Title: I Promise (Ch. 2) Author: ChibiMercury Rating: R for violence, swearing and evil yet to come. Disclaimer: SM is never mine, you know all of that though. All thanks goes to awesome Naoko Takeuchi who filled the world with Sailor Moon! YEA! I Promise; 2 George shut his eyes and leaned against the park bench. He was so glad Mina had accepted him. The radiant glow of the sun settled quietly down upon the horizon until it was gone like a delicious ice cream sundae. The sun was gone, darkness took over like a winter fort. The dusk settled like a soft winter blanket around him, the temperature steadly dropped, but George didn't notice; he was lost in his thoughts. The cold bit at his nose like a little puppie's lick and frost began dancing down upon him, he shivered, a human reaction, not at all an Eojian one. The atmosphere changed him, he noticed. Once before he had arrived here, he had been colder, more like an emotionless beast who has never heard of nor would recognize love, beauty, hatred; all emotions vital, he found, vital to human survival. The change was stunning. The planet had taught him love, something he would have once snubbed down on. He only hoped it affected everyone else as positively. Then maybe they could live in peace on Earth, learn the emotions he had found. It was, after all, just as nice as his old planet, perhaps even better, but with him being a man with his pride, he refused to admit it. Soon all was dark and the stars twinkled on like small lightbulbs against black cardboard. The night was clean, the air was fresher. That was something he noticed; the air was much cleaner at night on this planet. He could breathe it in and actually feel it working on his lungs. A marvelous concept it was. He found himself shivering again and decided he should leave, he might draw attention to himself, sitting outside on a cold and lonely night; he didn't need attention. He sat for a while, letting the night take over like a army war general, before he regained footing and set off to locate the crystal. The bleeding crystal, the sole purpous for their journey. He knew it was somewhere in Tokyo, that was where the force of it was most powerful. Sticking a home- rolled ciggarette in his mouth, he walked off without leaving a trace of evidence that he had once been there. ----- "Drauston, sir?" A thin, cheap, hollow little voice, like bells tinkling on a wind chime. She questioned the leader. After all, what he said went around this joint. "What have you to report, Ojka?" Now a low voice of darkness, eeriness. It was this voice that a small child aboard the ship once heard; his name was Sojr and he is mentioned in other writings. Sojr heard Drauston's voice and suddenly screamed and ran away to the comfort of his bed. It was later that night that Sojr would have nightmares of horrible demons with eerie, dark voices chasing him with their bloody feet. And that was one of Drauston's first evil doings, the first of many to come. Ojka shivered in fear, "We are within the atmosphere of Earth. Jeoj has sent readings from Tokyo, Japan on the East location." She read the readings from the minature palm computer which hooked up to a pair of ear phones upon her head, clicking into the small computer continuosly. '**beep** it,' Ojka thought with a swear, 'I wish these ear phones blocked out his awful voice...' "Land there, Ojka." Dirty oil and smoke is what that dreadful voice stank of like a poor dead skunk in the middle of the road who lost his final battle with an 18-wheeler. "Yes, sir." She leapt off to give his latest orders and left him in his dank and solitary quaters; boy did she want to get out of there, the place was so dirty and black and it smelled really bad, too. It was just yuckie in her opinion. It was just as well, the smell of this planet was giving Drauston a migraine headache; let the girl go. He could get her later if she proved unworthy. His dark eyes gleamed off into nothingness as he thought and dreamed. Once he possessed the crystal, oh, everything would be fine. Everything, and he could be rid of all the evil which over took his soul. Be rid of all the agony, stress, and pain with over ruled his conscious. His head pound louder and louder and louder!!! Like a cannon going off repeatedly.. over and over and over... Since he had arrived in the radius of this planet, a sole thought had become clearer. And that thought was 'revenge'. He smiled displaying a row of yellow, rotting teeth. No more misery... ----- The bell. And at _what_ hour was it? It was barely 8 o'clock. What bitch had the nerve to come wandering around now? She showed her finger off to no one in particular, as if it might make whoever was at her door go away. Yet the bell rang in protest a second time. "WHAT THE HADE'S LAIR DO YOU WANT?!!!??" She got up with a yell and removed her carcass from the depths of her comfortable bed with a stretch and yawn, "You'd better have a damn good reason for getting me up before noon," she mumbled, "noon is too early too, though." And when she opened the door, all anger was dissolved into silk. Just like that, as Rumplestiltskin spun straw to gold. It was _him_; George, "Oh," she breathed softly and promptly forgot what was going on. Soft music filled the air and song birds chirped off in the distance in a harmonious mood. The "Perfection" ***** For those who don't realize it, Perfection is that board game thingy, you know... put the pieces into the slot, make the right selection, but be quick, you're racing the clock.... POP goes Perfection.... Remember it?***** commercial suddenly popped into her head and she shook it away with a chitter of annoyance. Why did those stupid commercials always break the mood? She would have to watch less television.... "In the name of Hade's Lair," he said with his shy smile, "I have come to save you from this terrible castle of woe. But if you'd rather sleep in your horrid bed, Sleeping Beauty, you may go right ahead." He brushed a stray lock of his soft brown hair from his pellucid blue eyes and her heart melted and stopped beating. She tried to breath but couldn't. 'P.S. I love you..' she thought in a sing song way. "Oh no, I didn't mean that; I thought you were Serena or one of the girls..." She smiled a lopsided smile and hoped desperatley she looked calm because inside her heart was beating in her chest so that she couldn't breathe, yet it refused to beat at all and she was going a hundred miles an hour in awe, love, confusion, hope. He smiled again and she suddenly realized what was going on, "EEK!" She yelled in embarrassment, "I'm not even dressed, yet!!!" She leaped in the air with another annoying thought... 'Do I always have to ruin the best moments?' and prepared to shut him out of the house; suddenly she didn't know what was going on any more, she just knew that George couldn't see her like this, but he stepped inside, "I'll just wait on the couch, if you don't mind..." But Mina had already dashed off in her nightdress, trying to unknot her knotty hair yelping and crying out in embarrassment, love and fear. He smiled again. Heaven, pure heaven on earth.
