Serena yelled. She watched in horror as her son hit the wall and fell to the floor with a soft thud. Everyone seemed to literally freeze as they realized what had happened. Serena's eyes widened as she stared at the limp form of Derrick. Then they narrowed with raw anger as she turned towards the youma. "That was the LAST mistake you will ever make in this life and after." She said through clenched teeth. SUN CRYSTAL SUPER "Sailor Sun NO!" Travis, Darius and Teresa yelled simultaneously. But they were either unheard or ignored as a golden light formed around the Sun Princess' hands. NOVA ANNIHILATE Everyone but Travis covered their eyes as the bright ball of light flew from Serena's hands and towards the youma. When they opened them they were shocked to see that not even the dust was left of the youma and everything around it was gone. Sailor Sun stood still for several minutes. When she finally turned to aid her son she saw that he was being cuddled by Tuxedo Mask, his unsuspecting father. "Get away from my son!" Serena said coldly as she snatched him away. The senshi and Darien were shocked. What shocked them even more was the fact that the person they considered without a heart was crying as she held the little boy in her arms and rocking back and forth on the floor where she knelt. "Derrick wake up. Mommy needs you to wake up for her. Please baby, wake up, for mommy, please wake up, wake up...." Serena said over and over again. She flinched when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking up she stared into the loving eyes of her brother. Who also had tears running down his face. "I think you need to rest." Travis said quietly. He knew that in her state of mind she didn't realize how weak she was and how dangerous it was for her if she didn't rest. But when he went to lift his nephew from her arms she jerked away. Serena stared at him with wild and frantic eyes. "No, you will not take him from me." She said frantically. Before anyone could do anything she disappeared in a bright flash of light. Travis closed his eyes for a second and drew in a deep breath before turning towards the others. They all looked at him curiously. The senshi and Darien were wondering what had just happened, the Knight of Sol and Blue Terran Knights were wondering what they should do, and Teresa and Darius were wondering if they should go after her, wherever she went. "She went to the hospital." Travis said. "I will go...alone. The rest of you, clean up this place." He commanded. He nodded towards the back of the room where Selena stood in the shadows unseen by the senshi. They quickly disappeared and Teresa and Darius took charge. "Knights, fix this damage and tend to the people." Darius said. He looked at the senshi and his brother. "We need to talk." He said as a bright blue light surrounded them and they disappeared. @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- TOKYO HOSPITAL By the time Travis got to the hospital Serena was pacing the floor in front of the ER She didn't realize that she was pale and very weak. All she knew was that her son was hurt and she would not rest until she knew that he was ok. "Ser, you need to sit down, rest." Travis said grabbing her arm and starting to pull her towards a chair. But she yanked her arm from his grasp and stared at him defiantly and angerly. "No I will not rest while my son his hurt." Serena said stubbornly. Suddenly her face crumpled up. She looked weaker and pale as she collapsed in Travis' arms. "It's all my fault! I am a terrible person." She cried out. "No, it's not." Travis said softly. "You are a loving and strong mother, sister, friend, a very wonderful person." "My son is hurt and it's all my fault." Serena sobbed. "I have failed. I failed as Sailor Moon and now I have failed as Sailor Sun." "Hey, don't you dare say that." Travis scolded looking into his sister's eyes. "You did not or have not failed, especially not as Sailor Sun." "But..." "NO BUTS!" Travis said. "What happened is NOT y our fault. You cant blame yourself." "Um, excuse me." A young man in a white jacket said. Travis and Serena looked up at a young doctor with dark reddish blond hair and dark blue eyes. He wore thin wire-frame glasses. "I'm Rick. Your son's doctor..." "How is he?" Serena asked. "Can I see him?" "Derrick is in a coma. He has some internal damage. I will have to do surgery on him. " Rick said sympathetically. "You may see him if you want. Before the surgery" @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- Selena looked at her young niece. The little girl sat silently on her bed. Daria was humming softly to herself while holding a green rose in her small hands. Selena felt her heart break. She wished that she could have been out there fighting. But she knew her sister did not want o reveal herself yet. "Please forgive me." Selena looked up to see Lena standing in the doorway. Her face was stained with tears. Selena felt her heart melt. She knew it wasn't her fault that Derrick had been hurt. Her nephew could be a handful sometimes and he was very stubborn when he wanted something or when it concerned his mother. "It is not my place to forgive." Selena said gently and softly. "I am not the one you should be asking." "I wanna go see Derrick." Daria said suddenly. She jumped off her bed and looked at her aunt. Selena nodded and grabbed the little girl's hand. Daria stared at Lena for a minute before the two disappeared in a shimmery light. Lena sat down and sighed. "Well, well, well, looks like someone wasn't doing their job." "I did everything I could." Lena said angerly. "Everything?" The voice in the shadows taunted. "If it weren't for you this never would have happened." "That's not true!" Lena cried out. "Isn't it? If I remember correctly you were the one who left." The voice said. "You abandoned your duty to destroy those weaklings." "So what if I did?" Lena demanded. "I did only what was right. And I think you should too. Or else you might find that the future is not all you want it to be." "Are you imposing something to me?" The voice asked. Before Lena could say anything she felt something sharp brush against her throat. "I don't do well when people try to tell me how to do things." "I wasn't..." "Do not lie to me Lena." "How could you be so selfish?" Lena demanded through clenched teeth. She didn't get an answer for the man in the shadows was gone. She shook her head and buried her face in her hands as sobs tore through her body. She knew what she had to do. Standing up she disappeared in a green light. @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- TOKYO PARK Darius stared at his brother through neutral eyes. He would not show how much he was angry right now. He had to stay calm. For Serena, the team and most of all the two children that were involved in the whole situation all the way around. He glanced over at his sister who nodded to him. He took one step towards the group and stopped. "Who are you." Rei demanded when she noticed the blue clad man take a step and stop. She did not trust him and she sensed that he had a lot of power and energy, as did the sailor who was with him. She did not expect the calm, cool reaction she got. "Perhaps, that is what I should be asking you, Mars." Darius said calmly. "Who are you?" "We are..." Lita started but she was cut off by Darius. "I know that you are Sailor Senshi." Darius stated matter-of-factly. "Your sole purpose was to protect the Moon Princess." "Without the Moon Princess you are nothing." Teresa said taking a step next to her brother. "You have no purpose of being here. To do anything here." "You see, you were created to protect the Princess." Darius said. "Without her to protect you are completely useless." "As for you." Teresa said looking strait at Darien. Showing no emotion in her eyes whatsoever. Blocking everything from them so he could not see past them. "You were the beloved of her." "You were meant to protect her more than anything." Darius said. "You were meant to rule beside her." "Without her, you are nothing." Teresa said. "You also have no purpose to be here." "What we said was kinda cheesy huh?" Darius wispered. Teresa nodded. Everything sounded so much better in her head. Now that she heard it out loud she realized how dense it sounded. She just hoped that they got the point across. "I don't believe you." Darien said. Teresa rolled her eyes. Guess they didn't get it. She was about to say something, but before she could someone else spoke up. "It's true." @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- @>-->-- Well, what did you all think? I didn't really know what to write so I just wrote down whatever popped into my head. Probably isn't the greatest. But that's okay. The next chapter will be better I promise. The last part was CHEEZY but hey, I think I got the point across? Well, n.e. who write to me.
