(*disclaimer* No, the neither the Project A-ko or the Sailor Moon characters belong to me... *sigh* what a pity.... ^_^) ______________________________________________________________________ Princess Serenity grabbed a large suit case from her closet. She opened it up and carefully packed it full of her clothes, at least the ones that were suitable to wear while she lived on earth. Then she went back over to the closet and grabbed a smaller suit case and filled it full of baby clothes. She walked over to a beautiful white lace baby cradle and looked inside to check on her daughter, Chibi-Usa. She was sound asleep. Princess Serenity glanced at the clock on the wall, it read 8:30. 'I'd better hurry up!' she thought. She grabbed her favorite stuffed bunny and three of Chibi-Usa's favorite stuffed animals, along with diapers, rattles, wipes, and other things and put them in a duffel bag. 'There, I'm done. Now all I have to do is sneak out with all of these things.' She decided that she'd first bring the bags down, then go back for her daughter. She grabbed both the suit cases and the duffel bag. It would be awfully hard getting down the stairs with all this stuff, but she was determined. After dropping her stuff off at the edge of the palace driveway, she started back for Chibi-Usa. She quietly snuck up to her room and grabbed the cradle by its handles. She wasn't quite sure were Luna was, and she was afraid she would pop up somewhere. She took the basket and tip-toed down the stairs, the last thing she wanted was for Chibi-Usa to wake up and start crying. Once out of the building, she ran down the driveway, trying not to jostle the small child around. As she neared the end, she saw a tall figure. Was it Mamoru, or did someone else find out her plans? As the figure came into view, she saw who it was. "Mamo-chan!" she shouted, running to him and setting the carriage down carefully before jumping into his arms. It was only a quick embrace, but it was enough for now. "We must be going. Come now," he told her, picking up the two suit cases and the one he had brought. Princess Serenity grabbed the baby carriage and the duffel bag, and soon enough they were on there way. ***** "Oh, Mamo-chan, this place, Tokyo, is beautiful!" Usagi exclaimed. Her and Chibi-Usa's crescent moons had disappeared, those were only present while they were on the moon, since it was the trademark of the royal family. They had just gotten to the city and were wandering the streets, looking for a place to stay that hopefully wouldn't cost too much. Between them, they only had $500 (yeah, I know it seems like a lot, but they *are* royalty, after all). Luckily, Chibi-Usa hadn't woken up yet. And, apparently, the two of them fit in just fine. They only odd stares they got were because of Usagi's hairstyle. They walked a little futher and saw a sign, it said: Muyoko Apartments. "Let's try this place," Mamoru suggested, pointing to the building. Usagi nodded yes, and Mamoru opened the door for her. They stepped inside and Mamoru walked over to the office door. "Wait," Usagi said. Mamoru turned around and gave her a funny look, "our names. Usagi, Mamoru, and Chibi-Usa don't fit in here, we need different ones." Mamoru thought a minute, then nodded his head "I know!" Usagi finally shouted. She remembered that while there were walking she had heard she people talking, one's name was Mr. Darian. "Your name can be Darien!" Usagi smiled, and Mamoru excepted his new name. Darien thought a minute, he wanted Usagi to have a beautiful name, like the one she had now. Usagi was so beautiful, so serene.... serene! That was it! Not serene exactly, but Serena. It was a beautiful name. "Usagi, I've thought of a name for you. How about Serena?" Darien told her proudly. "It sounds like Serenity!" Usagi said, making a face. She saw a disappointed look on Darien's face. She sighed. "Okay, okay, I guess Serena's all right." Darien smiled. "But what about Chibi-Usa?" She looked down at the sleeping baby. "Rena?" Serena asked. Darien shook his head. "Um.. Reeny?" They both smiled. That was the name. Reeny. Darien knocked on the office door. "Come in," said a voice. It was a deep, man's voice. Darien walked in and set the three suit cases down. Serena meekly followed him in. "What would you like, son?" "I'd like to rent an apartment," Darien told him. "How much do the cheapest two bedroom apartments cost?" The man looked at Darien, then at Serena. He noticed the cradle she was carrying. "A two bedroom apartment is $350 a month." They could afford that. "Okay, we'll take it!" Darien said, taking out his wallet. The man looked a little surprised at Darien's actions. "Well, young man, I'll need your names first," the man spoke. "My name's... Darien. And this is Serena," he pointed to the blonde haired girl standing by the door. "And that's Reeny." Darien pointed to the small child in the basket. The man nodded his head and Darien gave him the money. "Here's your apartment," the man told them, opening the door. Serena's eyes lit up. "Oh, it's wonderful!" she exclaimed. I was small, yet spacious. And it was decorated beautifully, plus, there was a balcony. ***** "Wake up, sleepyhead!" Darien said as he nudged the sleeping Serena next to him. "You're going to be late, Meatball Head!" Serena's eyes popped open. "Late?! I can't be late, it's the first day of school!" she jumped out of bed and put on the uniform that her school provided with. "Bye, Sweetie!" She gave Darien a quick kiss and then jolted into her daughter's room to give her a good-bye kiss before running out the door. She ran into the kitchen and grabbed a piece of toast; then took her bookbag and left. Serena ran as fast as she could down the sidewalk. "Excuse me! Sorry!" she shouted, pushing people out of the way. Then, "Uph!" Someone had run into her and knocked the wind right out of her. "Hey, watch it!" Serena turned around and saw a red head and a little girl with short blonde hair; they were wearing the same school uniform as her. "Gee, I'm sorry, but we're majorly late for school!" the red head told her. "By the way, my name's A-ko." "And I'm C-ko!" the little blonde haired said cheerfully, waving. "I'm Serena. Looks like we go to the same school, eh?" Serena pointed out, smiling. "Yeah, now we better get going!" A-ko said, grabbing C-ko and Serena's hands. A-ko bolted off with the two girls flying behind her. "What homeroom teacher do you have?" C-ko asked. "We both have Ms. Ayumi." Serena thought a minute, then replied, "I have Ms. Haruna." They stopped at the gate. "Well, I'll see you later, A-ko and C-ko!" Then Serena ran off towards her homeroom, as did A-ko and C-ko. Serena silently tried to sneak into class, but to no avail. "Excuse me, young lady, may I have your name please?" Ms. Haruna asked, noticing the late student walk in. "That's a bad start, you know. Being late for school on the first day." Serena looked up. "I'm sorry, Miss. I'll try not to let it happen ever again. My name is.... Serena," she told her teacher, almost forgetting her new name. "Ah, yes, here you are. Serena Tsukino, correct?" Ms. Haruna replied. "Take a seat, please. Serena chose a seat and sat down. That day she didn't really pay any attention; she hated leaving Chibi-Usa at home, even with Darien there to watch over her. She was so young, only three months. "Serena, pay attention! What's so important that you can't listen to me?" Ms. Haruna yelled, yanking Serena from her worried thoughts. "Huh? Oh. Je regrette madamoiselle, mais..." wait a second, she wasn't supposed to be speaking french! Serena blushed, everyone was staring at her. "Oops. I'm so sorry, Miss, but I was thinking of someone very important." "And who is this very important person? Your boyfriend?" Ms. Haruna asked sarcastically. Serena got angry at this remark. She didn't want to tell people that she had a daughter, but if it would get this teacher off her back she was going to. "No, ma'am," Serena said angrily, getting up from her seat. The teacher, and all of the students, had surprised looks on their faces, "if you must know, I was thinking about my... my..." "Your what, young lady? And in this school we stay seated!" Ms. Haruna interrupted. "Ahh!" Serena screamed, catching everyone off guard. "My daughter!" Serena stormed out of the room; everyone's jaws dropped open. No one had expected her to say that. Ms. Haruna ran out of the room after her, and grabbed her arm. "Serena, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to embarrass you," Ms. Haruna said, holding Serena's arm. Serena turned around, her eyes red and puffy from crying. "Well, you did!" Serena replied harshly, trying her best to hold back her tears. "Now, if you don't mind, I'll be going back home now!" Serena tried to yank her arm away, but Ms. Haruna held on tightly. "I won't allow you to go home. Who is watching the child?" Ms. Haruna asked softly. "Her father," Serena replied. She noticed her classmates watching them from the doorway. Ms. Haruna was relieved that the child's father was taking responsibility for his actions and hadn't left Serena alone with the infant. "Serena, if you'd like to bring your daughter to school tomorrow, it's all right with me," Ms. Haruna suggested. Serena's eyes lit up. "Really? I can?" Serena asked happily. Ms. Haruna nodded her head. "Let's go back to class now, I have an announcement," Ms. Haruna said, walking back towards the classroom door. Serena agreed and followed her back. "all right, now that we've gotten that ordeal out of the way, I've got an announcement. Tomorrow will be the first day of spirit week!" Everyone stared to talk; apparently this was a special week. "Shh.., quiet down, class. Tomorrow you will be able to dress up like anyone you want. Try not to make to scary, though. We'll be having a visitor." Ms. Haruna smiled at Serena. ***** "Hey, Serena, we heard about what happened in your class today," C-ko told her as they were walking home from school. "The whole school knows," Serena replied, sighing. "Hey, would you guys like to come to my place?" "Sure," A-ko said. "We'd be delighted to come!" A-ko so much wanted to meet Darien and Reeny. When they got to Serena's apartment she opened the door and ushered her newfound friends in. "Darien!?" Serena called, shutting the door. She could hear some noise coming from the kitchen so she walked towards it. "Yes? I'm in the kitchen feeding Chi-" Darien got cut off when Serena ran into the room "Not those names, dear. I have friends over," she told him quietly. "Oh.. Here, take Reeny and I'll go wash my hands. I'll be right in," Darien replied, giving Serena a quick kiss before he handed her the infant and rushed towards their small bathroom. Serena took Reeny and headed towards the living room. "Oh, she's adorable!" A-ko and C-ko exclaimed in unison. Serena sat down on the couch, and A-ko and C-ko sat next to her. Then Darien walked into the room, nodding a greeting to the two girls, and sat beside his beloved and his daughter. After A-ko and C-ko had left, Serena explained what had happened in school that day. He agreed, with a sigh, that he'd drive her to school and help her with Renny's stuff. ***** Serena was up early the next morning. She decided to dress up as her former self, Princess Serenity. She put on her dress, and used some yellow eye-liner (please, don't ask me where she got it!) to make the crescent moon on her forehead. It wasn't perfect, but she almost fooled herself! "Come on, time to go!" Serena announced happily. Darien was suprised at how ready she was. He wasn't really fond of the idea that she was going as herself, but she had kept telling him to relax until he finally gave up. Serena dressed Reeny in her best clothes; they were two princesses. 'The most beautiful princesses ever,' Darien thought to himself with a smile as he carried Renny's stuff out to the van that he had rented. Serena strapped Reeny into her car seat, then got into the passenger seat next to Darien. Serena cautiously walked into school carrying Reeny's diaper bag. Darien was next to her carrying Reeny in her basket. People were dressed up as all sort of things, Darien observed as he walked beside Serena. There were astronauts, ninjas, and a couple other Princess Serenitys, which made Darien chuckle inwardly. Serena and Darien got a few odd looks, mainly because of Reeny and Serena's resemblance to the "real" Moon Princess. Only she and Darien knew the truth, and that's the way they had vowed it to stay. Not even Reeny would know her real past. "Serena, I'm so glad you decided to bring her today!" Ms. Haruna exclaimed, walking over to her and peering into the basket that Darien held. "Would you please introduce me? And that costume looks wonderful! If I didn't know any better, I'd think you really were Princess Serenity." "Thank you," Serena replied, holding Darien's hand in hers. "This is Darien, Reeny's father. And this is Reeny." Serena picked Reeny up out of her basket and held her caringly in her arms. "She's three months old." Darien set Reeny's basket down and shook Ms. Haruna's hand. She looked at the three of them and thought, 'he's a little old for her.' She didn't want to say anything, though. And, plus, the bell had just rung for class to begin. Serena had coaxed Darien into staying, so he sat in a desk next to her, and Reeny was in between them. Darien got a few dreamy stares from some of the girls sitting near by, but didn't pay much attention to them. All in all, the day was a good one. ~end part 6~ Okay, there you go. Part 6!
