Send all flames, comments, praise, etc. to: charlyne@hotmail.com Okay, read on!! Oo... wonder what'll happen.... ______________________________________________________________________ A sudden knock on the door startled Reeny and she shot up in bed. She walked silently out of her room, grabbed a stool from the kitchen, walked over to the front door, and looked out into the hall through the peek hole. Through the hole, she saw an older woman with white hair done up just like her mother's. Reeny hopped down from the stool and opened the door a crack. "Yes? What do you want?" Reeny asked. She knew she wasn't supposed to open the door for strangers, but her parents were home. They were asleep in the bedroom down the hall. "Hi, Sweetie!" the Queen exclaimed, seeing who she identified as her granddaughter. "I need to talk to Serena, your mother." "Um, I guess so. Sure," Reeny told the Queen, letting her in. "Mommy and Daddy are sleeping. Their room in down the hall." She pointed to the door. The Queen patted Reeny on the head and began walking towards her daughter's room. Once in the room, she flipped on the lights, waking Serena and Darien. "Wha-!? Darien, haven't you forgot that I all ready graduated high school? Go back to bed!" Serena shouted. "Dear, um, it wasn't me. Or Reeny," Darien replied. Serena opened her eyes and sat up. Her vision, at first, was blurry, but it soon cleared. "Mom!" Serena gaped, seeing the Queen standing by the door. "Yes, daughter, I've finally found you. I've been looking for you for five years, and now I've found you!" the Queen said, bursting into tears. Serena got out of bed and ran to her mother, trying to comfort her. "Mom, it's okay. Please, don't cry," Serena coaxed. Reeny, who had been watching from the hall, decided that she needed to know what was up. "Mommy. Daddy. What's going on?" she asked quizzically. Reeny walked past her mother and the strange woman and stood next to her father. "Daddy, why is that lady crying?" Darien hugged his daughter, "Reeny," Darien began, "that lady is your grandmother." Reeny didn't understand. "What do you mean? I thought you and Mommy ran away. You said no one would find us," Reeny said, staring at the woman. "Reeny, dear," Serena called, "will you come here, please?" Reeny walked over to her mother. "Yes, Mommy?" Reeny asked. Serena brought her daughter close and hugged her. "Darien is right. This is your Grandma," Serena whispered into Reeny's ear. "My Grandma? But you said..." Reeny began, but Serena put her hand over the little girl's mouth. Reeny stopped talking and shrugged. Serena removed her hand from Reeny's mouth. Reeny smiled started talking again, this time to Queen Serenity. "Grandma..." "Yes, Chibi-Usa?" Queen Serenity asked. "There's that name again! My name is _not_ Chibi-Usa, it's Reeny!!" Reeny yelled, startling everyone. "Reeny, how dare you shout at your Grandmother like that! Go to your room!" Darien shouted harshly at his daughter. Reeny crossed her arms and shook her head. "What do you mean, 'No'!?" Darien sounded furious. "Hunny, calm down!" Serena said, letting go of her mother and daughter and walking to Dairen's side. "And, Reeny, you listen to your father!" Serena looked at her daughter angrily. Reeny's eyes filled with tears and she started to cry. The Queen hugged her granddaughter. "Usagi, I'm suprized at you! I didn't think you'd yell at your daughter like that. She's only a child, you know. You were just like her when you were little," Queen Serenity replied, looking at her daughter. She then changed the subject. "So, Minako told me that you two are to be wed, correct?" "Yes, Mum, Darien and I are going to be married this summer. In July," Serena explained, lacing the fingers on her right hand with his fingers. "Well, let me see the ring!" the Queen exclaimed. Everyone was surprised at the Queen's enthusiasm.. Serena stuck out her hand, still holding on to Darien with the other. As the Queen examined the ring her eyes widened. "It's beautiful! But, Mamoru, where did you get the money to pay for this?" " I've been saving for a long time, even before Serena and I came here," Darien explained. "It was very expensive, but Serena was well worth it." He smiled at his fianc饮 "Mother, what ever happened to that Seiya boy I was supposed to marry?" Serena asked; she would never forget that day. "Oh, he married Teerahe, your cousin. Do you remember her?" the Queen replied. Serena thought a moment, "Yes, I do! She's the one with the long purple hair, ne? I never really liked her. Do they have any children?" "Yes, I believe they do. A daughter and a new born son.," the Queen told her. "Well, that's nice," Serena added, then she looked around at her family. Her mother, her fianc鬠and her daughter. Was living here in Tokyo really the right thing to be doing? "Darien, can we talk a moment, please?" "Sure, Serena, what is it?" Darien asked, allowing Serena to pull him to the other side of the room. "I think we should go back," Serena blurted out. "Mother can help us, and everyone misses us. Oh, please, Darien!?" Serena's eyes filled with tears. "Serena, I love you with all the my heart, and I love our daughter," Darien began; he hugged Serena, "and I'd be happy to join you on the Moon Kingdom." Serena smiled and hugged him back, then they walked back over to Reeny and Queen Serenity. "Mother, can we come back?" Serena asked hopefully. Her mother looked so happy when she said that, Serena couldn't help but feel a ray of hope. "Oh, my daughter, of course you can!" the Queen replied, "but none of these earth names, you hear? Back to Usagi, Mamoru, and Chibi-Usa, okay?" "Sure, mom, but it will take so long to move all our stuff. And we'll need our own house, or a big enough room to be like a house," Serena explained. Her mother nodded her head happily. "Don't worry about moving your things, dear, they will be transported with us," Queen Serenity said, then, with a snap of her fingers, they were back in the castle. Reeny looked about, wide-eyed and amazed. "Mommy, it's so beautiful, why did you ever leave?" Reeny asked. "Chibi-Usa, maybe someday I'll explain it to you. When you're older, "Usagi told her, Chibi-Usa just shrugged. They were in a gorgeous room that was connected to the main castle, and their belongings were placed in the perfect spots. There were three bedrooms. 'I hope mother doesn't expect Mamo-chan and me to sleep in different rooms,' Usagi thought. Her mother seemed to have read her mind. "That room is for guests, or another child," Queen Serenity said. Usagi smiled and hugged her mother, blushing slightly over a small secret she has yet to tell Mamoru. Noticing the small coloring on Usagi's cheeks, Mamoru inquired, "all right, what is it? What's your secret?" He grinned, seeing Usagi fiddle with her sleeve. "Well, uh, it's just that, um," Usagi walked over to Mamoru, gave him a hug and kiss, then whispered in his ear, "I'm going to have another baby." "What!? Really? I can't believe it! This is wonderful, my love!" Darien exclaimed, picking Usagi up and twirling her around in a circle. Usagi smiled, "I love you, Mamo-chan." She whispered. "I love you too, my odango atama," Mamoru whispered back. This time it would be better, this time she wouldn't mess up. Usagi knew that her mother truly understood how much her and Mamoru cared for each other. ~The End~ Well, I know it took a long time, but what did you think of it? Like it, hate it, so-so? I love to hear your comments!! See you around!!!
