But you can E-mail comments, flames, stuff, to Mercury Knight, Part Two "Amy, are you alright?" Greg's voice shattered the darkness. Amy sighed, and shut her eyes harder. Trying to ignore Greg. She wanted to sleep right now. Her head felt as if some one had entered it and beat a drum inside. It was pounding hard in her ears, and her vision was very blurry. Her joints and muscles ached, and sleep was very inviting. "Ames? Where are we?" Greg's voice rung in her head, once more. Finding she wouldn't be able to sleep again, she yawned and stretched. "Geez, Ames, you look like a fright." Amy looked at him. He was standing up, looking at her. His eyes near bore a hole in her skull. He was dirty, and his pants were ripped up, his shirt had a hole in it where the droid had whacked him, which was covered with dried blood. She stood up, shakily, and surveyed the area. "It looks like the moon kingdom," she announced after a moment. "Did you get any visions about this?" "Yeah," he admitted, sheepishly, digging his hands in his pocket. "You did? Why didn't you tell anyone?" "Does my dog count as 'anyone'?" Amy sighed, exasperated, "What were these visions about?" Greg's eyebrows furrowed in concentration. After a moment, he spoke, "I don't really know. It wasn't bad, though. In fact, it gave me a good feeling." "Oh?" "Yeah, you see it was dark, really dark, and I could barely see anything, but I saw a woman, and she looked a lot like you, but it wasn't you, or your mother. I can't figure out who it is, but she smiles, and holds out her hands. I think I'm supposed to see what she has, but I can't, and the vision stops when I see her." Amy nodded, understandingly. Though she had no idea what was going on. She paused a moment, thinking, and then pulled out her transformation pen, "Mercury Star POWER!!" The darkness faded, as the bluish light enveloped Amy, and ribbons of color wrapped her deep in a hug, a warm sensation came over her, as it did every time she transformed, and she pushed that feeling of doubt away, as the light went out. The dirt-streaken, ripped dress, unbrushed-haired girl was removed, and the super heroine, Sailor Mercury stood in her place, "Maybe I can get some readings on my visor," she said, as she pulled out her minicomputer, and snapped on her visor. Greg sat in a pile of dirt, waiting. He was already dirty, so more dirt wouldn't hurt. He ran his fingers threw his hair, trying to smooth it out. Sailor Mercury still typed away, so Greg lay on the ground, awaiting her small, yet joyous cry of victory. "Greg," she announced, happily, after a few moments of clicking away, "I've figured out that we are not on the Moon, but the planet Mercury." "That is right, my children," a small, yet majestic voice rang out, clear and strong, startling the couple, "This was our kingdom before the NegaVerse destroyed it." "Who are you," Mercury asked. The woman floated down to the ground, in a soft blue dress, which billowed out as she moved, with long white gloves, and small blue heels, the woman looked magnificent. But what caught Sailor Mercury's attention was the crown upon her head. It was made of white gold, which shined and glittered from her silky blue hair, with a blue sapphire placed with care, in the center of the crown. Sailor Mercury stared at her, quizzically, a moment, before a strange expression came over her face, "M...m...mother?" She forced the words out. The woman, Amy knew she was a queen, and the thought 'mother' had popped into her head. Though usually not speaking without thinking it through, she had blurted this out, for the words had seemed right. She paused a moment, awaiting the Queen's reaction, then she realized what she had said. Sailor Mercury immediately regretted her words, as she said them, feeling quite foolish, thinking she was wrong, but the queen's response startled her even more. Greg looked at Amy with a peculiar look on his face. Amy never stuttered, and she called this woman her mother. "Yes, my daughter, and since you have both found your way back here, then I assume it is time for you to learn your past, for Queen Serenity has only informed my dear Ami of her life on the moon." With that, the Queen opened her hands, to reveal a large blue energy ball. A blue mist surrounded it, with flecks of silver embedded in it. Greg and Sailor Mercury stared at the energy ball, paralyzed with its beauty. The woman released it, and the whole area grew brighter and brighter until vision was near impossible. Mercury and Greg held each other as wind picked up, blowing their hair and clothes. Mercury let out a scream, but it was lost in the wind. They shut their eyes and felt themselves being blown apart, "GREEEEG!!" "AMYYYYYY!!" Mercury felt her clothes peel away, as ribbons attached themselves to her body. It felt like she was changing into Sailor Mercury, yet this feeling was different. Indescribable. She felt herself being freshened up, and her hair stopped blowing softly against the back of her neck. The sensation ended, and Amy opened her eyes, slowly. As Greg felt himself being pulled away from Amy, he called her name, yet no reply reached his ears. He prayed softly for her safety, and suddenly felt a warm tingle run threw his body. It chilled his bones, yet felt renewing and his clothes began to shift into a new outfit. A long sword appeared in his hands, which, on instinct, he put in the holder which appeared on his belt. When the tingling stopped, he slowly opened his eyes. There stood Princess Ami and Mercury Knight. ------- Ryo and Ami held each other's hand in the moonlight. They were in the garden, on the small white bridge in the center, which covered a small pellucid stream. The stream was crystal clear, and moving steadily to an unheard beat. Every once in a while, a ripple would disturb the melody, from a small silver fish which was carried downstream. They walked through the garden, quietly, save the occasional click of Princess Ami's shoes on the stones, and came back to the castle. The castle was tall and wide, very sturdy, and made of large, rectangular, stones of cabochon sapphire, which cast a beautiful effect when hit by the first rays of light at dawn. But now it was dark, and fire works lit the sky from the horizon, causing beautiful shades of red, yellow, blue, all colors, to harmonize in many different patterns. "It's beautiful," Ami breathed softly. "Yes, but not as beautiful as you, my love," Ryo whispered back. Ami blushed, yet cuddled closer to him, shivering slightly from a small breeze. He noticed, and removed his cape, which he put upon the Princess's shoulder with great care, "Are you still cold," he questioned with concern. "No, not at all," she said softly, and kissed his cheek in thanks. ---------- The servant clicked her tongue as she removed the thermometer from Ami's mouth, "Temperature's 105. That's some fever you have, Princess." She bowed then, and left the room to contact the castle doctor and report Ami's condition to him. Ami sighed, and rolled over weakly, causing her much pain. She covered her head with her pillow, and shivered violently, though she had on a down-feathered blanket, the warmest in the kingdom, and an assortment of other warm overlays. She was freezing, and chattered her lips. Positive, she was, that she would certainly die from this sickness, and counted the days until something better would come. She lay still, trying to fall asleep, and soon succeeded in having her eyelids begin to droop. She lowered her head onto the pillow. "Princess, I have brought thou some soup to warm thy bones," Mercury Knight spoke softly, "Tis made by Princess Makoto, who sends her greetings and sympathy to you." Ami looked up weakly, dark rings under her eyes, yellow dried up crust from her eyes, caused by the sickness. She looked towards the container of soup, and took a sip, slowly. "Hai, this is very soothing. Please send my regards to Makoto." "Of course," he assured, "now get well soon, I am waiting to escort you to the gardens one night." He smiled warmly at her, "now I must be on my way, for I can not stay long." Ami smiled, as he exited, and vowed to get better, for Ryo's sake. -------- "Please, be safe," Sailor Mercury told him, as he prepared to enter the Earth portal. "Of course, but you know I may not come back." Mercury nodded, tears welling up in her large blue eyes. "You're in my heart, Ami." he said, lovingly. "And you shall always be in mine," she replied, as a single tear fell from her eyes, splashing softly against her cheek. He held her small body, wrapping her in his cape, as they shared one last kiss. "I love you." He nodded, and stepped through the portal. "No, Ryo, I don't want you to go. Stay, please. No," more tears spilled down her cheeks, as she choked softly on her words. She stood up, her knees shaking, and exited the room, "Good bye." -------- Queen Beryl raised her staff, pointing it at the noble knights of Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter. "You all could be royal knights of the dark force. Why not come and taste the joy of winning, young men." "Thanks, but no thanks, why would we want to work for a snake like you," Mercury Knight yelled, as he lunged towards Beryl, sword pointed at her heart. She raised her hand, and captured him in a transport bubble, "Never mess with Queen Beryl," she laughed in third person, "you are mine, brave Ryo. Come, join my Shadow Warriors, the other six are waiting." With that she flicked her wrist, and he was gone. On the moon, Sailor Mercury was preparing for battle, "NO, Ryo, come back to me," she cried in a strangled voice, and collapsed on the floor in a heap. Everything went black. ----------- "You are to surve as a shadow warrior, one of my finest combatants in our war. Now tell me, brave one, who are you?" Ryo clenched his teeth in pain, resisting the urge to give in. Sweat covered his forehead, and slid down the sides, he wouldn't answer her, if he broke his concentration, then Ami... Well, he had to do this for Ami. A Dark General, with short blond hair, penetrated the room, he was known as Jedite. "He will not give in, Jedite, he will serve as a strong soldier. Give him the motavation he needs to join our side," Queen Beryl commanded, as Jedite walked up to Ryo, crouched in a ball, not hearing the conversation around him. Jedite laughed and kicked him in the back, right on Ryo's spine, causing him to loose his heedfulness and cry out in pain. The Dark energy which had been circling Ryo, quickly ran through out his body, threw his vains, he felt himself shift forms, and cried out in pain, as the dark energy over came him. Everything went black for him. He stood a shadow warrior. Queen Beryl smiled in triumph. ----------- "GREEEEEG!!!!!" "AMYYYYYY!!!!!" They plunged into blackness, heading back towards earth. "We're back," Amy noticed, as she stared out at a street light, which flickered softly in the first rays of morning light. "Yeah, and it's pretty late. My mom's gonna have a fit," he scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. "I told you not to walk me home," she laughed gently. He looked at her, ashamed, somehow, then suddenly burst out laughing. "What's so funny?" "I don't know. You tell me, Amy. I thought I was from the NegaVerse, and now it turns out that bitch captured me." Amy smiled, warmly at him, "It's over now, you're safe." Greg looked at Amy, sadly, "but what about your mother?" "She's alright. May she rest in peace now, for she has brought us back together." Greg nodded in agreement. "Oh, Ryo," she said, happily. "Ami.." They turned their separate ways, Amy persuading Greg to show up at Raye's temple for an meeting the next day. "Good bye, Greg," she whispered, and walked off into the early morning.
