth, they will serve
you and the Prince."

" What!! Oh boy, this is some whacked out dream" Crystal Tokyo! Prince!"
"You must trust me Astrid. Do as I tell, please. When you reach Tokyo you
will see that this is no dream. You've always had power within you, known
you were special from that start. You have to learn to accept the powers you
have and use them to defend the world.

" I know, but why me, why not someone else, what make me so special?
" Who knows why the sky is blue not pink and the grass is green not gray or
purple? It is the way of chance, it is also not my place to tell you, and
the answers will come to you in time. Heed my warning my child, it is your
destiny."

Astrid woke with a start and did not sleep fore the rest of the night
pondering the words of the guardian of the gate of time. In the morning she
embarked on the fated voyage that Pluto spoke of. She was headed for a
yearlong exchange at the America University of Japan. She didn't know why
she chose to go there instead of the Paris branch, they had a great music
and medicine mayor and was not as far. Now that she thought about it, it
must be fate that she was getting the same dream for a week now and the
reason why she choose Tokyo was now becoming clear.

 Two days later

" Guardian of Earth? Luna I thought you said there was no Sailor Earth?

" I am just as puzzled as you Rei, Artemis and I don't remember her, but
Pluto certainly knows who she is, so I trust her judgement on this one.
Mamoru -san do you remember anything else?"

" No, just what I told you. What I can tell you is that I can feel that we
will meet her soon." As he said this he felt her presence get stronger, who
ever she was, had arrived and she had very strong powers.  "Rei why don't do
a fire reading on her now something tells me this is the time"

 "Sure. Lets move into the prayer room and concentrate all our energy on
it."

        Since the defeat of Galaxia almost two years ago the Senshi had
discovered new powers. They found it easier to channel their energy without
tiring them, along with the added bonus of telepathic abilities that made it
easier to communicate with each one. On the day of each of their 18th
birthdays they where presented with a gift from Pluto, their planet stones,
which augmented their powers tenfold and restored the los memories of the
Silver Millenium.
        Once inside the room the senshi, Ami, Minako, Makoto, Usagi, Haruka,
Michiru, Hotaru along with Mamoru the cats formed a circle around Rei and
the fire pit and one by one sent their chi to her revealing their planet
symbols.

" Oh great fire listen to our request and answer our questions about this
new warrior. Why has she been sent to us? Who is she?
         The fire roared and soared with great strength revealing cerulean
blue eyes full of power, caring and determination. Ever so slowly it began
to zoom out as her face was partially revealed. Next to her where four men,
quickly identified as Endymion's Generals, who looked protectively at her
and then at their respective past lover, Usagi's inner court. Then doing
something that had never happened before the fire spoke.

" Sailor Senshi, the Guardian will come at a time of rebirth, you must face
the past in order to gain the future. Trust with your hearts, not your eyes,
for they could be your end." And as quickly as it began it ended; leaving 8
people and two cats very confused.
        "A time of rebirth...."Said Rei
        " Face the past..." Said Makoto
" To gain the future," Said a voice from behind
" Pluto!?" exclaimed the surprised the group.
" Yes, it is me. You all know why I have come, and please call me Setsuna, I
want to be a bit more normal, and I am still your friend."
"What did the fire mean Setsuna-san."

" Exactly what it said Princess, we must fight the past, do not expect me to
tell you more, you know I can not reveal that information, I can not
interfere with the flow of time only guide it."
"Like you must, we understand, we are just glad you're here."
 "Thank you Luna."
*************************
Next day
        " Oh, I am gonna be so late, and on my first day! Stupid jet lag!"
        A blur of brown, black and green ran throughout the campus carefully
avoiding all the obstacle son her way until the sudden appearance of a
unsuspecting student got in her way.
        **Baamm*
" Oh my god, I am so sorry, I didn't see you there. Are you alright?"
        "Yeah I'm fine, in fact I quite used to that happening. Question is,
are you?"
        " Nothing wrong here. My name is Astrid Kelly. I'm new to the
school, as you can see. Can you help me find the Advanced Human Biology
Class?
        " Sure its right here, room 305. I'm in that class, I'm Mamoru
Chiba" ~ I feel something weird about her, like I know her or something. ~
"Nice to meet Mamoru-san."
"Nice to meet you too."
The shook hands and began talking about each o other and the reason s why
they chose medicine as their mayor. Astrid could not help but feel as if she
knew this young man.
**Ring**
"Oh no we're late!!"
 As the pair ran into the building barely making it on time a connection was
made. A Prince and his protector were as they should be.
        Off in the distance two figures watched as Mamoru and Astrid ran
into the classroom. The one on the right, a blond-haired man with a ponytail
and hunter green eyes spoke to his friend.
 " She has finally arrived come to us Kyle. Maybe now we can take our place
next to our prince." And I can be with Ami, he thought.
        "The other man, who stood an imposing 5'11 with long silver-white
blond hair and piercing steel blue eyes looked in friend in sympathy,
knowing he mirrored his feelings.
                 Minako, he sighed" Maybe Zack. Maybe, I just hope they
understand what happened"
        " Me too Kyle, me too."

        Later that day two very dejected and baffled students walked out of
the building.
        " Genetics, sheesh, I rue the day I ever chose that class, I swear
the professor wasn't even speaking Japanese, or any other human language"
        " I know how you feel, and so did every one in that classroom. A few
of the terms where lost on me too."
         "I know, why don't we form a study group, I know my friend Motoki
would be interested and know the perfect person to help us. She's a friend
of my girlfriend Usagi, a real genius, plus she also a med. student, just in
another school."
        "But if she's not in our class how can she help, plus you told me
she's only 19 we're about 2 years ahead."
         "Don't worry, like said she's a genius, sure she's younger than us
but trust me, she is more than capable to help us. Meet me at 4 at the Crown
Game Center"
"Ok, I see you there, I got to go to my next class, Bye"
As Astrid walked away, Mamoru was left to ponder Setsuna's words "You two
will find each other, fate will see to that. The rest is up to you."  "I
wonder if she is the one."

Deep in the ancient caverns of the Earth, and old foe stirred and felt the
power of the bond beginning to form between the prince and his protector. It
was strong, stronger than anything she had ever felt. May be this was the
chance to take that power and use it for her favor, maybe she could regain
all she had lost and get her revenge.

"Welcome students, I am Professor Isabel Barret. This is Contemporary World
History. We will focus on our times beginning with the Cold War, and the
ideological struggle of the Nations of Europe Us and Asia, We are going to
examine the different nations and the influence of super-powers, events
through the collapse of the former USSR...."The teacher went on with her
endless ramble, as the students slowly shifted and accommodated themselves
for along and boring class and a resounding groan was heard.
        "Fun"
        "What?"
        "I said, this going to fun huh."
        "Yep loads of it, I'm literally jumping for joy. I though this class
was going to be fun but by the looks of it with the teacher still on the
same sentence about the Cold War, it seems this is going to be a long year."
        " I know what you mean, eighty percent of the class is already dead
to the world. I'm Zachary Bryant and the corpse next to me is my friend Jake
Wilson."
         " Very funny Zack. Like he said the names Jake"
        "Astrid Kelly"
        "We know who you are, Sailor Earth"
