Chapter 5

Event 5D:  Fight The Fear, Claribel

	I sweat in the absence of heat and I'm turning blue in the presence of oxygen.  My tummy is hurting me and I can't get enough air.  Cereberus, why aren't you here?  I hear squeaks and other sounds all around me.  What if a pedophile or mugger tries to jump me?  I can't even defend myself because I don't have my transformation ring!!!!  It would serve me right if Lieutenant Caballero spanked me for doing something stupid like this.  Dark alleys and big buildings are to my right; the street is to my left.  It's scary out here, but I must never forget that I'm out here to find my papa Kerwin.  Now where is Del Trabajador Enterprises?  I come to an intersection.  Do I turn left here?  Do I turn right here?  Or do I go straight?  Oh, no; I'm starting to get a headache!!!  I decide to head straight across the street without turning.  I hear a loud screech and then honking. "Hey, watch where you're walking!!!!"  someone screamed at me.  I whip around to face the source of the voice and pee in my pants when I find a very angry red-headed young woman with brown eyes standing over me.  "You must be Claribel Mei'ou."

	"Yes, I am," I told the young woman.

	"My name is Cherry Chase," the young woman told me. "Claribel, you're going to get hit by a car and be hurt very badly if you insist on walking into the street without looking first."

	"I'm sorry, Cherry," I apologized.  "I'm trying to find my papa."

	"Claribel, you shouldn't be out here by yourself," Cherry scolded me as she takes me by the hand and escorts me over to her car.  Once seated and belted down inside the car, Cherry remarks, "Claribel, you look sick; I'm going to take you home.  Where do you live?"  Ack!!!  I don't want to go home; I want to find my papa!!

	"Cherry, I want to go to Del Trabajador Enterprises," I said firmly.

	"Claribel, your mom is probably worried sick about you," Cherry insisted as she starts the car.  "There's no telling what you may have caught running around in the night air."  A pause.  "Okay, Claribel.  I have to deliver some documents to your dad and I'll drop you off on the way."
