Chapter 3 Serenity and the scouts met in the royal quarters within a few minutes of leaving the gym. "Are you all right?" Venus asked Mars. "Yeah," She answered. "Apparently, she healed me at the end of the fight." "What do you guys think of her?" Serenity asked. "Personally," Mars stated, "I think we should be careful. She's very strong; even for a super. It's almost unreal!" "Which is why I want her on OUR side," Venus commented. "I think we should give her a chance," Mercury said, "She was probably just nervous. She seems so open, trusting and friendly, so she'd most likely expect the same from us. She's obviously comfortable with anyone anywhere; more of a happy-go-lucky type," she turned to the queen, "Doesn't that remind you of someone?" Then it hit her. Now Neo-Queen Serenity now knew what it was that was bothering her. Danielle reminded her too much of herself, no, her old self. The klutzy, innocent, boy crazy, immature Serena of the past. It wasn't a dislike she was feeling; just memories of her turbulent adolescence, and now she could work on putting those feelings aside and judging Danielle for who she really was. "You're right Mercury," she stood up and put her fist on the table, "she deserves another chance. We've taken our anger and frustration of the past month out on her. We need to find a way to lighten up!" "Hey," Jupiter had an idea, "Why don't we throw another ball? It worked last time, remember? When Michael and Mercury planned one to get our minds off of Zeldelak?" "Great idea!" Venus said, "It could be in honor of rebuilding Crystal Tokyo and the newest senshi!" It was agreed, and the girls started making the plans. <> <> <> <> <> "You know that's really quite a wonderful voice you've got there, Danielle," Endymion complimented as they meandered down the halls. "Thanks. Do you sing?" she said expectantly. "Me?" He laughed, "No way!" Danielle looked surprised, "Hmm. You should try it sometime. You might surprise yourself." She smiled inwardly. "I don't think so." "Why not? I'll bet you have a great voice." "You think so, huh?" he said just to humor her. "Sure, and even if you don't, songs are still a way of getting what you're feeling down in words." "I guess that's true." Danielle giggled, "I bet you'd come up with some pretty good love songs." Endymion laughed, "Yeah, sure," he said sarcastically. "No, I'm serious." "Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't seem like the serious type," he teased. "Hey!" They both laughed, "It sure is great to see him again," Danielle thought. "Well," she said, "I'd better get to my hotel and check on Motoki. We're going to look for an apartment later tonight." "Motoki?" Endymion looked curious. "Yeah, you know, my son," she said. "Oh yeah," he showed her to the gate, "Just out of curiosity, how'd you pick the name?" Danielle smiled, "There was a Motoki who was a good friend of mine," she answered and left. When she was gone, Endymion looked at an old picture of him and his best friend at the arcade. "She is my age, and she seems to know her way around Tokyo pretty well. Maybe she knew...Nah!"
