Arabian Knights- Part 3 by Chibi Chibi Chibi Rated: PG Note: I have not gotten any e-mails begging me to finish this, asking if I'd forgotten about it, or asking if I'd gotten captured by Queen Beryl and forced to stop writing stories. This is very depressing to me. I haven't updated in FOREVER. Is 'anyone' out there following this? If anyone out there 'is' still reading this, 'please' write me. Give me story ideas, tell me how much you love (or hate) the plot, give me suggestions, tell me how to spell words like Yuuichiru right, ask me how I came up with such a stupid title - ANYTHING!!! I'm lonely here, and your letters are my only means of happiness (j/k). Seriously, I'm thinking of getting this taken down, so here's the deal: if I don't get at least, oh, say 5 e-mails asking for me to keep writing, I'll ask them to take it down. (or, if there's one person who BEGS me - and I mean BEG, like on your knees - I may just write it for them) And if I don't get 5 this week, I'll keep a database of those I receive and when I get the 5th I'll start the next chapter. Deal? 'Kay, so you know I don't own Sailormoon, that's Naoko's job. She and a bunch of other people like TOEI animation and DIC own it, and right now there's so many people who would love to own it too that I don't have a hope, even if she is selling. So, don't sue. (You can e-mail me, though.) One more thing. In part 1, Mamoru knows who Usagi is. I changed my mind. He doesn't. I didn't bother changing it, because you wouldn't read the first part to see if I changed it or not. Now, since I told you that, you're going to go check, and maybe I should just shut up about now? Here you are! Enjoy! (and e-mail me) Part 3: I'll give it a name if it will make you e-mail me! ~*~*~ Mamoru leaned against the wall of the arcade, trying to hold back the laugh that threatened to escape from his mouth. His dark eyes were fixed on a blonde at the Sailor V game near the center of the arcade. He'd only been in Tokyo for a week and he was already beginning to like it. A lot. ~*~*~ Usagi glanced absently at her watch and returned her focus to the game before her. It was a full minute before she realized that the time on her watch was exactly six minutes 'after' she was supposed to be at Rei's temple for a senshi meeting. She gasped and stood, knocking her chair over as she did so, and ran out the door before she could even think of fixing it. Motoki was already there to right it when she glanced back, so she turned her head in front of her- just in time to see the startled face of the man she was now knocking over. Usagi offered a hurried apology and was running again before the man could say anything in reply. *Rei's gonna murder me...* she thought ominously as she entered the gates of Hikawa Jinja, a full fourteen minutes late for the meeting. She bowed apologetically and rambled off a half-hearted excuse about doing her homework and losing track of time, knowing well that she couldn't fool the Hino priestess or any other of the girls, for that matter. "Save it, Odango Breath. We've already started," she said, gesturing to the girls, already gathered in a semicircle on the temple steps. "What was that you were saying, Ami?" she asked with pointed interest. "Um, yes, well, what I was saying was that we really don't 'know' enough about them to preform a thorough search on my mini-computer. Luna was right. These new enemies are going to be a 'lot' harder to defeat. We didn't really accomplish anything these last few battles, and we 'can't' until we find out more." "But how can we?" asked Michiru. "I've been trying to find out as much as I can each battle we have, but they aren't giving away anything. We can't outnumber them, because they have so 'many' youma. We have to beat them mentally, and right now, I don't know how we're going to do that." The group was silent as each one thought of what Michiru said. She was right; the new enemies were giving 'no' hints. No one could come up with a way to outsmart these new invaders; they didn't even know what their goal was. A glum look passed across each girl's face as they realized the consequences for them and all of Tokyo if they 'didn't' defeat their new opponents. No one spoke for a while. The silence was finally broken by Luna, "Why don't you guys all just go home and think about it; there's no point in keeping you here any longer." A collective murmur of reluctant approval rose from the group and, one by one, the girls headed in their respective directions. Usagi sat on the step, incredulous and obviously upset. "So that's it?! I was 'winning'! That record was as good as beat! Oooohhhhh!!! REI!!!!!!" Eyes wide, Rei realized her perilous position sitting next to Usagi and promptly rose and began running for her life. Usagi immediately followed, furious, but soon realized that now that the meeting was over, she could go to the arcade and so changed directions so that she was now running for the arcade. As she turned the corner, she narrowly missed running into two women, but in doing so, ran straight into a tall man. The two toppled to the ground, and Usagi began to stand up, picking up some papers the man had apparently dropped and handing them to him. That was when she realized just 'who' she'd run into. "Hey, Odango Atama, care to explain to me why you like knocking me over so much?" Usagi stood, speechless, for a few seconds, before finally choking out, "M-mamoru?" A bewildered expression found its way onto the man's face and for a moment Usagi thought her memory had failed her again. *So, Usagi, now you're going around thinking all cute guys 'must' be Mamo-chan. You've already asked five guys (including Motoki) if they were really Chiba Mamoru. Give it up.* "How did you know my name?" Usagi jerked her head up and wanted to jump for joy and cry all at the same time. "You don't remember me?" she said in a small voice. The tears were already welling up in her eyes as she waited for an answer; when he didn't give her one, she couldn't take it anymore. She pushed her way past him and began running down the sidewalk, not caring when she passed the arcade. She just wanted to get away from everything. These memories of a wonderful past only filled her with a greater pain and emptiness. She shook her head and dashed into a deserted alley. Leaning against the wall, she allowed several broken sobs to escape before she let the tears flow freely. ~*~*~ Mamoru stood speechless as the girl ran off. Sure he remembered her... from running into her earlier- *Literally,* he reminded himself- but he couldn't place a name to her nor could he remember any other... meetings. Nonetheless, she seemed genuinely hurt at his lack of recognition, and that bothered him. He 'hated' making someone sad. *Especially a gorgeous girl like her,* came an unwelcome voice in his head. Rolling his eyes at himself, he tried to remember exactly 'where' it was he'd been going, but, still thinking of the sad odango-headed blonde, decided not to try to remember any more and headed back for his apartment. Despite the extra effort he made to take his mind off the girl, he couldn't keep his mind off the hurt expression on her face as she ran off. He tried to ignore the question that he kept asking himself, but he couldn't push the thought from his mind: Did he really know her? ~*~*~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I N T E R M I S S I O N (he he... got ya at a tense part, didn't I?) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~E-mail Welcome~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~chibichibichibi2@yahoo.com~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HI ALL (say hi back: chibichibichibi2@yahoo.com) (all potty breaks now) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~*~*~ "DIE, CREEP!" V-chan was in a 'very' bad mood. The freak had waken her up from a 'very' good dream. She was back at home, and that arcade guy was asking her out on a date, and she had just won free stuff at the mall for life... okay, so it 'was' only a dream, but, hey, she thought sadly, that was all she had of a good life. A dream. Sailor V curled her nose at the detestable odor the youma gave off. "Hey, ever heard of a bath, Nega-creep? I, Sailor V, will right that wrong! (among others) Crescent Shower!" The youma fought off the attack, sending it hurling towards V-chan. Screaming, the young superhero began to run. "Uh,... that's all I know! ARTEMIS!!!! Get your tail over here!" She dropped to the ground and rolled out of the way of a handful of green, smelly, gook that narrowly missed ruining her hair. She stood up, furious. "JERK! PUSILLANIMOUS IDIOT!! REVOLTING CREATURE FROM THE DEPTHS OF THE EARTH!!!!! WRATH-INDUCING WRETCH!!!!!! YOU WILL PAY!!!! PREPARE FOR THE UNQUENCHABLE FURY OF SAILOR V!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Steam slowly began to escape from her ears. It threw another ball of goop at her. "Crescent Boomerang!!!!!!!" It threw another. "WILL YOU QUIT IT?!??!!!!! Venus... love and beauty..." "V-chan?! NO! Not yet! You aren't ready to use that yet!!!!!" "SHUT UP ARTEMIS!!! 'I'M' THE ONE FIGHTING!!!!" She paused with her fingers pointed at the hideous, detestable youma, her eyes filled with loathing. "SSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ~*~*~ *Waiting for trouble sure is hard,* Ami thought, inwardly scolding herself for the lack of her usual eloquence of words. Every few seconds, something- usually the wind, once a faint echoing whisper that sounded like someone saying... was it "Shock?"- would distract her, jarring her thoughts, which, not surprisingly, had been on her calculus homework. Surprisingly, however (though not to you and I), the remaining things that jarred her focus were thoughts of Urawa. She sighed, realizing that she was still on the first problem on her homework. *Focus, Ami. It's not that hard.* *The derivative of 3 x to the 4th plus 7 x squared is 12 x cubed plus 14 x. The integral of Urawa-chan is equal to Sailor M plus luv.* Ami sighed. This was 'simply' not going to work. Ami closed her calculus book and stood up. Where was her concentration? Where was her focus? Where was her usual love for math? She sighed. Perhaps she could get something done in her German homework. At least then she could write a poem... to Urawa... *Ami! STOP!!! It's just that you haven't seen any guy in weeks. Yes, of course. That's it. And, I haven't seen 'this' guy in months. Any girl would react that way. This will 'not' interfere with my studies.* She sat down and opened her calculus book, wincing at the noise it made when it hit the table. She hadn't meant to open it 'that' hard. *Derivatives. Integrals. Think calculus.* Ami's head fell hard on the book in front of her. No. She was 'not' in love. No one could make Ami get that ridiculous lovestruck look on her face. 'NO' 'ONE'. *Not even a good-looking, smart guy like Urawa.* Ami growled loudly. ~*~*~ Magaera paced the length of the small room, her footsteps echoing in empty hall. Where were they? This would not do. 'Every' senshi 'must' be accounted for. From Magaera's records, there should be ten. She could locate eight of them. There was that brat Sailor V that had shown herself only today; the remaining seven were in Tokyo as expected. The Princess of Mercury was simply not to be found. Other things were worrying Magaera. One of the former rainbow crystal carriers was no longer in Tokyo. This was the one that most concerned Magaera, for he could tell the future. Magaera knew that if ever she revealed anything of their goal or location, the boy would find out. Somehow, he would, and there was nothing Magaera could do. The boy must be found and killed before he caused 'any' trouble. Third of the worries Magaera held was the tenth senshi. Sailor Chibi-moon was said to hold powers infinitely more than her mother's, and Magaera was certain she would show herself when they least expected her and when the Daughters were at their weakest. *As with the Ryo Urawa, so will be done with Chibi-moon,* Magaera resolved, a wicked glint in her eye. Despite the sea of thoughts in her mind, Magaera refused to say one word aloud, lest the senshi have a spy on the ship. No chances would be taken; the Daughters of the Night would prevail. Magaera was not so naive as to think no one 'could' conquer them; contrary to that she knew that if any time their guard was let up, they could be overtaken in seconds. One slip of the tongue, one misgiven battle order, or one corrupt soldier could mean the end of the Nega-verse forever. The Juugoya no Otome were the Nega-verse's last hope. "We will prevail," Magaera whispered, her voice not full of confidence as others', but instead of determination. ~*~*~ "Hey, Odango! Wait up!" Usagi really was not in the mood to talk to Mamoru right now. She 'knew' he didn't remember, and was not in the mood to be reminded of that fact. "Odango?!" "Leave me alone, Mamoru," she said quietly but firmly. "I'm not Mamoru." Usagi turned to see a tall, dark, and handsome man, just like Mamoru, though this one was 'obviously' not him. He had much longer hair, and was dressed much more stylishly than Mamoru. His face held concern in it, and Usagi smiled at the sight. *At least 'he' remembers me,* she thought ominously. "Konnichiwa, Seiya." "What's wrong, Odango?" Usagi was quiet for a moment, wondering if she should really tell him. He was trying to help her, and she did 'not' want to hurt him... "I... I just want to be a normal teenager again," she said, truthfully. *At least then I would not have to worry about duty or destiny or anything else,* she thought morbidly. She was immediately ashamed, and began to inwardly scold herself, "Oh, I'm so sorry, Usagi. I know just how you feel. But you have to remember that Earth 'needs' you. You have a duty to it." *Yeah, and you can't fulfill that duty without loving Mamoru. Like I said, loving him is a duty.* She shook her head. No. She really didn't feel that way... did she? "Oh, I don't know anymore," she said, tears streaming down her face. "Sometimes being Sailormoon is the best thing that ever happened to me, and others.. I wish Queen Serenity had never brought me back to life." "Please don't say that, Usagi. You're so important to everyone on this planet. More important than I think you'll ever know," he added softly. "Thank you, Seiya," she replied in a whisper, wiping away a tear that was sliding down her cheek and standing up. "I guess I'll just go back to the arcade... and try to live as normal a life as I can." "If you're not doing anything tonight, I have a banquet I'm going to with Yaten and Taki. You could come with me..." he suddenly noticed the reluctant look on her face and realized instantly what had been troubling her "...you know, to keep the other girls away from me. I can practically breathe at those things..." She nodded, wiping a tear away. "I'd love to." He smiled and took on a gentlemanly state. "Then I'll see you at 6. The dress is formal, in case you wanted to know." He raised his eyebrows. "We wouldn't want you coming in jeans, you know." "Thank you, Seiya." She impulsively hugged him in her excitement, then hurried home. ~*~*~ You like? Okay, STOP!!! Don't leave this page yet!!!! Open your e-mail program. Yes, now.
