Ikuko poked her head into Usagi's room and saw her fast asleep. Seiya peeked in behind her, then went back to his room where Yaten and Taiki were waiting. "She's still asleep. I think something happened to her last night." Seiya reported, frowning. Yaten stared at Seiya. "What do you mean?" "Well, you said that you guys had sensed an attack here on earth, before we left, right?" Seiya asked. The other two nodded. "I think Usagi-chan had a visitor last night." Yaten and Taiki both frowned. "Who?" Taiki asked. "Mamoru-kun." Seiya mouthed, not taking the chance of the passing Ikuko would hear them. Yaten nodded and Taiki merely bit his lip in wonder. "She is still grieving for him." Taiki said, looking out the window. "We should go to the meeting and cover for her. Explain to Rei-chan what happened." Seiya nodded. "Let's go get some breakfast and head on over. It's almost ten anyway." Twenty minutes later, the trio trudged up the temple stairs, still wondering about Usagi's condition. "Hey, guys! Where's Usagi- chan?" Minako called as she ran up the stairs behind them. She didn't act the least bit surprised they were there. "Hey, Yaten-kun!" Minako said, giving into his request for a hug. Seiya and Taiki watched them with mild amusement. "I hate to break up your little reunion," Taiki said, clearing his throat, "but I do believe we have a meeting? To answer your question, Usagi-chan had somewhat of a rough night. She's still at home sleeping." Minako gave Taiki an odd look, but didn't ask questions. "Relax, Minako-chan... we'll explain inside." Yaten whispered. Minako couldn't help but be silenced and smiled as she walked into the temple. "Lights!" Rei shouted as she caught site of the three behind Minako. "What are you doing here?" Seiya smiled. "None of your biz, pyro." he joked, smiling at Rei. "We're staying at Usagi-chan's house since her dad and brother are out of town." "Well then where is she?" "Wait until the others get here, Rei-chan." Seiya hissed. "And don't get so upset. She has good reason to not be here." Rei glared at Seiya, but remained quiet. "Lights!" came from the door. The group turned to see Ami and Makoto standing there, with Hotaru not too far behind them. "Hey, guys how's things going?" Ami greeted. Rei grinned and stood up. "Okay, we know Usagi-chan's apparently not going to be here. Care to explain why, Seiya-kun?" she said, glaring at him. "Rei-chan, you should know as well as anybody what happened to her last night." Yaten retorted. Rei got a blanched look. "How would I know? You're the ones who are living with her right now!" "She had a visitor." Seiya said, softly. "Mamoru-kun from the way it seemed." Rei blanched again. "You're kidding me, right? I did not sense a thing..." she muttered. Seiya shook his head. "No joke. I went to tell her goodnight and I heard her talking to someone. 'Mamo-chan' of course." Minanko laid a comforting hand on Rei's shoulder. "Don't worry about it, Rei-chan... maybe it's just what Usagi-chan needed. Besides, we need to figure out who attacked yesterday." Hotaru spoke up. "Haruka- and Michiru-chan are gone." she announced solemnly. This got everyone's attention. "WHAT?" They all exclaimed at once. Hotaru looked down at her feet sadly and sat down. She gave motions for the others to do the same. When everyone was seated, she began her story. FLASHBACK Hotaru could feel herself floating in a void. She clutched her chest. If she felt it, no doubt another time of awakening would come soon. She felt the assurance of her brooch and closed her eyes, waiting for the call to come. Ribbons flew out of the brooch and surrounded Hotaru's small form. "My child, Messiah of Silence, wake up." a soothing voice said, while the ribbons solidified. "Your friends need you. Sailor Uranus and Neptune's lives have already tipped the scales and will be gone soon. Usagi-chan and the others will need your support." Saturn gasped as she stood up. "Michiru-mama? Haruka-papa?" she cried. "What happened? Please, tell me before I go!" A gentle wind stirred and in front of Saturn stood Themis. Saturn merely gasped at the girl. "Sailorthemis?" she cried, her hand flying to her mouth while in the other, the silence glaive formed. The woman smiled, "It is I, Saturn." she said. "I am in the future with my sister, Apollo. She knows I am there, but in truth, I don't know who I am. You know where we belong, don't you dear?" Saturn remembered Pluto telling her about this small group of senshi, ones of who were the only ones who could summon Pegasus, aside from Chibi-Usa. "What's wrong with Chibi-Usa-chan?" Saturn demanded, tears brimming in the corners of her eyes. Themis smiled a sad smile. "You remember the final battle against the wiseman. You know what Usagi-chan did then." she said, motioning in front of them. The images of Usagi unleashing her most powerful attack yet filled Saturn's senses... then she had the sense of time travel while still stuck in one time line, yet moving into another not too far away. "No..." Saturn gasped. "Masaka!" she shouted. "Go, my child. Your friends need your help. Uranus and Neptune have already parted for their truths." With that, Saturn disappeared to the gates. END FLASHBACK "Masaka..." Usagi whispered from the door. She, obviously, had woken up and hurried to the temple quick as she could. "Hotaru-chan, what is happening?" Usagi asked, her voice and hands trembling. Seiya stood up next to Usagi to comfort her. "Usagi-chan, we don't know what's going on." Hotaru glanced at Usagi and Seiya, and knew immediately that they had no memory of what had happened in that time. She knew things needed to be fixed, and soon. THE FUTURE "ALERT! ALERT! All soldiers to report to positions AT ONCE! ALERT! Citizens take shelter, there has been an attack!" The alert sounded over all of Crystal Tokyo, to the surprise of Serenity. Her head snapped up when she heart it. "Shimatta!" she exclaimed. She quickly summoned the Sage. "What is happening?" she demanded. The sage's face was pale and drawn. "I don't know." he admitted. "I sense a familiar enemy, though, one that you have faced before as Sailor Moon... maybe your last..." "Take Chibi-Usa-chan and protect her with your *life* Serenity commanded. "If anything happens to her, I'm holding you responsible!" The sage nodded and picked up Chibi-Usa's small form before shimmering and disappearing to an underground shelter somewhere. Serenity hurried out of the infirmary and saw Wakusei standing in front of her. Her eyes were wide in terror. "Wakusei-chan, go find a shelter and hide! Chibi-Usa-chan will be fine, go and hide yourself so you won't get hurt!" Serenity commanded, and hurried her down the hall towards the royal shelters. Suddenly, Wakusei collapsed to the ground, clutching her head and writhing in pain. "Wakusei-chan!" Serenity exclaimed. Not wasting any time, she scooped the small girl up in her arms and continued to run with her. Halfway to the shelters, the unthinkable happened. Wakusei let out a scream that rivaled Chibi-Usa's when Rubeus was after her. A sign began to glow on Wakusei's forehead and she rose from Serenity's arms. Not noticing the alarms still going off around her, Serenity stared in shock as energy began pouring out of Wakusei's chest where an ancient amulet was hidden. "MASAKA!" Serenity yelled. She knew she didn't have any use there, but she just had to see if she was right... A few seconds later, Wakusei - now a sailor senshi, floated to the ground and landed deftly on her feet. "Serenity, go gather the senshi to erect a shield! It's chaos!" she commanded. "Wakusei-chan what happened?" "I am one of them! I am part of them!" Wakusei cried, laughing and nearly crying at the same time. "I'm Sailorapollo! Sailorthemis is here somewhere! Why are we here?" Serenity spun around and raced towards the contact room. She quickly sent out a message to all of the imperial queens and the princesses. "We need your power here, an attacker, Wakusei-chan says its Chaos, has taken offensive to the city. We need a shield pronto!" Sailor Mercury appeared next to Serenity. "This Chaos is very strong. Like it's been dormant for a long time, just biding it's power until it had the right opportunity to attack." "And with Endymion gone and Chibi-Usa-chan in her state, now must have seemed like the most opportune time." A voice said from behind the two. "HELIOS!" Serenity screamed. "Did Wakusei-chan summon you?" The young boy shook his head. "She did not. It was someone else with a power much higher than hers. I have bad news, however..." "Helios?" a gasp came from down the hallway. Turning, the trio saw yet ANOTHER new sailor senshi. "Sailorneith." Helios nodded in recognition, then turned back to Serenity. "Serenity, Michiru-sama and Haruka-sama are no longer here. They have disappeared somehwere in time." he said. "Chibi-Usa- chan is in a critical state. Sailorneith, what's the status on Pluto?" he asked. The one called Neith blinked once, then opened a portal. "She is there, but she is fading out quickly." she warned. "I wondered why I was here..." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Oooh cliffhanger! Anywayz, there's your catch-up time for now!
