Um, I don't own Sailor Moon. Repeating in English: Don't sue me!! Thanks to Lady Jupiter and Starina for ideas and stuff. Mercury Knight Part IV Amy walked out into the sunshine, its golden rays beating down softly upon her floppy straw hat, as she flipped threw the mail, chanting the usual phrase, "Bill, bill, junk, bill, junk, junk, junk, junk, bill--" she stopped in the middle of her chanting, as she fingered an envelope addressed to her. Gasping at the return address, she turned and ran towards the house. "Ames, wait up," Greg called out, as he ran, puffing out of breath, to her side. "Hello, Greg, what's the matter? Serena didn't really set all of her Darien memorabilia on fire, did she?" "Nah, not yet at least," he laughed, remembering some of Serena's idea's on how to get Darien to go out with her again. One had been to set everything that reminded her of Darien on fire in front of his apartment, at one o'clock in the morning, in her scout form. The idea had caused lots of laughs, and had quickly been discarded, since Luna had threatened to shave off all of her hair. Both laughed, remembering the scene that Serena had made, as Luna slowly sharpened her claws in front of Serena's face. "Well, Serena's hair is still okay, as far as I know. I was just wondering if you wanted to go to the park," he questioned. "Maybe later, Greg. But come inside, it's really hot out there, you can have some lemonade." He followed her into the cool, air-conditioned home, and sank into the couch as she handed him some drink. "What have you got there," he asked, suddenly noticing the letter in her hand. "Oh," she said, as if she just realized it was there, "it's the results from my Study Abroad Scholarship Test. I'm really excited about it." "Oh, then go ahead, open it, don't let _me_ stand in the way," he joked. He took a sip of the cold lemonade, and she removed the contents from the letter. She held them in her hand, reading them, and Greg watched as joy crept into face, lighting it up like a light bulb. "You got accepted, huh?" "mm hmm, yes, and I get to go to Germany to study to be a pediatrician," she said cheerfully. "Oh, uh, that's, um, great," he said, not quite sure how to react. "Oh, and, um, my dad got a job, I came to say we're staying," he finished. "Really Greg?? That's terrific!" "Yeah, so when are you leaving?" She paused and looked over the form once more, "Um, two weeks." His face fell, crestfallen, "Oh, well we still have enough time to have fun, right?" "Yeah, so let's start with a trip to the park," she said. "Yeah, I guess," he said, saddened by the thought of Amy leaving, all the way to Germany. ----- "Hey, Rini. Where are you going? Ice cream shop," Amy questioned the little girl, as she approached her a week later after school. "No, just home." "Wow, you've got a lot of discipline." "I try," Rini replied, turning to face the older girl. "I've heard their ice cream is really delicious, but I'd like some company," Amy hinted, as they walked by the new ice cream shop, Bob Floy. "Don't look at me, I hate sweets," The girl lied. "Come on, everybody loves ice cream, Rini, " Amy coaxed, "If you don't mind hanging out with an old junior high girl like me, I'll buy you a double. What do you say? My treat," she offered. "Oh alright, but only because you wanted some company," Rini turned and ran towards Bob Floy, "Let's go! Last one there's a rotten peach! Come on, hurry!" "Okay," Amy smiled, and followed the pink haired rabbit. "I'll stand in line for you!" ****** They sat down at a park bench, licking their ice cream cones. Neither spoke as they ate the cones, but Amy doubted that she would have gotten a conversation out of Rini any ways. The little flamingo looked as if she was on Cloud 9, her eye's twinkled with stars, and her mouth was wide open, drool at the corners. "This must have cost a fortune," she repeated, "I can't keep it." "Don't worry yourself with the price, I got a good deal on it. Please take it, it'd hurt my feelings if you don't," he sniffed a pretend cry, and widened his eyes. Amy looked at him and laughed, "Alright, good puppy. Extra doggie biscuits for you tonight." "Oh, so now I'm a dog," he said, pretending to be hurt. "But a cute one," Amy laughed, stroking his soft brown hair. ------- "I'll miss you, Ames," Greg told her, as they stood in the New Tokyo International Airport. "Yes, but we can talk on the internet, and there's always holidays," she pointed out, as she squeezed his hand, and smiled at him. "But you'll be so far away, I'll miss you," he admitted. "And I'll miss you." They turned to see Darien and Rini running towards them, "Huh, Rini, Darien, what are you doing here?" Rini laughed, and ran around, dribbling her cat head, "Luna Ball Magic, make Amy a gift!!" The Luna Ball exploded, and Rini gave Amy a small candy cane shaped item, which immediately turned into a bouquet of flowers, "Don't forget me," Rini ordered. Amy smiled at her, as Darien held out another gift towards her, "here, this one's from Serena and the girls." "Oh, they shouldn't have," Amy said quietly, as she pulled out the contents of the bag. ::Dear Amy, You'll always be one of us. Love, Your Friends:: Amy held a star capped pen in front of her face, as tears pooled up in her large blue eyes, she thought, "Oh Darien, I can't do this. Can you give us a ride?" Darien nodded, and the four people walked to Darien's car, carrying Amy's suitcase as her flight was called for boarding. ***** "Oooh, it's freezing," Sailor Moon moaned, as she shivered in her short uniform. They were in the cellar of Bob Floy, fighting a droid called Frostie. The droid was incredibly strong, and the scouts couldn't touch it. They hid behind a large rock of ice, shivering, trying to figure out how to get at the droid. "Yeah, way colder than when we fought Queen Beryl," Venus chattered her lips. "Try not to think about it," Mars told them, as she shivered violently. Droid Frostie had been blowing freezing ice from her mouth, blowing up ice blocks as she searched for the scouts. She once more blew the freezing cold air from her lips, and the rock of ice shattered from in front of the scouts. They screamed in terror, as Frostie blew one last breath, leaving the scouts frozen in place before they could react. Frostie laughed evily. ***** "I can't believe I almost got on that plane," Amy thought aloud, as Greg followed her to the ice cream shop. "Yeah, but I'm glad you didn't," Greg puffed, out of breath. "Mmm hmm," Amy nodded, and pulled out her new transformation pen, "Mercury Star POWER!!!" Amy nails were coloured blue, as her pen found its way to her grasp. She was wrapped in a blue light, as waves of energy encircled her, peeling away her clothes, removing them with a sailor scout uniform. "Mercury Knight POWER!" Greg called, as he too was covered in blue light. His clothes melded into armor, and on instinct, he placed the sword which appeared in his hand in his sword holder. They ran into the cellar, where Frostie and the frozen scouts lay. "What, more scouts? I will defeat you," Frostie yelled, and bashed Mercury Knight to the ground with her icy breath, where he struggled to his feet, clutching his stomach. "Hey, Leave us alone," Mercury Knight shouted, and pulled out his sword, "Take this!" He weakly lunged at the droid, sword outstretched towards her heart. "Mercury Ice Storm, BLAST!!!" Mercury called, and released a ball of icy energy towards Frostie. "What the--," she questioned, as she was stabbed in the chest, and hit with double power as Mercury's Ice Storm raged into her chest, also. Frostie screamed, and landed on the floor with a thud, as greenish blood gushed from her chest. "Help me finish her off," Mercury asked, and called another attack, "Mercury Ice Bubbles, Freeze!!" She held out her hands, and focused her energy, then, releasing it, it flew towards Frostie dangerously. "Crystal Daggers!!" Knight called, and with expertise, logged them in Frostie's heart, with the Ice Bubbles surrounding the them. The droid let out one last cry of pain, as it dusted, and landed in a heap on the ground. The dark gem fell into the pile, and faded into charcoal. "Sailor Scouts, Jupiter Knight," Sailor Mercury cried, as she observed the frozen scout-cicles. "We have to get them out, they could freeze to death," Mercury Knight announced, as he circled around the group. "Yes, but we can't do anything because our powers deal with water and ice. If we tried to free them, we might hurt them even more." That excuse was logical, and Mercury Knight found no reason to disagree, "Then let's take them outside. It's warmer out there, it should help thaw them out." Struggling with pain, the couple carried out Sailor Mars first. She was quite heavy, and they clenched their teeth in concentration. They slowly climbed the steps, stalling once a while to gather their strength. "Mars, NO!!" Sailor Mercury cried, as she slipped on some ice, dropping the ice cube. It fell down the stairs, cracking as it went, and shattered as it hit the ground. "Sailor Mars, are you alright," Mercury asked, and went to the fallen scouts aid. Mars clutched her head, and whimpered, "Fine, thanks for saving me, but do you think you could have been a little more gentle?" "Sorry," Mercury laughed with relief, "I slipped." They turned to the sound of an ear splitting crack, "Scouts!," they cried in alarm. Tuxedo Mask stood by an open window, smiling triumph idly, as Sailor Moon, her scouts, and Jupiter Knight stood up shakily. "Whoa, what happened," Sailor Jupiter asked, leaning against Jupiter Knight for support. "Tuxedo, you saved me again. Does this mean that somewhere deep inside you, you still care?" Tuxedo's smile vanished, "No, Sailor Moon, I've told you, it's over. I'll save you if I must, but nothing more." He turned and coldly exited the area, The other scouts turned towards Mercury and Knight, "Thanks, you guys, for saving us," Venus laughed. "Yeah, thanks a lot," Mars said, somewhat sarcastically. "Yeah, we really appreciate it," Jupiter thanked. Mercury smiled warmly, "I decided I couldn't leave you all, you're my friends. Germany can wait, I'll wait. Til I'm older and ready, for now I'll stay here, with you guys. And it looks like I made a good choice," she laughed. "Yeah," everyone laughed in agreement. "And Mercury Knight, you were splendid. Welcome to the Sailor Scouts," Luna announced. "And Knights," Jupiter Knight added. "Glad to be here," he smiled. End Story. I don't think I'll add an epilogue because it's just an introduction to a new knight, or something. Oh well, it's over, so E-mail your comments to . Seeya, and Thanks! Chibi-Mercury
