all goes well. this is going to be a short chapter.

"Mother."

        Darien's mother fades away and a tear falls and touches the carpet.

"Darien, are you okay?," asks Serena as Darien sits on the couch not saying
a word.

"Huh? Oh...I am better then I have been for a long time.," states Darien as
he reaches out
for her hand.

        Serena takes his hand and sits down next to him on the couch....She
notices then
that he is crying.

"Darien.....it is alright, you will see her again...I am hear with you now
and forever.,"
states Serena as she buries her head in his chest.

"Oh, thanks Serena...I know that, I just can't believe that my mother is
alive and that my
father is dying.," replies Darien as he closes his eyes and thinks of his
parents.

"Darien, what are you going to do? How can you help? We don't even now where
they
are.," states Serena very sympatheticly.

"I know that, but I have to help my father....if he is dying then you know
what that
means....I have to take my birth right and become the king of that relm.,"
informs Darien
as he holds her tightly.

        Serena then starts to cry at the thought of losing him....she then
thinks to herself...
"No I just got him back and I will not lose him again."

        Darien feels her warm tears soaking through his shirt and he picks
her chin up so
that she is looking at him.

"Serena...please don't cry....I will always be with you.....no matter where
we are.....I love
you and nothing can ever change that.," states Darien as he tenderly kisses
her on the lips.

        Darien escorted Serena home that night.....

"Well, see yah later...Meatball Head.," states Darien as he kisses her
forhead and starts to
walk away.

"Darien....please don't go, not yet....I need you.," replies Serena as tears
start to fall down
her cheeks.

"Oh, Meatball Head...please don't cry....come on lets go the park and talk
for awhile."

"Sniff Sniff"

"Okay, Darien."

        Darien and Serena walked to the park and sat on their favorite
bench, the one that
overlooked the lake.  As they sat there each one was a little awkward
towards the other.
Darien knew that this would cause complications in their relationship....if
he did have to
leave this time and place....and Serena knew that without Darien her life
would be
meaning less....she then thought that if this was their future that her
mother should  not
have sent them to a new place and time on Earth.

        Darien could read her thoughts...he always had been able to.

"Serena, don't think that...your mother gave us another chance to be
happy...please don't
even wish that. I would not have you with me.," replies Darien as he looks
into her eyes.

"Darien....I didn't mean it, honest. I just don't want you to leave me....I
love and need
you so much then you can ever imagine.," states Serena as she holds him
close and thinks
how lucky she is to have him.

        Darien and Serena sat there in the park just thinking about the way
things were in
each other arms.
