Incident 6F-4 Saddened at the apparent failure of my plan, I retire back to bed. At least I can sleep soundly knowing that at least I tried to protect Cecelia. I don't know why parents spank their kids. It ruins the parent-child relationship and for children like Cecelia and me, it isn't much of a punishment but an indicator that we need to try harder not to get caught or have someone with us to take the fall for us next time. Boy, am I scared about today's operation. I'm also extremely hungry and thirsty. A couple of hours later, I wake up to a team of nurses standing over me. "Wha . . . wha . . . what's going on!??!!?" I asked, bewildered. "Where's Nurse Tomoe!?!?" "She has other duties to attend to and asked us to take you to surgery," the lead nurse replied. "Nurse Tomoe also told us about you, Claribel Mei'ou. Try anything funny and you'll find yourself so full of sedatives that you'll be wondering what happened to you." I gulp nervously; I could tell that this nurse means every word she said and is fully capable and willing to make good on her promise. Sharon and Kerwin show up as they said they would and notice me as stiff as a board on the cart. In the operating room, I meet the surgeon and his team while the nurses give me several shots and talk softly to me to get me to relax and not be so scared. Then the anaesthetist places a mask on my face and tells me to breathe deeply. Pretty soon, all is black . . .
