Remember Written by Adrian Edited by Lady Lina ~_^ (Disclaimers and Authors notes at the end) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The icy wind blew over the frozen tundra, but they were oblivious. The demon raised her arms, and flung her evil energy at the girl standing unflinchingly before her. The girl was swept up in a tower of ice that reached for the sky. It seemed that all was lost, the battle done, and Beryl was sure of her victory. But then... The top of the ice tower shattered and split open like a flower in bloom. Standing there was an angel in a white gown. She raised her arms, and held before her what seemed to be a star. The demon queen flung all her evil power at the girl, and dark met light with a flash of energy. The girl stood, her long hair blown back by an unseen wind. She gave a cry in a language unknown, and the demon vanshed. The light engulfed the girl, the angel, and she slowly died. She fell from the top of the ice tower. "NOOO!!" Adrian screamed as she sat up in her bed. That was the sixth time she had had the dream in as many days, and as always she was covered in sweat. "It's only a dream, it's only a dream ... isn't it?" she asked herself as she stared out the window at the northern lights. Suddenly she gasped. Those weren't the lights of the aroura... grabbing her parka, Adrian rushed out into the night. The icy wind blew over the frozen tundra, but she was oblivious to it. Adrian had arrived just in time to see the angel fall from the tower of ice. "Maybe I'm not too late..." but when she reached the bottom of the tower she knew. Still, Adrian was surprised by what she saw. Four girls lay in the snow, their short dresses cut to ribbons. Odd burn marks criss-crossed their bodies. A man lay on his stomach, his long cape shredded, and splinters of crystal embedded in his back. Then Adrian saw the angel. She lay in the snow, looking like she was sleeping peacefully. What had in the dream appeared to be a star was in reality a wand, shaped liked the moon and set with a crystal. It lay in the snow nearby. Adrian knelt next to the wand and tears froze on her cheeks. 'After all the girl had done, she is dead and left to lay in the snow?' she thought silently. "It cannot be," Adrian cried aloud, "It isn't right!" She reached out and touched the crystal. "I could have helped, I should have known!" The icy wind blew over the frozen tundra, but they were oblivious. Adrian stared disbelieving at the woman standing in front of her. She wore a dark dress, similar in style but not in color to the dresses of the girls laying dead in the snow. Her long green hair was blowing behind her in the breeze. She held a tall key shaped staff in her hands. "Who are you?" Adrian whispered. The woman turned her red eyes on the girl in front of her. "I am Sailor Pluto, Guardian of the Timegate. I heard my Princess call to me, so I have come to grant her final wish." "Princess?" Adrian looked at the girl in the white dress, and was not surprised to hear of her royal blood. "What did she ask for?" Pluto looked at the girl for a moment before answering. "To be a normal teenager. To fight with her parents instead of with demons. To worry about fashion instead of the fate of the world. To sleep all night without dreams of the past or nightmares of the future. I have come to grant this wish. I have come to take them all to a different time, where Beryl never existed. I have come to give them a new start, and to make them forget." She raised her staff and the red orb glowed. The six bodies raised into the air and vanished in a flash of light. Pluto turned to the girl in front of her once more. "To make them forget, but not to make them forgotten. Remember, Adrian." she whispered. Then she too vanished. The icy wind blew over the frozen tundra, and Adrian sat up in her bed. 'What a strange dream.' she thought. 'I could almost believe that it really happened.' Walking into the next room, she suddenly stopped. Laying on the table was a wand, shaped like the moon but lacking the crystal. As she reached out and picked it up, she seemed to hear a voice say "Remember." Looking out the window she saw a tower of ice. She smiled and walked into the kitchen. Sitting down with a cup of cappichenio, Adrian began to write. *** Three years later, in central Tokyo *** Usagi walked through the bookstore, trying to find a book that Ami didn't already own. A book jacket caught her eye, and she stopped. The cover was all too famillar... It showed an angel in white, standing atop a pillar of ice in the frozen artic tundra. She held a crystal before her, and her long blond pigtails were blown back by an unseen wind. The title read "The Last Battle" by Adrian Anderson. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Contrary to popular belief, I do not own Sailor Moon. If anybody in those big offices read this and want to change that, it's fine with me. Otherwise, I made no money so please don't sue me. All you'd get is a computer, a TV, and some fanfic manuscripts, so I really don't think it'd be worth it anyway. Special Thanks to Lady Lina for proofreading this thing and helping with my numorous spelling mistakes. "Senshi under Siege" is writer's blocked and the next chapter got lost at school. (oops. he he, well, I'm sure I'll find it soon. Keep your fingers crossed!) I have another story halfway done. It's called "Ladies and Gentlemen Of the Jury" and I hope it will be done soon. Well, that's all for now. See ya after my next story!! --Adrian
