  I'm watching you, sleeping like 

a baby. So peaceful. Now it's my 

turn to protect you. To me, you're 

precious as a jewel. I just can't 

bear the thought of losing you. 



  I almost did.



  I sighed as I leaned my ear 

against your chest. Listened to 

your steady breathing and slow 

heartbeat. 



  I smiled when you didn't even 

wake up. You must be tired from 

our recent fight. I couldn't 

sleep. How can I? This morning 

events kept on playing on my mind.



  I was tied on a block of wall. 

Bounded by the vines on my wrists, 

legs and waist.



  I woke up and broke free from 

those bounds when I saw you lying 

helpless on the floor. I ran. As 

you saw me running, you shouted at 

me, telling me not to go any 

further. Panic was in your eyes, 

when you saw me being shot by 

arrows.

 

  You froze, you couldn't move. I 

know that you couldn't believe 

that I was doing this for you. For 

my part I was guilty for forcing 

you to be a senshi. This is my 

sacrifice to you. Eudial shoot me, 

the Talisman suddenly appeared.  

 

  As I fell to the ground, your 

face flashes inside my mind. 

Everything about you began playing 

like a video. From the first time 

we met, until the first time 

together as lovers, that you 

whispered to my ear 'I love you'. 



  Then I blacked out.



  I regain consciousness and saw 

Usagi-chan holding the Holy Grail. 

We were both surprised the fact 

that we're both alive. 



  After this living nightmare, you 

wanted to forget it all. You don't 

want to talk about it. You 

wouldn't even look at me. 

 

  My head was spinning with 

questions. How did your Talisman 

appear? All of the sudden you hold 

my hand. I look up, you were 

looking ahead of the road.

  "Usagi was there. And," You 

whispered. "I couldn't live 

without you."

 

  My eyes filled with tears when I 

realized what you did. You shot 

yourself. You seemed to read my 

mind when you nodded at me. You 

let go of my hand and your arms 

went around my shoulders. I leaned 

to you tighter as we moved out of 

this place. I promised myself not 

to enter any cathedral anymore. 



  You stirred from your sleep. I 

didn't realize that I was actually 

crying.

  "Michiru?" You whispered and I 

tightened my embraced around your 

waist. 

 

  I couldn't control my tears any 

longer. I started to cry. Your 

hand went towards my hair and 

began stroking it. While the other 

brushing it lightly against my 

bare back.

  "Shh… Don't cry, it's over now." 

You whispered, kissing me softly 

on the head. "I'm here."

  I couldn't seem to stop from 

crying. You began to hum a soft 

song, the song that you loved. I 

smiled a little because that's the 

song I composed and dedicated to 

you.



  With my eyes closed I listened 

to your song and felt your hand 

stroking my back. 



  I am happy. Once again you 

protected me against the sadness 

and loneliness I feel.



  My tears subside and I slowly 

drifted to sleep. After the song, 

you kissed me on the forehead. 

  "Aishiteru, my Michiru." You 

whispered.

  "Aishiteru," I whispered. 



  My senshi.

  My best friend.

  My beloved.

  "My Haruka." Finally I fell 

asleep and felt safe in her loving 

arms.
