Arabian Knights, Part 2 by Chibi Chibi Chibi Rating: PG Hey there, everyone! I would like to think everyone who has e-mailed me. You guys are great! I would also like to thank Sailor M and Professor Tomoe and Luna and Naoko WannaB and the real Naoko Takeuchi herself, without whom I could 'not' have done this! Thanks guys! You're wonderful! I'd also like to thank Chibi Pluto and Chibi Moon for their support, and I'd like to thank Alicia Blade for her wonderful stories (they help me get through my writer's block). And lastly, thank you to everyone who reads my story. Disclaimer: I do not own Sailormoon or any of the characters in this story (except one character, who I'll specify at the end of the story so I won't give it away to you). I know, it's a boring disclaimer. I didn't have any time to come up with something clever to say. Sorry. ~*~*~ Kino Makoto sat at the ice cream booth alone, watching the guy a couple of booths down. *He sure is cute. In fact, he looks 'exactly' like my sempai! Except I bet he's 'way' cooler, 'cause Freddie dumped me.* She frowned, noticing a pretty, raven-haired girl about Makoto's age sitting down at the booth with him and began talking with him. Sighing, Makoto decided to look around for any other cute guys in the ice cream shop. There was a cute blonde a couple of tables down from her, and she could see the reflection of a cute brunette in the window. Unfortunately, 'they' both had girlfriends, too, Makoto noticed, as a girl sat down at the table with each of them, pecking them on the cheek before they began to talk. Makoto sighed again and stood up. She didn't know why she was here, anyways. She hadn't ordered any ice cream, and she hadn't even found any cute available guys. *Maybe next time...* she thought. 'That' was what kept her coming here. Every day. She'd seen a couple of the guys before, but she kept coming back, hoping that they'd clued in and dumped their girlfriends. Makoto walked out of the shop and headed down the sidewalk, not sure of where she was going. The arcade would be nice. Motoki would be there; maybe he'd dumped Reika since she'd last seen him. *I doubt it, since that was yesterday,* she thought, but she headed there anyway. When she walked in the arcade, she noticed a disturbing noise coming from one of the arcades. Tsukino Usagi, one of Makoto's best friends, was trying to beat her old record on the latest Sailor V game. She was quite a sight- her tongue was hanging out of her mouth (hey- was that drool coming from it?...) and she was furiously pushing all of the buttons at once in an attempt to destroy a hideous monster. Laughing, Makoto approached Usagi, waiting for the game to be over before she spoke. "New record, Usagi?" asked Makoto with a smile. Usagi frowned and shook her head. "I don't know what's wrong with me, Mako. I haven't set a record in a whole week!" To Usagi, a week was a long time to not set a record- especially since most of her week was spent here. "Maybe next time." Makoto smiled. "Hey, you haven't happened to see Motoki today?" she asked. "Yes, but he hasn't dumped Reika. I already asked." Usagi sighed dejectedly and threw another quarter into the slot for the Sailor V game. Makoto sighed, too, and decided to leave. She didn't want to disturb Usagi, and there was no real purpose in being at the arcade if she couldn't flirt with Motoki. As she left, she noticed a really cute guy walking into the music store across the street. She sighed again, this time with a faraway look in her eyes, and followed him inside the shop. ~*~*~ Alecto smiled as she watched the battle through the crystal ball. Magaera and her forces had captured several of the black crystals from the Dark Moon already with no resistance, and Alecto had begun to wonder if the Sailor Senshi were just a legend. But they had shown up right as Magaera had found the last of the crystals making up the Tsuki no Kuraishou, the Dark Moon Crystal. *How foolish were the earlier warriors of the Dark Moon! They left the crystals after every battle, failing to see that a greater power yet could be harnessed!* (AN: the crystals she is speaking about are the black crystals that fell onto the pile of "moondust" after the youma die in each battle during the Dark Moon series) The Senshi were doing pitifully. Alecto laughed. No, Magaera was not one to underestimate the enemy. It was for that very reason Alecto had allowed her to be the first to search for the crystals. Despite the lack of resistance from the Senshi in the beginning, Magaera had kept her army of five of the Dark Moon's strongest lieutenants and a dozen of its strongest youmas with her, knowing that the Senshi could appear at any time. And, indeed, they had. The Senshi had awakened. ~*~*~ "Ai to seigino Sailor-fuku BISHOUJO SENSHI SAILOR MOON! Tsuki ni kawatte oshiokiyo!" (For love and justice, I am the beautiful sailor-suited soldier Sailor Moon! In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!) Magaera glanced up from where she knelt, beckoning the powers of the Dark Moon to rise from the ground. "So 'you' are the legendary Sailor Senshi," she said with a sneer. "Cute. You're just little girls." *Enough of the chit-chat, Magaera. Look where that got everyone else. Don't underestimate them- they've taken down some pretty formidable opponents. Whatever you do, don't introduce yourself, and don't tell them anything about your task. The less they know, the harder it will be to stop us,* Magaera thought. Smiling, Magaera beckoned the warriors and youmas to attack. Caught offguard, the senshi frantically tried to fight back, but they were falling one by one, exhausted, but thankfully alive. Desperately, Sailormoon struggled to stand, but fell to her knees. The lieutenants and half the youma remained. Sailorsaturn was looking to Sailormoon, ready to repeat the destruction she had caused so long ago. *Kami, what am I going to do?* Sailormoon asked desperately. "Star...trio...hypnotize!" A shower of silver arrows pierced the hearts of each of the remaining youma. The warriors called on their powers to attack, but were stopped by a shower of roses of seven different colors- red, orange, green, dark green, sea green, blue, and purple. Angrily, the lieutenants called upon their powers again to attack the newcomers, only to be stopped this time by Magaera. "Come, lieutenants. We already have what we want." Magaera smiled, holding the last crystal, as she vanished into thin air. ~*~*~ A few moments later, the senshi stood with renewed strength, shocked at all that had happened. Only that day had they been awakened, and already they were at war with the forces of the Nega-verse. "Who were they?" asked Sailorjupiter. "I'm not sure," replied Sailorpluto, "but I think I saw the symbol of the Dark Moon on her forehead." "Who were those hunky guys that came and saved us?" asked Sailormoon, referring to the Senshi's saviors, who had mysteriously disappeared just as Magaera left. "I don't know," replied Sailoruranus. "But wasn't the one that threw the blue roses the cutest?" "No, the three that threw the arrows were definitely cuter," corrected Sailormoon. "Well, personally, I liked the one that threw the green roses. He looks 'just' like my sempai!" declared Sailorjupiter. Sailormoon burst out laughing, but none of the other senshi joined her. She stopped suddenly, realizing she was the only one laughing. "I know who you are," she said sheepishly. "You must be Makoto!" Sailorjupiter laughed nervously. "Whatever would make you think that?" "Would your sempai happen to be named Freddie? Come on, Makoto. You think 'every' guy looks like your sempai! Besides, you 'look' the same as Makoto." "Well, I guess, since you guys are on my side..." Sailorjupiter detransformed into Makoto. "So...who are you? You must know me well enough to be able to tell who I was." "Uh...well...you see..." Sailormoon paced nervously. *Should I tell them?* Suddenly, she had one of her klutz attacks, and fell to the ground, spewing tears everywhere. "Shouldn't be hard to figure out 'your' real identity, 'Usagi,'" said Sailormars. "What? How'd you know?" asked Sailormoon, pouting. Sailormars rolled her eyes. "Lucky guess." The two stuck their tongues out at each other, crossing their arms angrily. "Well, 'Rei,' you don't make it any harder to guess," called a now detransformed Usagi furiously. Rei, now detransformed, stuck her tongue out once again at Usagi. "Why don't the rest of us just detransform?" said a clearly upset Sailorpluto (she had a sweatdrop on her forehead). They did, revealing Meiou Setsuna as Sailorpluto, Tenou Haruka as Sailoruranus, Kaioh Michiru as Sailorneptune, and Tomoe Hotaru as Sailorsaturn. (AN: but you already knew that) "What do we do now?" asked Hotaru quietly. There was silence for a few moments as everyone tried to come up with a plan. "I think we need to find the other senshi and awaken them," replied Setsuna. "What? Aren't we all awakened?" asked Usagi. "Not all of us. I remember two other senshi." Setsuna explained. "But where do we find them?" asked Michiru. "You don't," said a voice, thick with an English accent. (AN: I 'know,' I seriously doubt that very many people with English accents go running around Japan, but it could happen...) The girls turned around, expecting to see one of the two missing senshi. They, unfortunately, were looking too high. Usagi screamed when she saw her cat standing in the middle of the alley, 'talking.' "Um... Fifi, shouldn't you be at home?" she asked in a hoarse whisper. "LUNA!!!! MY NAME IS 'LUNA'!!!!!!! LU-NA!!!!!!!!" screamed the cat, angrily. "Sorry, Usagi, but I've been wanting to do that for a very long time. Hmm. Well. Ahem." Usagi looked at the cat warily, her face pale. "Y-you can t-ta-talk?" she choked out. The cat nodded as if it were the most normal thing to do, and began to speak some more. "As I was saying, you are not expected to find the missing senshi. Central Control just informed me that they will find us. They have stated that at the moment both are a bit busy fighting evil, so we must wait for them..." ~*~*~ Minako sat down at the desk again, trying to concentrate on her essay, but she couldn't focus. Artemis sat on the floor by her chair, ready to jump into her lap. Minako laughed and lifted him up. "Oh, Artemis, this is 'so' 'boring'!" The white cat only purred, looking up into her eyes curiously. "Why don't you write it for me, huh?" She stroked the cat absently, thinking of her friends in Tokyo. "I bet Usagi's not working on 'her' homework now!" Minako stood up, knocking Artemis off her lap. "Watch out!" Minako heard the male voice and looked around, startled. No one was in the room but Artemis. She shook her head, thinking she was crazy. *A talking cat? Yeah, right! Get a grip, Minako!* "Aren't you supposed to be doing your homework?" Minako stared at Artemis, sure that was where the voice had come from, but not believing. "A-Artemis?" Minako's voice was shaky. "Is that you?" To her amazement, Artemis spoke up. "Yeah. I figured I'd slip eventually. It's not easy being quiet for that long. I'd like to see 'you' try it!" Minako stood speechless, and Artemis continued when he realized she wouldn't respond. "I suppose I should tell you." He did a somersault and a small compact shaped like a crescent moon appeared. "This is your Crescent Moon compact. You use it to transform into Sailor V and to attack evil." Minako gasped. When she spoke, it was in a small, squeaky voice. "Me? I'm Sailor V?!? 'The' Sailor V?" Artemis had to laugh at the expression on Minako's face. It was one of shock, disbelief, and excitement. "Go ahead, if you don't believe me. Transform." "Moon, Power, TRANSFORM!" Minako held out her compact and in a swirl of red, her school uniform changed into a sailor outfit of red, white, and blue with a 'really' short skirt. "Code name: Sailor V! The soldier of justice! The sailor-suited beautiful soldier, Sailor Venus." "So... what am I supposed to do?" she asked, looking at herself warily in the full length mirror on her door. She fingered the Crescent Moon compact gingerly, afraid she would break it or use it wrong. "Umm, you're Sailor V..." said Artemis. "You go and fight bad guys and stuff..." Sailor V rolled her eyes. "I know 'that,' but, like, how am I supposed to know 'when' to fight bad guys and stuff?" Artemis, not sure how to answer the question, merely replied, "You will know." He sure hoped he was right. Just then, an ugly, green, slimy youma came crashing into Minako's dorm room. Sailor V screamed. Thinking quick, Artemis began to call out instructions. "Use your Crescent Shower!!" "Crescent Shower? What Crescent Shower?" shrieked the superhero. "Just say it!" Artemis ordered. "Crescent Shower!" Sailor V shouted obediently. The energy shot from her fingers, and the youma began to melt as the crescents hit him. Still shaking, Sailor V detransformed. She shook her head. "I- I think I'll be able to figure out when I'm needed from now on. Don't worry about that..." ~*~*~ Ami sat down at the desk and opened her calculus book. Taking out a piece of paper, she began to work one of the problems. Just as she was writing down the answer, she heard the telephone ring. At first she ignored it, but then realized that it must be important, because she had only given her number to the headmaster for emergencies. She walked to the phone and lifted it from the cradle. "Hello? Ami Mizuno speaking." "Konichiwa, Ami." Ami gasped at the sound of the voice. She hadn't heard a word of Japanese the whole time she'd been here, and truthfully, hearing a single Japanese word made Ami's heart soar, for it reminded her of home. *But I must remain focused on my work here,* she told herself. "Guten Tag." Ami winced at the coldness in her own voice. She hadn't meant to sound so harsh, but she wanted to make it clear that she wanted to speak in German. "Um...guten tag, Ami. Erinnern Sie sich an mich?" (Do you remember me?) "Ryo Urawa?" "Ja. But can we speak in German? I must stay focused on my studies." "Sure. What's up?" "I was in the middle of my calculus homework," she said pointedly. "I'm sorry, Ami, but I had to call." Ami nodded and waited. Urawa continued. "Ami you and I have to meet. I'm at the ice cream shop. Someone's following me, and I can't seem to lose them." "Do you know who they are?" Ami asked worriedly. "I think so. And I only know one person in all of Germany that can help me if they're who I think they are." "Who?" "I'll tell you later. But you have to meet me- now. Can you get away?" "Yeah, I think so. I just have to get to this calculus homework..." Ami realized how uncaring she was being. "I'll be right there." She hung up the phone and ran out the door. "See you soon, Ami-chan," Urawa whispered in Japanese as he replaced the phone in the cradle at the ice cream shop. ~*~*~ The first thought that entered Ami's mind was the realization that Urawa-chan looked... different. He was much taller than he'd been last time she'd seen him, and he looked much older. *Wow, he looks good,* she thought. "Urawa?" she asked in disbelief. Meanwhile, similar thoughts were running through Urawa's mind. Ami looked older as well, and had grown a good deal since he'd last seen her. Her black hair had been pulled back into a short ponytail- it hadn't been long enough for that last time he'd seen her. "Guten tag, Urawa." Urawa smiled and returned the greeting. "Guten tag, Ami." Without warning he grabbed her hand and began running out of the store. After winding through a few alleys, Ami realized that he was trying to lose someone. When they stopped, out of breath, Urawa motioned for Ami to follow him into the building they were standing next to. It was an old, abandoned apartment. Cobwebs draped over everything in the skimpily furnished room. A chair sat in the corner, and a cracked mirror leaned against the wall. There was a light patch on the floor where a couch must have been. Ami looked around the room curiously. After a few moments, Urawa began to speak. "Ami, you're not going to believe me when I tell you this." "Of course I will. Just tell me." *Yeah, right. I can just see it now. 'Ami, I can see into the future and you're a superhero with multiple identities and you have to drop out of school and go back to Japan so you can protect planet earth from the T?er of the Nacht. Oh, yeah, and we've been an item since we were in Junior High.'* He shook his head. This was not going to be easy. He pulled a pair of square, transparent glasses tinted blue. He handed them to her wordlessly. "What are these?" she asked. He laughed. "They're yours." *'You know that superhero identity I was telling you about? This is what you use to transform into her. They're magic.'* Though she said nothing, the look in Ami's eyes held a question, one that Urawa was not sure how to answer. *You know, the problem with knowing the future is that you know exactly how stupid you're going to look in a few seconds.* "Hold them up and say 'Moon, Star, Transform.'" Urawa winced at the skeptical look on her face. "Just do it, please." She looked at him warily, but did as he said. "Moon, Star, TRANSFORM!" Ami held up the glasses as a wave of water swirled around her and froze into a sailor suit of sapphire blue. Water splashed onto her feet and froze into matching blue shoes with the sign of Mercury on them. A drop of water fell on her head and her hair became a sapphire blue as a communicating device extended from her ear. "Kami..." she whispered. Urawa smiled. *She looks absolutely gorgeous like this,* he found himself thinking, but the thought was immediately pushed out of his mind. *I have to keep my focus... I'm doing this because it is what I can to to make this world a better place.* (AN: Mmhm, sure) "Ami Mizuno, may I introduce you to Sailor M. Sailor M, meet Ami," Urawa said to lighten the mood, feigning introducing the girl standing next to him to the girl in the mirror. Sailor M giggled looking shyly at Urawa. She knew that the transformation had changed more than her clothes. It had changed her entire appearance- she was now a glamorous, 'blue'- haired Ami, wearing lots of make-up and a gorgeous version of a sailor-fuku. And... um... why was he looking at her like that? Urawa snapped out of his daze, realizing that Ami had caught him staring at her face. Ami just shook her head in disbelief. She then turned to look at Urawa. "What... how... why..." So many questions were running through her mind, and she didn't feel she had time to ask them all. "What now?" she finally asked. Urawa stood silently, not sure how to answer. Well, actually, not being able to think of anything better to say than what he already knew he would say. "We wait for trouble." ~*~*~ So... what did you think? Did you guess who is my own character? ... that's right! I own Sailor M, and she can't do anything about it!! *evil laugh* By the way, Sailor M, I hope you don't mind me publishing this without you getting to read it first... I have a deadline, you know. *grin* Oh yeah, and I came up with the idea for using Alecto and Magaera, but they *really* belong to the ancient Greeks. I need e-mail!!!!! The craving must be fed... \ | | | | | | | | / -> chibichibichibi2@yahoo.com <- / | | | | | | | | \
