This is a story about worlds perfect couple (Serena & Darien well duh) in a not so perfect situation. This story is rated PG13 mainly because of some swearing and volience nothing major but just a fair warning. In this fan fic Serena is 18 and Darien is 20 you'll need to know that later on. As you know I own absolutly no rights for Sailor Moon all rights and stuff go to Naoko Takeuchi. Hope you like it^_^

"Together Forever Know Matter What"

	"Hi is Serena here?" Darien asked at the front porch of her house caught in a down pour. "Yes, oh and you must be Darien I heard so much about you please please come in" Serena's mother insisted. Darien sat patiently on the couch soaked from head to toe for about ten minutes until he heard Serena come raging down the stairs.  "Sorry Muffin, I'm running majorly late" Serena blurted out while grabbing her coat off the coat hanger. "It's all right but there's a problem" Darien began "I took my motorcycle and not my car and half way to your house it started raining."
	"That's ok I suppose that explaines why your so wet, but you look cute even when your wet" Serena giggled and then pushed a piece of his midnight black hair out of his eyes. "You always look cute know matter what" Darien laughed and he put his hands around Serena's waist as they kissed on the lips. The mother and Sammy were in the kitchen spying at the time going unnoticed by the young couple. "Shall we go?" Darien asked "yeah but we can't go to the park anymore, oh man" Serena sighed. "No matter we can go to  the Silver Moon resturant my treat" Darien said enthusiastically. "That sounds great" Serena replied as radiant as the sun, then they headed out the door.
	When Serena and Darien arrived at Silver Moon resturant many people stared at them mainly because of how wet they were. Darien was wearing black dockers, a blue polo shirt, with a hunter green sports jacket. As for Serena she had a pale pink dress on that was ankle length and it was a sleeveless top. The couple had a cozy booth in a far off corner and they discussed many topics from video games to college. After nearly three hours of talking they decieded to head home. Luckily for them the rain had stopped and Darien's motorcycle was almost completely dry.
	When Serena and Darien arrived at her house both of them were reluctant to say good bye. Serena stood on the first step to her porch "Good bye my handsome Muffin" she whispered. "Sleep well my meatball head" Darien answered back, and the two engaged in a passionite kiss. Then Serena left and headed towards the door. "So Serena how was your date with Darien?" Serena mother inquried. "Fine but you weren't spying like last time were you?" Serena said and her mother only turned apple red.
	When Darien arrived home there was an unexpected surprise waiting for him. "What the hell get out of here now!!!!!!" Darien shouted reaching for his transformation rose. "Oh shit we better split now" the first robber ordered "Right but hold on" the second one agreed. Darien froze and couldn't move he just stared at the two robbers. The apartment had be ruined apprarently it looked as if the two were searching for money and other pricey goods. Then only seconds later the second robber pulled a gun and fired two shots.
	Darien clasped on the ground as the two masked robbers escaped. The pain surged through his body nubbing his mind and body. He clucked his stomach were he had been shot twice gasping for breath. The blood flowed out into a huge puddle staining the frost colored carpet, and his clothes were soaked in warm blood. Soon Darien was coughing up blood and then there was nothing only complete darkness. He could feel his pulse dropping, unable to move, the faint vocies of people, and sirens from the ambulance. 
	"Mom the date was fine, Dariens a great guy you know that" Serena laughed. Her mother was still firing question after quesion. "So Serena how did your date with Darien go or is it *Muffin* pucker up" Sammy teased. "Have you been reading my diary you rottin little spore come here" Serena yelled. Serena chased her younger brother around the house "Shut-up Sammy the phone is ringing I'll get it" Serena ordered. "Hello is this Miss Smith" a doctor asked, "Yes, who is this?" Serena asked. "Your friend Darien Shields has been in a terrible accident" the doctor said claimly "What?" Serena gasped while sitting on her bed.
	"He is at St. Joepsh Hospital in the operation room right now" the doctor replied. "Well what kind of accident? When can I see him?" Serena blurted out as tears began free falling from her face. "I recommend you come down here to see your friend I will fill you in with the details later ok?" the doctor finished. "Ok" Serena whispered and hung up the phone. "Mom, Darien has been in an accident I am going to the hospital" Serena said shakily, "Serena I'll give you a ride" her mother said worriedly. "No, I am going to go by myself I'll take a cab ok" Serena choked. "Ok dear" her mother replied.
	"Is he going to be all right!!!!" Serena asked trembling with a never ending stream of salty tears trickle there way down her face. "We aren't sure yet, but he is out of the operation room and you may see him you like" Doctor Greeve said claimly. "Ok" Serena sobbed into her hands the doctor gave her the room number which was 319. When Serena walked down the hall searching for room 319 the hallways were crowded but none of that matter it was as if nothing else was there. Then she found the room, the shades were closed along with the door but the fumes of blood, medician, and cleaners were almost unbearable. Then an elder nurse walked out of the room with a grim expression on her face "I'm sorry this is the hardest part of my job, he won't make it your friend has only a few hours to live."
	"What please say it's not true I...I love this man you have to help him, please" Serena cried. Her world was caving in on her, her only love was taken away by some low life robber. Serena leanded against the glass as the reality hit her and the color draned from her face and she fell to the ground. With in seconds the elder nurse revived the young lady. "I am truely sorry but try to enjoy his last hours together make him laugh cheer him up ok" the nurse said in a gentle tone. Serena nodded her head in agreement and grabbed the kleenex box to wipe of the tears but she was still awefully pale.
	When she opened the door the site was heart wrenching Darien was hooked up to tubes of all sorts. The room was dim a fading light was the only one in the room. Darien looked like a ghost he was pale as ever with bandages rapped tightly around his stomach. "Darien are...are you awake?" Serena asked chokingly while taking a seat next to him in a chair. "Hi Serena glad to see you" Darien said weakly with a half smile one his face. "I... I can't believe someone would do this to you" Serena whispered as her tears flowed down her face. 
	"Don't cry, I'm still normal Darien see" Darien said jokingly pointing to himself, Serena let out a little giggle. "You know what" Darien began "What" Serena asked. "That saying is right I would rather die tonight than live forever without meeting you I never believed it until now" Darien finished. "How can you be so brave with all this" Serena sobbed. "Well you and I both know I am going to die whether I want to or not so I mine as well do what that song says have the time of your life, but to be honest I'm just as scared as you" Darien answerwed. 
	After a few more minutes Serena stopped crying and the two began to talk. "Serena I was going to give this to you on our next date but I guess it is now or never, will you marry me?" Darien asked sitting up in the bed with a little vevlet black box in his hands. Serena let out a gasp of surprise "yes, yes I will marry you" Serena cried, but these were not tears of saddness but of joy. The ring had a small but beautiful dimond surronded by ten even small dimonds. On the inside of the ring was a inscription: Together forever. By this point both Serena and Darien were crying  as Serena slipped the magnificent ring on her fingure. 
	After the joyous moment Serena could tell Darien was going die soon he began to have unstudy breathing and would became weaker in the hours to come. Serena felt awefully tired and tried to stiff a yawn but it escaped, she had been up for nearly 24 hours straight. "Go to sleep Serena you must be exhausted" Darien said  gently. Serena didn't want the sleep to take over but found she couldn't refuse the offer and stuggled up with an extra blanket Darien handed her. Darien didn't sleep he just looked at Serena as she lay peacefully in the chair "I'll always be with you know matter what" he whispered and with on finally breath he closed his eyes forever.
	Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep the heart moniter went off waking Serena up from her sleep. "What were am I oh... Darien, come on wake up Darien it's me Serena" Serena exclaimed shaking the lifeless body. Then the same elder nurse walked in "he's gone honey to a better place" she said placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "NO!!!!!!!We were suppose to be together forever see" Serena yelled waving the ring in her face. "You should have helped him get better but you didn't I hate you it's all your fault!!!!!!!" Serena screamed and ran out the room. 
	Serena went to the bathroom where know one else was and immediatly began vomitting in a toliet. About 15 minutes later Serena walked out and looked terrible her hair was a mess all mated down, her eyes has rings under them, and her eyes were blood shot. She had to get some air so she went outside and began walking she had know destination and it didn't really matter to her because her soulmate was gone now and forever. She found herself enter the arcade. When she arrived Andrew walked over and began firing question after question at her like "Where were you?" What's wrong?" and "What happened?" All Serena did was fall to the ground and cried. 
	She sat aganist a glass window and cried for nearly ten minutes without looking up causing a big seen and when she did all she was able to choke out is "He's gone, Darien's gone." Lita was at the arcade to and ran over "What is it come on you can tell me I'm your friend" she said helping Serena up. After Serena stopped her trail of tears her and Lita went outside to talk. The two friends sat on a bench "So what's wrong did Darien dump you?" Lita asked claimly. "No, he...he...he died he was shot in the...in the stomach twice" Serena answered.
	"Serena I'm sorry you two were so close" Lita replied as a few tears escaped her eyes but Lita didn't care. After that Serena told Lita the story on how Darien was shot by two masked robbers. "If there is anything I can do just tell me ok?" Lita asked. "Would you tell the others? I have some work to do" Serena answered. "Sure" Lita said and got up from the bench with Serena. Serena went home and explained ever thing to her parents about the robbers, shooting, and why she wasn't home last night. 
	When Lita told Ray, Amy, Mina, and Andrew it was a shocker Andrew and Ray took it the worst next to Serena. The next day was the hardest day for Serena ever the six of them (Serena, Lita, Mina, Ray, Amy, and Andrew) had to plan Dariens funeral. The day they chose couldn't have been more beautiful the sun was high, it was warm, the birds chruped, and ever thing was perfect except it was a funeral and not a wedding.  It was a huge gathering with friends Serena never even knew existed. That night Serena gazed out the window and saw the brightest shooting star ever right by the spectacular golden cresent moon.

Serena sighed holding her star locket that played a soothing melody "I know we will be together forever."
