United Love Prologue Rated PG (concerning the majority of the story) A tale written by Guardian Angel One. For starters, unless Miss Naoko feels VERY generous, Sailor Moon isn't mine (at least, not in this world...). This is my first fic. I tried writing out the entire story a couple months ago, but only got to chapter three, and nothing had really happened. SO, I'm just going to send it when it comes, which may be rather slow. Feel free to e-mail me (pure_angel_i@yahoo.com) if you like it, hate it, or are confused (I understand I ramble, but I think I don't, at least I try not too, so stop picking on me! I'm human... at least I try to be... umm, back to the notes). My story is complicated. I basically took out the dreams, Reni, and future from the R episodes and am playing them out now. I will also bring together the past characters (Queen Serenity, the Scouts in their princess forms, and their parents), the present characters, and the future characters. What would their reactions be to each other? I also made the past and the future alternate realities, where Serena dies, but this I have a reason for this, which I will explain later. Just trust me on this. I will be mixing the manga version and the anime, both Japanese and the American, so if you don't know one, you might want to check it out (it's really cool! I read the translation by Alex Glover, which is very supreme). But I'm saying too much (I will not ramble in the story, I will not ramble in the story, I will NOT ramble... ugh!). I am writing this too explain the characters and their actions from my perspective. From some stories I've read so far, I get the impression some relationships and characters are taken at face value. I've only seen the American dub, and am basing what I've learned from other sites about the Outers. I don't know Japanese, except what little I've learned through other fics- sorry (gomen?). I know it's a lot of names, but I am a research fanatic. Each name means something that goes with the character's personality (Like Alexandra means "man's protector", which is better than Corrinne, which means "maiden". Haruka is no maiden.). In other chapters, I'll reveal more, like other characters names as they show up. Queen Desiree of Venus cried out, looking over the shoulder of Queen Dalila of Mercury, who was now cleaning the newborn. All the Queen's Scouts were present, their husbands and children waiting outside nervously. Suddenly, Dalila thrust the baby into Queen Ariel of Jupiter's arms, watching Serenity as she materialized new instruments, the same she had used to birth the new Serenity. "What is it?" Queen Ariel demanded. "Ren, are you all right?" Queen Primrose of Earth asked. Serenity could only groan in response, Dalila too busy to manage a conversation. Queen Melanie of Pluto finally pushed the concerned group back. "There is another to come." "You mean she was carrying twins?!" Desiree cried. Queen Hannah of Saturn pushed her small frame through the crowd of queens. "Yes, and she's in a lot of pain! Let me pass!" The others parted, still gaping at the sight of another head coming through. Hannah and Dalila tried to ease Serenity, and finally, a small cry could be heard once more. "Gee Sere, you and London sure are a busy couple!" remarked Queen Brenda of Uranus. She flashed a wide smile at the worn out queen and avoided Queen Cordelia of Neptune's elbow. "A BOY! London will be thrilled!" Queen Etana of Mars bellowed, cradling the new baby. "This one will be a warrior. I can already feel his strength. Nice job Sere." "Well, we already know Serenity is her name," Desiree announced, gently cooing at the girl in her arms, "but what is his going to be?" Serenity and Melody shared a secret smile. "Marcus," Serenity answered after a pause. "For Mars, Mercury, and Venus." The queens of the named planets beamed, while the others smiled. They knew why Sere had chosen those planets. Her husband was Venusian, her father was Mercurial, and her grandfather was Martian. It was a new fad to name your children by mixing the ancestor's or relative's heritage. The queens went out to see their husbands and allowed a nervous King London to half-run half-trip into the room with his wife, his older brother, King Charles of Venus laughing up a storm. "OH MY LORD!!!" could be heard from outside the marble palace walls. Now everyone was laughing. The queens explained the extra joy, causing uproars of approval from the males. After allowing them a few minutes of family time, each royal couple re-entered, along with the children, who would be the princesses protectors. The rest of the day was spent in merriment and festivities, as all ten kingdoms celebrated in happiness of their ruler's double blessing. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ O}---- The Silver Millennium, May 26, 18 BC, Universe 2 Queen Serenity looked over at the bed, where her husband, King London lay. The pillows were soaked with both their tears. She sighed as she watched all the flags being pulled down to half-mast. She looked down, tears welling up in her big blue eyes, her light blue hair falling into her eyes. She then realized her mistake- looking at her returning figure instead of the swell of pregnancy only re-opened the floodgates of tears. She suddenly felt warmth encircle her. She fell back against London, crying for what felt like was the thousandth time. He whispered comfortingly, allowing his own tears to well up, but did not release them. "Sere, please don't cry. There's nothing we could have done." His words failed miserably as they had last night. He knew he had to comfort her, but he didn't know how. "We knew something might happen. We prepared. But there was nothing we could do. The other four princesses died, it was practically a sure thing. We prepared for it. We knew there was little chance for her survival." Serenity knew this, but it would never excuse the death of the precious life that was once in her. She knew the horrible events of the other day would never change, never go away. She would live with that yesterday for the rest of her life. And now she had to tell him. It wasn't just one life that had been lost. She and the other queens had been so distraught as the last hope had died, no one had told him what was truly the reason for the incredible devastation. She finally got the courage to find her voice. This would break his heart, but at least he would understand her carrying on. "They were twins." It was the first time she had spoken in hours. He was glad she had found her voice. It was a sign of recovery. And she had talked about something pertaining to the... event last night. But all that was crushed under the stunning announcement he had to strain to hear. London froze for a second, then buried his head in her hair, allowing fresh tears to course down his cheeks. "Do you know the gender?" He didn't want to rush her, but he was too shocked to think rationally, and too grieved to care about anything else but the children and his wife. "A girl and a boy." He would order all the flags to be taken down, all the stores to lock up, and every kingdom to mourn. Silently the Moon Rulers held each other, sobbing into each other, both wanting to deny the death of their children, who had never seen the light of day. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The Silver Millennium, August 5, 4 BC, Universe 1 Serenity giggled happily as she watched the feet of Princess Raine of Mars walk around a few feet away from under her hiding place. Princess Mahira of Sun clapped her hand over Serenity's mouth, although she had giggled with her best friend. "I KNOW YOU'RE IN HERE!" Raine bellowed, furiously looking everywhere for the two. "Come out now!" "Hey RAINE! Getting a little SLOW?" Princess Margaret of Venus ran past the door to the room, shouting gleefully as she neared the door to Serenity's room, the designated safety room the game finished at. "Oh no you don't BRAT!" Raine charged out of the room. Serenity and Mahira giggled, forgetting to keep quiet. That was Raine's latest and favorite insult- brat. And she had been finding ways to use it a lot lately. Like volunteering to be "it" in their hide and seek games. A large gong banged twice, filling the entire palace with vibrations. The game was forgotten as each princess abandoned her hiding place of running and hurried to the dining room. "Late as usual, Ra, Ren? And now your getting the Scouts into the act!" teased Princess Gabrielle of Galaxia. On either side, Princess Katarina of Star and Princess Beryllian of Earth flanked her, smiling at the sight of the ten princesses. "Well Gabs, as you know, we are trying to keep our beloved Ren's weight down, and by making her late, she will have to eat less," Princess Honor of Uranus smirked, flashing a nonchalant smile and putting her arm around Serenity. "Hmph!" Ren pouted, crossing her arms. "Let's go, before there's nothing left for us," Katarina smiled and began to walk to the dining room once more. "Hey, did you hear that?" Beryllian started, cocking her head to the side. Everyone froze, listening intently. "Nah, never mind. RACE YA!" And away the Earth princess went, followed by a yelling and shrieking group. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ o}---- Same Time and Place, After Dinner "It's lovely tonight, isn't it?" Serenity smiled to her companion, looking up at the hanging Earth. Dinner had been over for an hour, and Prince Endymion of Earth had asked her for a walk. "Not as beautiful as you," he whispered in her ear, and took hold of her right hand with his, standing behind her. Serenity sighed as she felt a slight shiver crawl up her spine. she thought, internally smiling. "How are you enjoying your stay, Dymion?" "It's breathtaking here, especially when I'm around you." Serenity turned to him. "Do you mean that?" she murmured, turning around to face him, her eyes halfway closed. He chuckled softly, pulling her close. "Every word, with all my heart," was his answer. He paused, then leaned slightly in to her so their noses were slightly touching. "Your highness, may I request..." "Yes?" "A kiss?" Serenity didn't say anything, just closed her eyes and smiled slightly, waiting for him. And waiting. And waiting some more. After fifteen seconds, Serenity's smile turned into a frown and she opened her eyes. She gasped at the sight. Endymion was bent over, as he had been when he asked for the kiss. He seemed frozen solid in that stance, his eyes closed. In fact, everything seemed frozen solid. His cape and the trees were still and silent in mid-wave from a slight breeze that had suddenly disappeared. It was as if time had stopped, but without he. "Pluto?" Serenity finally called out. She walked around, looking around for the guardian of time. But Princess Sibillia of Pluto didn't come at her call. Serenity began to worry. She backed up to an oak tree, wondering at what was going on. Had something happened at the time gate? And if so, why wasn't she affected. She thought she saw some color in the bushes. Looking down, she was shocked beyond belief. There were all her scouts, caught in mid-giggle, pointing and watching Endymion and the spot Serenity had occupied. But the surprise wasn't in the fact her scouts had been spying on her. It was on the fact that all of them were there- including Sibillia! Serenity was now terrified that something had gotten around the time guardian. She looked back at the palace. And nearly fainted away. All the palace activity had stopped, the same way as the gardens had. Her brother and best friend, the princess of the Sun, were in mid-stride through the gardens. The generals were in various positions with the princesses of Earth, Star, and Galaxia, all walking toward the ballroom (most likely in search of the missing Sailors). And through the window, she could see Queen Melanie of Pluto, the official Time Guardian, and her husband, King Jalus. Her mind screamed, as she broke into full sprint towards the ballroom. And just as quickly as she had begun, she stopped. There was a man standing in the doorway to the ballroom. A handsome man, that bore a striking resemblance to the Prince Endymion. He could probably pass for the prince's twin. He was the only one wearing an entirely black silk tuxedo. But that's not what caught her attention. The fact that he had not been there before, she didn't recognize him, and was twirling a black rose did. The young man smiled, sending chills of déja vu down her back. "Serenity... I have waited long for this moment." "Who are you? What have you done? I demand you release my-" "You demand?" the man chuckled. "You cannot demand anything from me." Serenity was growing worried. Acting in command had not worked, and she wasn't sure how to approach the situation. She had a feeling crying would not do anything either. Yet, at the same time, she felt trust and familiarity with him. "Who are you?" she whispered, a part of curious, a part apprehensive, and another part determined. It was not a time to fear. "Why my dear, I am you Counterpart. Damion, please. And I have only ensured our privacy. I promise no harm… only an interesting proposition. Have you heard of the Heaven and Hell mythology?" Serenity eyes widened slightly. Damion smiled, almost charmingly, as if to mock her with his knowledge. How did he know such myths? She had found them in a roped off section in the library one early morning. Her mother had looked so startled at the mention of the story; Serenity wondered how old it actually was. Besides her and her mother, she thought no one else alive knew anything of it. Damion kept smiling, even though he really wanted to reach over and kiss her. He had yet to meet his soul mate, but knew fate had made one's counterpart and soul mate almost exact in appearance, just like he would be almost exactly alike this girl, his counterpart, in personality and power. And if his soul mate was as gorgeous as this divine creature was, may he live an eternity just staring at her. He quickly turned his thoughts back to the conversation as Serenity's gaze turned questioning. "I know it because it is true, and is to be fulfilled through you and me. My proposition, princess: are you interested in the Game?" Serenity wanted to strangle the Endymion look- alike. "What is the game?" "The battle between us and our leaders, guardians, soldiers, friends, and comrades. The fight of good and evil, it is our heritage from the Divine Rulers themselves. I am the Child of Darkness, Royal Ruler to Hell and the Four Serves, your equal." Dameon then pulled out a thin chain from under his black dress shirt. "When I was born, an unknown visitor came to pay his respects to my power. He left me this, telling my parents that one day, I would be the most powerful creature known, along with one other. He told them to tell me about all this on my fifteenth birthday. That was yesterday. And know that I know whom I am, I wish to show you who you are. " Out of his coat pocket, he pulled a similar broach, only instead of all black, this was all white. He held it out to her, widening his perfect smile slightly. Serenity stared at it, entranced. She slowly walked over, until they were four feet apart, his hand and her broach directly in front of her. She lifted her hand up, daintily placing her hand over it to grasp it. He wrapped his fingers around her hand, the locket in between. He brought her hand up to his lips, brushing them across his lips. He looked into her clear royal Caribbean blue eyes. "I will meet you later, Serenity. When you have learned and accepted what we are, we will begin the Game. And I must say, it is something I look forward to." Serenity could only stare, still in shock of all that had happened. She withdrew her hand and carefully examined the small object. It was pure white, with a tiny prism sphere. In the sphere, she could barely make out a single symbol- a crescent moon. As if it had needed only that realization to activate, the broach began glowing, then split into two halves. The prism rose out of the front and increased in size, becoming as big as the Silver Imperial Crystal her family was guarding. The prism flashed a brilliant white and transported itself between the halves. They all came together, becoming whole with the crystal fitting perfectly inside. And as they merged, the entire broach flashed and shot an energy beam at Serenity, a particular beam that releases memories and increases one's knowledge. Damion watched in awe of the glowing beauty. He shook himself, realizing his time was up and he had to leave soon. But he would wait for her, to ensure her safety throughout the procedure. The broach transferred its glow to Serenity and she shot out a brilliant light before collapsing into unconsciousness from exhaustion. He caught her, quickly teleported to her room, and laid her on her bed. After admiring her a few peaceful moments more, he leaned down and kissed her forehead. "I will return," was the only whisper to be heard in the Four Verses as he transported back to his planet Noom in the Multiverse of Hell. And time began again. "I wonder what that was?" wondered Queen Melanie of Pluto asked. "What?" questioned Queen Serenity, who had been discussing the Peace with a star in a neighboring system. "I thought I felt a ripple in time, but there is no cause. I've never felt that before." In the gardens, Endymion fell on his face. "WHAT THE-" Nine guardians shot out of the bushes. Endymion stared at them. They all turned back to the palace, running as fast as they could. It would later be known that the princess had gotten dizzy and her guardians hadn't been told of her leave. But Serenity knew. She knew everything. Of how she was the Child of Light, the Chosen One of Good. She knew destiny's path for her. And she waited anxiously for the beginning, eager to take on the Game. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ O}----- The Crystal Millennium, 2009 AD, Universe 3 King Endymion stood over the fresh grave. He had no tears left to offer, and so just stood there, his heart pouring out loving whispers he had never told her. That he should have told her. That he could never tell her, now. For his Usako was dead. It had happened only three days ago, at the birth of their new son. It was with her last breath that she had named him. He, the Sailors, Reni, and the twins had all been present. She had died with a smile on her face, her little boy and last child in her arms. It wasn't fair! They had barely begun to live. They had met Luna, her guardian cat, only five years ago. In the span of five years, they had fallen in love, found all the Sailors, and beat all their foes in two years time. As soon as the fighting ended, they were married. They hadn't even celebrated their third anniversary, almost a month away. In three years, he had come alive, lived life to the fullest, and established a New World where he could reign peacefully with her. She had given him first Serenity XIV, then the twins, Ikuko and Kenji, and now this little one, in exchange for her life. He remembered her last words- "I know you will love and guard Samuel well, just as you loved and guarded me." Endymion finally turned away from the grave to see the children approach. A two-year-old Reni was dragging the carriage with the baby behind her, already assuming command and guardianship over him. They stopped at his side. He reached over and picked up the baby, remembering fondly the time he first held his other children. She had always teased him over his fear of holding the children. No longer would she be here, to tease, to laugh, to teach. How could he raise his children without her? And the Crystal Kingdom, how would he rule it, raise the children, command the Sailors, and live a life without her? He looked at his children. They stared solemnly at the grave. They would have to go on. He would have to go on. She had taught him that much. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ O}----- Tokyo,1998 AD, Universe 1 "Wait...." "Wha-" "Please..." Serena had opened her eyes to the darkest room she had ever seen. She could hardly make out an ebony night stand, dresser, table with two chairs, and bookshelf, all scattered around the 10x10 canopy bed in the spacious bedroom. The walls seemed to be made of mirrors, since she could dimly make out her reflection about 20 feet away. The bed she lay on was surprisingly soft, despite the harsh surroundings. The black silk and lace sheets she felt under her were warm from her body heat, as well as the mattress under her. The only source of light was the balcony to her left, which was almost a wall itself, extending out into space. Transparent black silk curtains fluttered inside, along with the almost inaudible, sweet, female voice. "Don't you remember?" Serena once again began her descent down the small ebony steps towards the balcony. Once on the ground, she found the black carpet enveloping her tiny feet. She paused as the voice spoke. "No..." she whispered frightfully. "This is so familiar..." she thought to herself. "Its like I should know this place, that voice, but everything is so wrong...so twisted..." "Please Ren...you must remember...you must return...please...I'm your-" And with that, Serena did remember. The flooding memories of the Silver Millennium, of her dearest friends, of lives and loves she thought made her being so magical came crashing back to her. Memories she wanted to forget, or cherish. And with that, she felt herself being pulled away from the balcony, towards a door on the opposite side, which she hadn't seen. And before she left had left that balcony, that room, that castle, that world, that universe, she let a single tear slide down. The tear that had held her Crystal, her power, and her memories. The tear that now stood for her love, her remorse, her heart's raging emotions. And before she could close her eyes as she fell into unconsciousness, before she would once again lose all she had gained, she whispered one word. One that she had said in compassion, then scorn and fear, and now in sadness. A name of someone she hoped with all her heart to have returned to her. "Beryl-" And then Serena awoke in her bedroom. Her real room. And as she looked out to the moon, and once again fell asleep, she silently pondered, "Why would I call out for her?" ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ o}--+----- The Mysterious Room (as yet unnamed!) Back in the same room Serena had just come from, the invisible wind blowing in the curtains stopped. A swirl of bronze, deep blue, and deep green light with a glitter of gold, rose from under the balcony. High, high up, and then swooping down and across the large platform, through the entrance and finally on the edge of the bed, where Serena had awaken only moments ago. In a flash of chocolate brown, bronze, and white the form of a woman took shape. Her left hand rested upon the place Serena's head had occupied, the other on her cheek. Her auburn hair spilled over her shoulders and down to the floor, along with her tan and beige silk strapless evening gown, with a bronze rose pattern decorating the bodice. Silently, she caressed the lace comforter that once contained the dearest person she had ever met and loved. The one person who had saved her life and millions of others, the one who was the key to five realms and their people's happiness and future. It all rested on this one small girl who didn't know anything about them. Not yet, at least. Softly, the woman began to cry. Her tears fell down her face, one for each wish, each memory, each hope, until there were so many, you couldn't tell how many there were. She wept on and on, until she finally broke into heartbreaking sobs. "Serenity..." "Shhhh." The broken woman turned to find another woman with short auburn hair and intense teal eyes wrapping her small arms around the woman's neck. The girl's golden, orange, and white glow from her teleport faded, and she clung to the woman, holding her, rocking her, soothing her until the last sob was uttered and the woman pulled away from the hug to speak. "Why are you here?" "Why do you ask? I know you too well." The girl smiled, straightening her soft golden silk evening gown, with silk spaghetti straps. "You are my sister, after all. We are linked, we share all." "You are lucky," the woman turned away, her auburn hair glistening with golden brown highlight, "You get to see her everyday. She at least knows you in a form. The only form she saw me in, she had to kill. She hated me! She and I were always to be together, but I screwed it up! And look where I am." The last part came out in a whisper as her bright oceanic blue eyes clouded up again. "No! Don't think like that! It won't always be like this. One day, she will remember, and she'll come back, and we will right everything!" the girl bit her lip in frustration and turned the older woman towards her. "We will get through this. Now that the others have been defeated and healed, it will only be a matter of time before we are all back together." The woman cracked a small smile, "Yes, soon we will be together again." The smile suddenly became a frown. "If only she remembered her life her life from over the last couple millennia!" "Really Ryl!" the girl giggled, "She has been with our brother for too long!" "And how has he been? Are you keeping up with him?" "Well it's not that hard when he is always with The Chosen One!" The two figures were now giggling a little harder. "Besides, since when did he remember anything?" Now the girls were crying again, only this time from happy memories and laughter. When they calmed down a few minutes later, the woman suddenly became serious. "How are they?" The girl sobered up at that question. "Something's wrong, I feel it with both of them. I think he's been having dreams, nightmares that are hitting him pretty hard. And a couple days ago, she didn't show up. It was the night you were suppose to start the memory restoration process, so I assumed you had gotten to her. But ever since then, she has been completely out of it. I can get her to tell me what is wrong, but the scouts have gotten very protective of her." The girl sighed. "I hope nothing goes wrong! We've made it too far to be turned away! We have to see her! We need her!" the woman shouted out, angry at the sudden situation. She quickly stood and faced the girl. "Come on Ra, let's go get the others. We are going to have to act fast." Princess Mahira grimly got up and in a flash, was transformed into a ball of soft gold, flaming red, and amethyst purple. "Let's go," Mahira's voice rang out, with a slight echo, filling the room with what Earthens would call a Brooklyn accent. The ball seemed to collapse in on itself at once and vanished, leaving a sighing Princess Beryllian alone in the dark room. Before turning into a glowing orb, she looked out the window and whispered. "Together again Ren. I promise." SOOOO? How do I rate? I promise, things will clear up as I go along, but I have this thing for detail and cliffhangers... By the way, my name is Guardian Angel One. And if you like outlandish things and lonnnnnngggg stories, please read my story. I promise, things will clear up in the next chapter. This is just a prologue. And please understand why things are going this like this- I am attempting to explain a lot of things not mentioned during the story (like why Molly never connected her best friend to the soldier, who Beryl really was, and all that junk.) Anyway, there is a lot more talent out there, who can write a thousand times better than I could in a thousand years. I suggest you check them out. Here are a few to start the list: Lianne, Razzz, Jen Wand, Ninx, Katherine, Crystal Heart, Lady M Harris, Sailor Mac, and Mark Berger. I will recommend more later, but that's all I have time to list right now. Ja ne!
