Golden Children (part 3) By: Lady of Earth (Aya-chan): lady_of_earth@hotmail.com Garnet: chibi_chibi_acky@hotmail.com Disclaimer: No own, no money, no sue, okay doekay? +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_ Usagi carried her school bag in front of her, while in deep thoughts. She felt bad for knocking Taiyo out the other day. After all, he was the other brother she never had. Always teasing, always pesting, but he neverthless, he loves her. She felt pretty angry that she didn't get a chance to talk longer with him. But what really made her furious at herself, had nothing to do with Taiyo at all. It was the fact that tears weld up in her eyes when she had seen Mamoru. She gritted her teeth slowly, jaw clenched tightly as she thought of it. Whacking her head clearly has no use. What she really needed was to forget all about him. To...erase him out of her mind. She let out a frustrated sigh. Right. That would be easy. She'd probably erase ALL of her memories in the process. "Yeah, nice thinking Usagi-baka." She muttered to herself, until someone slapped her really hard on the back. "Usa-chan! Just the person I wanted to see!" Exclaimed...Taiyo. Usagi gulped, the memory of her tossing her book bag at him paralyzing her in fear. In fact, it was playing over and over again...as if endless. She hated feeling guilty. "Er, Ohayo Taiyo-chan." She greeted nervously. "Ohayo Imouto! Nice day isn't it?" He said, cheerfully. She nodded. "Yup, certainly is. Not a cloud in the sky, birds are singing... no school bags falling out of the sky..." Taiyo stopped as he threw her a stern look. Usagi could only give him a sheepish smile. Before Taiyo managed to grab her by the neck, she let out a squeal. "Gomen ne, Taiyo-chan!" "All I want to know, imouto, is what did I say or do that was so bad that I deserved to have a school bag flung into my face." Taiyo said, half growling. Usagi could only stare in shock, as she saw the sudden transformation. Her Taiyo-chan was looking...well, furious! That was the first time she saw anything like that. And it amused her. She broke into a grin, which surprised Taiyo. And then she started to laugh. Then, it was Taiyo's turn to be stunned. His previous experiences had been that, everytime he got angry with someone, they would be taken back. Even afraid. But not Usa-chan. She was laughing her head off. Taiyo muttered under his breath as Usagi tried to calm herself down. "Gomen, Onii-chan! I really am! But you just look..." She burst out laughing once again. "You know, Princess, I'm suppose to be angry at you." Taiyo said with a sigh. Usagi tried to supress a giggle and pulled a straight face. "I've just never seen you look so...'dangerous' before, Onii-chan." She said innocently. And as if on cue, she burst out laughing again. He let out another sigh and a smile. He ruffled her hair. "Better get on going, little one." He said tenderly. "I'm not little anymore, Onii-chan." Usagi said, almost sadly. "I know. But you always will be my little sister to me." He said, then adding, "No matter what happens." Usagi's smile froze. Her insides just seem to turn cold. What did Taiyo mean? This Taiyo was different than the Taiyo the other day. Then again, that's Taiyo for you. One minute he's cracking up jokes, the next... She forced a smile on her face and punched him playfully on the arm. "Whatever! But you've got to go before YOU're late for class!" She exclaimed. His eyes widened as he checked her watch. She was right. "Ack! Baka! Ja ne, Princess!" He shouted out, before running full speed towards Azabu, leaving a cloud of dust behind. Usagi grinned again. "That's my Taiyo-chan." She said, coughing a little at the dust. __________________________________ In the North, trouble was brewing. Dark clouds were forming, as if to tell the citizens of Tokyo to the approaching evil. Except of course, the citizens have no idea it was a warning and thought rain was approaching. Taiyo looked out of his apartment. He knew the signs he saw. His years of fighting these forces has trained his senses for these kinds of warnings. He let out a sigh. "Looks like no fun for me." He muttered. Out of the thin air, he pulled out a perfect white rose. He looked at it for a while. "Seems like I need you after all." He whispered and then his eyes looked at the skies again. And unknown to him, about a few block away, down at a house in the Juuban district, Usagi was looking out at the sky as well. She saw the circle around the moon, a warning of the oncoming trouble. But she looked away quickly and let out a sigh. It wasn't her place anymore. It wasn't her duty anymore. It stopped being her duty when her friends stopped trusting her. Friends...She let out a bitter laugh. What a joke it all turned out to be. All that crap about sticking up for each other... About trust... Friends forever... In one frustrated moment, she knocked over the books on her table. She tried calming herself down. Or at least, make her breathing less rapid. She covered her eyes with her hand, in hopes to make it all go away. But it wouldn't go away. She let out a long sigh. She still needed time to heal from that. She had at least thought her friends would stick by her side. After all, her Prince had left her. Her eyes turned cold at the thought. She gritted her teeth, cursing herself for letting him enter her thoughts. But she soon found herself at calm...after knocking a couple more books on the ground and shouting at Shingo that is. Mina too, had been looking at the sky. She could see the brightness of Venus, miles and miles away. She felt the longing for her old home. The happiness that surrounded her before. Her ever caring mother, the former senshi of Venus. She saw the darkness surrounding Venus, her way of telling trouble's heading their way. She looked at her transformation pen. She still would fight. Minako knew she couldn't just stay still, especially when she knew what was coming. But she also knew that she can't fight as Sailor Venus anymore. Her eyes rested on the crescent moon mirror. Her Sailor V mirror. Instantly, she smiled as she went and picked it up. Perhaps it was time to revive good 'ol V-chan after all. Thinking about Usagi at this, and remembering what she had told her about giving the locket back to Luna, her stomach sank, and she felt an oncoming headache. And after this... everything she went through...She didn't know what would happen. What if Usagi's was in trouble? What would happen then? She had given up her powers as the senshi of the moon; she couldn't protect herself anymore. Mina looked at the sky once again, and for once, she wished she had answers. _______________________ Some people might have that Chibi Usa was a rather annoying and snotty little girl. Even if she was all those things, she certainly wasn't stupid. So you could be sure that she could pick things up rather quickly. Pick things up quickly she did, but act on it, she did not. Snuggling into Mamoru's lap as he read her a bedtime story, she observed his actions carefully. He would stutter over simple words, have to go back and read lines over and over again to get them to make sense, and at the end of the story, when the princess was awakened by the prince's kiss, Mamoru looked about ready to break into tears. "Mamo-chan... is something wrong?" She asked as he finally closed the book with a far away look in his eyes. "Iie, I'm all right... but it's time for you to get into bed, little girl!" He swung her up into his arms, carrying her into his bedroom. "But MAMO-CHAAAAAAAAN! I'm not tired, and it's your last night in Tokyo!" She yawned as he tucked her in. "But I'll see you in the morning, won't I?" He gave her a charming grin. "Oh... all right, g'night Mamo-chan." 'Kami-sama, she reminds me so much of Usako...' He thought sadly as he prepared himself for another sleepless night. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ That's all, folks! Please email? Please? Let us know if we should continue!
