Yes, yes, yes, part five FINALLY came out! I'm sorry that it took so long. But you know the reason: School. But, let's just enjoy it part five, shall we? Email me as soon as you finished reading this part. . . DISCLAIMER: You know the usual stuff-Sailor Moon does not belong to me. By the way. . .I already decided who's going to win Usagi. . . . .^^ Part five #~~~~~~~# Usagi's heart pounded. *Mamo-chan, what's on your face right now? Anger? Confusion? . . . . . .Hatred? Mamo-chan. . .I'm so sorry.* For a room that was usually cheerful, it was awfully quiet. Usagi breathed in, breathed out. *Okay, Mamo-chan, I'll lift my head up now, please, please, don't let me see pure hate.* Usagi took a deep breath, with her heart racing faster by the minute, she slowly lifted her head. Mamoru's face was blank, and he was staring at the floor. Usagi, who usually could tell what Mamoru was feeling just by looking at his face, couldn't now. His face was a total blank. Usagi knew what was happening. *He's hiding himself from me. He's building a huge wall between us. Oh, god, Mamo-chan, I'm so sorry.* Silence. Dead silence. And it scared Usagi. Suddenly, a single tear rolled down Mamoru's face. Because his face was toward the floor, Usagi didn't see it. She sighed, and decided to try and start a conversation. "Mamo-chan? If you are mad, please just yell at me, or hit me, you can do anything, but please don't block yourself from me. Mamo-chan, I really hate the silence in the-" "Leave." said Mamoru softly. Usagi stared at him for a whole minute. Then, nodding her head, walked toward the door. Before she opened the door, she took another look at Mamoru. Usagi sighed with sorrow, and walked out. After he heard the door close, Mamoru lifted his head. He walked to the window, and caught Usagi walking to the direction of the park. He stared at her, eyes following her until he couldn't follow anymore. Mamoru went in the kitchen, turned on the faucet, and splashed water to his hurt face. He knew that ever since he saw Seiya in Rei's temple holding Usagi, he had a big problem in his hands. He could tell from the way that Seiya look at Usagi, he loved her. Her, as in, HIS princess. HIS light. HIS love. "SHE'S MINE! MINE ONLY!!!" Mamoru yelled to the ceiling, tears rolling down his face. "He kissed her. THAT BASTARD!" Mamoru pounded his fist on the table, gritting his teeth. Then, the anger on his face was gone. Replaced by hurt. "And Usako let him. She didn't move away." Mamoru said softly, so soft that he couldn't even hear himself. "Oh, God, Usako, you don't know how much you hurt me. . ." Mamoru put his face down the kitchen table. . . . . . #~~~~~~~# Usagi walked slowly to the park. *What's Mamo-chan doing right now? Is he all right?* She walked up the hill. . . . .and saw Seiya. Usagi gulped, walked toward him, and sat down beside him by the lake. Seiya turned and smiled. "Hi, Odango-hey, what's wrong?" Usagi stared at her foot and said quietly, "I told Mamo-chan that you kissed me." Seiya didn't say anything. "'Leave' was what he said to me after I told him. Oh, I don't know if he's okay right now." "Odango. . .do you want me to go over to his apartment and tell him that it was all my fault?" Seiya asked softly. "Seiya. . .it was not all your fault. Besides, you will be in danger." Usagi joked. "So?" Usagi smiled slightly. "If you were hurt, I would either be yelled to death by your brothers, or be killed by all those fans of yours." "Hmm. . ." "Oh, well. . .hmm, it's late, I better go home now." Usagi stood up. Seiya grabbed her wrist. "Don't you have anything to say to me?" Usagi stared at him confusingly. "Like what?" "Like. . .to stay away from you forever, or that you hate me for doing this to Mamoru." "Seiya. . . . . .it's not all your fault. Besides, even if can you stay away from me forever. . . . . . I can't stay away from YOU forever." Without waiting for a reply from Seiya, Usagi walked away. *What did I mean by that?* *What did Odango mean by that?* #~~~~~~~# Mamoru turned on the TV. His eyes were staring at the screen, but his mind was on Usagi. And Seiya. "Usako. . . . . . where are you right now? Oh. . .Usako, princess, I wish you were right here with me. But, you didn't want to. . .you left. . .you left me, all alone. . ." Mamoru said quietly, his voice cracking, "If it were before, you would have stayed. . .no matter what I told you to do. But, you, you didn't. Usako. . . . . . "You stupid, stupid, stupid bastard! I hate you, Seiya!!! Why did you kiss her? Why are you trying to take away the wonderful, innocent Usako from me? WHY??? I HATE YOU!!! I hate you for doing that to Usako, and I hate you for doing this to me. . ." #~~~~~~~# "Usagi! You are home! Well, hurry up and do your homework! Wait. . .I'm just being plain stupid, am I? You are not even going to DO any of your homework, so why am I telling you to do your homework? Oh, well, you-" "Be quiet, Luna, please. I'm-I'm really not in the mood for this right now." Usagi said, falling down on her bed. The black cat stared at Usagi. She asked softly, "Usagi, what's wrong?" "Guess, Luna." "Hmm. . .you told Mamoru about Seiya kissing you?" "Whoo-hoo, you got it." said Usagi flatly. "Oh, Usagi. . .what did Mamoru say to you?" "Mamo-chan told me to leave, that's all. You know, Luna, if I was Usagi, the one that you first met, I would be thankful right now, since Mamo-chan didn't yell at me. But I'm not that Usagi anymore, now, I-I worry about this thing. I think it would have made me feel better if Mamo-chan just yelled at me, or slapped me, his silence is what scares me the most. He's just blocking himself away from me." Usagi whispered. Luna lowered her head, feeling sorry for her owner. "Luna? And after I left Mamo-chan's apartment, I went to the park. I saw Seiya by the lake, he said that I should say 'I hate him', or 'stay away from me forever' to him, and I said that, that, even if Seiya can stay away from me, I can't stay away from him. Luna, that scared me. What do you think that meant???" "Well, Usagi, aren't you suppose to know?" Usagi sighed. "Oh, I don't even know myself why I said that. Since you know me for all these times, maybe you can tell me why I said that." Luna scratched the back of her head. She looked at Usagi, and said firmly, "Usagi. . . I-I think that you. . .you really like him." "Who?" "Who else? Seiya, stupid!!!" "Why?" "Because of what you said. You can't stay away from Seiya. Usually when you couldn't stay away from someone, is because, 1, you love the person, 2, you are enemy to the person, you have to destroy the person. I don't think you actually are an enemy to Seiya, so. . .you love him." Usagi's jaw dropped. "No, I don't!" "Hey, you asked me what do I think, and I just told you." "Luna, this is crazy. I mean, how, how, can I LOVE Seiya??? I-I-" Usagi walked to the window. Luna yawned. "Usagi, this is really not important. Right now the most important thing is to make sure that Mamoru is all right." Usagi turned around. She nodded her head. "Yeah, you are right. But, I don't think Mamo-chan wants to talk to me right now." She stared at Luna, hoping for a suggestion. Luna only stared back. #~~~~~~~# Mamoru gripped his cup. *He kissed her. He kissed her. He kissed her. He kissed her. HE KISSED HER!* "SEIYA KISSED MY USAKO!!!" Mamoru yelled once again. "Why? Why? Why didn't Usako move away? Why didn't she slap him after he did that? Why did Seiya kiss Usako in the first place? Yeah, because he loves her." Mamoru said to himself. Mamoru walked out to his balcony. He stared at the people walking along the street. "Oh, Usako. . .I need an explanation." #~~~~~~~# "Hello?" "Hey, Rei-chan? It's Usagi." "Don't you think I know your voice already?" "Yeah, yeah. Listen, can you come over?" "Right now?" "Yes, right now. Rei-chan, I-I really need your help." Rei frowned at the other end. She didn't like the tone of voice Usagi was speaking in. "Okay, Usagi-chan, I'm leaving right now." Immediately, Rei hang up the phone, grabbed her coat, and was on her way to Usagi's house. Usagi paced around her room. "Luna. . .um, can you please go out or something? Because, I really need totalk to Rei-chan, WITHOUT your interruptions." Luna stuck out her tongue at Usagi, and walked out with her head held high. Usagi smiled slightly. "Usagi-chan?" Rei asked, while running into Usagi's room and sitting down on her bed. "Rei!" Usagi whimpered, and hugged the friend. "Hey, hey, hey! What's wrong?" Rei asked, concerned. Then, trying to light up the mood, said, "I'm not the hugging-type. Don't try to do that." Usagi let go. She started from the beginning. "You know that Seiya-chan kissed me, right? And today, after school, I went to Mamo-chan's apartment and told him that. At first, it was silence, dead silence. Then, when I tried to start a conversation, Mamo-chan told me to leave. I left, and now. . .I don't know if Mamo-chan is all right. But, I'm sure that even if I go to his apartment now, he'll just give me his blank face. . .he's going to build a wall between us. Like before." Rei's face showed sympathy. "Oh, Usagi-chan. . .I don't know what you should do now. But, really, let me ask you, what is the REAL reason that you let Seiya kissed you?" Usagi paused. She looked at the floor, and said softly, "I don't know the exact reason why I let Seiya-chan kissed me. It was, I guess, I don't know, I just, I-I don't know why. . . ugh." Rei smiled. "You know, Usagi-chan, that was what I expected you to say. Ugh, ugh, and I don't knows." Usagi looked at Rei, and suddenly hugged her. "Oh, Rei. . .what is happening?" "Well, Usagi, you are trapped in a love triangle. And, you are stuck, just right in the middle." Rei said. Usagi sighed. "Tell me something I don't know." "Hey, you are getting smarter now." "Oh, Rei." #~~~~~~~# *Okay, Usako. I'm coming over. You need to give me an explanation. And then we'll hug and kiss, and then everything will be fine.* Mamoru sighed. *I know better than that.* He grabbed his coat and keys, then went out the door. #~~~~~~~# "Rei? How come I keep getting the feeling that something isn't right?" Usagi asked. "What kind of feeling?" asked Rei. "I don't know. . .it's like something bad is going to happen or something. . ." Rei smiled. "Usagi-chan. . .you worry too much. I think I like it better when you are cheerful all the time." "I wish I am cheerful right now. . .but I'm not. I'm worrying about Mamo-chan." "Look. . .Mamoru is not going to be mad. . . . .at least, not mad at you. He loves you too much to be angry at you, Usagi. . .but, he probably is cursing Seiya right now." "Oh, great! Cursing Seiya-chan! Just what I need right now." "Usagi-chan. . .I hate to break it to you, but you DO sound like you love Seiya." Rei told her. "What???? NO!!!!! Rei, you are just like Luna! Thinking of the impossible! I mean. . . sure, I like Seiya-chan, but. . .I do not love him! I love Mamo-chan!" "Usagi. . .please, just, for once, try not to think about Mamoru for just one minute. . .and think, truly, truly, purely about your feelings about Seiya!!!" Usagi sighed. "You are right. . .I DO need to think about my feelings for Seiya-chan purely, and truly." "Yep, you sure do. So. . .begin." "Begin what?" "UGH! Begin thinking, of course!" "Rei! I'm not going to start right at this moment!" "And why not?" "Because. . .of that feeling. You know, that something bad is going to happen pretty soon." Usagi said quietly. "Usagi, nothing is going to happen except the changing of your feelings for Seiya!" "Maybe that's it." "And what's so bad about it?" Rei asked sharply. "Nothing. . .I guess. But-" "No-no! No ifs, ands, or buts about it." Usagi smiled. "You are stubborn, Rei-chan." "Thank you." Rei said, with a grin on her face. Shingo knocked. "Hey, Usagi! Your boyfriend Mamoru is at the door." Usagi's eyes popped out. She turned to Rei. "What am I going to do?" Rei stared back. "Usagi-chan, how am I suppose to know?" Usagi turned to Shingo. "Tell him I'm not here." "Can't." "Why?" "Because I already told him that you are upstairs." "OOOH! Man, I guess I have to go and face him." Rei hugged Usagi. "Go. Ask him if he's okay." "I know that." Usagi walked downstairs. "Thanks, Shingo. You can go now." Shingo nodded and went to his bedroom. Mamoru was waiting while sitting on a sofa. When he saw Usagi, he immediately stood up. "Hi, Usako." "Hi, Mamo-chan." Usagi said awkwardly. *He's still calling me Usako. . .so I guess he can't be that mad.* Mamoru stared at her firmly. Usagi had nothing to do except to stare back. The silence went on for several minutes. "Um," Usagi asked, "You want to go outside and talk or something?" "That would be a terrific idea. Let's go to the park." "NO!!!" Usagi yelled, startling Mamoru. *Seiya-chan's probably going to be there. . .* "I mean, let's go somewhere else, okay, Mamo-chan?" "Um, sure. Let's just take a walk around the block, then." "Great." Usagi grabbed her jacket and went out the door while yelling, "Mom, be back in half an hour!" Once Usagi closed the door behind her, Mamoru sighed. They walked down the street, Ý feet between them. "Usako. . .what happened?" Mamoru asked, finally. "What what happened?" "You know. . .how did the kiss happened." Mamoru said. "Oh." Usagi lowered her head. "Well. . .I-I. . .okay, that afternoon I was at Seiya's house. . .and his two brothers weren't home. And, Seiya and I started to play this game, where he would listen to every single word I say for a whole five minutes. . .I just got this really wicked idea of him putting up two odangos like me, and because he had to listen to me, he did. It was soooo funny! I mean, he looked really silly." Usagi wanted to laugh again just picturing the Odango-Seiya in her head, but controlled herself. "Anyway. . .Seiya then used a cushion and began to hit me playfully. I, of course, hit him back. The cushion-attacks went on for about like, I don't know, five minutes or something, and then we heard footsteps, and Taiki and Yaten were home. They laughed at the two odangos on Seiya-chan's head. And then Seiya-chan and I got out of his house, and then he kissed me." Usagi sighed, "And that's basically the whole story." Mamoru didn't say anything. Usagi frowned. "Um, Mamo-chan? You there?" "You went to his house. . .you guys joked with each other. . .you two played cushion attacks with each other. . .and then he kissed you." Mamoru said softly. Usagi gulped. "Yes." "Anything else happened after the kiss?" "Um. . .well, I-I, I just laid my head on his chest, that's all." Usagi said uncomfortably. "You laid your head on his chest?" Usagi just nodded. Mamoru closed his eyes. He pictured the scene. . .first kissing, then holding each other. *Oh, God. . .* "Usako. . .how could you do this to me? Why did you let him kiss you?" Usagi didn't know what to answer. "It's because you love him, isn't it?" Mamoru asked sharply. "Mamo-chan. . . . . ." "IS IT?" Mamoru shouted. "I don't know. . ." Usagi replied in a tiny voice. Mamoru turned and look at Usagi. *She's scared. . .she's afraid of me. Oh, Usako. . . I'm sorry.* Mamoru tried to get closer to Usagi, but she stepped away. "Usako. . .I'm sorry that I yelled at you." "It's okay. . ." replied Usagi. "Come on. . .let's just go to the park, okay? I like to sit by the lake. . .and if I remember correctly, you like to sit by the lake, too." Mamoru smiled at Usagi. Usagi nodded, and tried to smile back. . .but couldn't. *Why does everything feel so tense and uncomfortable between us right now? What happened to the warm feeling I get whenever I'm around Mamo-chan?* They walked to the park in silence. When they were just a couple of feet away from the lake, Usagi saw a figure standing up behind a tree and walking toward them. "Seiya. . ." she whispered. "What?" Mamoru asked, then saw. *Seiya.* Seiya saw Mamoru and Usagi walking to the lake together, side by side. *I guess they made-up.* he thought with a painful glance at them. "Hi, Seiya-chan." Usagi greeted. "Hey, Usa." "Hello, Seiya." Mamoru said with a freezing voice. Seiya winced. "Hi, Mamoru-kun." "Usako told me everything. . . . ." Seiya looked at Usagi. "She did?" "Yeah. You guys had fun?" Seiya gulped. "I'm sure you did. But, guess what, Seiya? Usako's mine. Mine ONLY. You understand that?" Seiya nodded. "Yes," his voice cracking, "I understand." "Good. I'm glad you do." Usagi saw the hurt on Seiya's face. *Mamo-chan sounds as if he owns me.* "You better not do anything to her again, or else." Mamoru said. Usagi turned to look at Mamoru. "Mamo-chan! I don't like this green-eyed monster side of you! I can choose who I love and who I want to be with!" Mamoru felt like his heart was cracking. "You mean. . .you don't want to be with me?" "NO! I mean, I want to be with you, Mamo-chan. . .it's just that. . ." "You know what, I'm going to go. . ." Seiya said. "No, Seiya-chan, wait." Usagi said. She turned to Mamoru. Usagi sighed. "Mamo-chan. . . please. It wasn't Seiya-chan's fault. I mean. . .I let Seiya-chan kiss me. It's my fault, too." "No. . . . . .it was all my fault." Seiya said, not wanting Usagi to take any blame. "It was my fault." Usagi stared at Seiya. Mamoru shook his head. *What am I doing? Why am I so cruel?* Usagi walked to Seiya. And hugged him. "Seiya-chan. . .please, don't try to say anything about it's all your fault, okay?" Seiya smiled, and held Usagi. "Usa. . ." As Mamoru watched, his anger came up again. (AN: you know how Mamoru can get really jealous sometimes, right?) "Get your hands off of her." Seiya looked at Mamoru, and was about to let go, when Usagi shook her head, "Mamo-chan. . .a friendly hug doesn't mean anything." "Get your hands off of Usako, Seiya." Mamoru said, ignoring Usagi. "Aren't you listening to me, Mamo-chan?" "Usako. . ." Mamoru said softly. "I really don't like this green-eyed monster side of you, Mamo-chan! There's no reason for you to be jealous! Can't I have a normal friend, a GUY friend, without having you being jealous by little things?" "Little things? Is a kiss a little thing? Is a kiss a little thing? A KISS IS A LITTLE THING?" Mamoru yelled. Tears came up to Usagi's eyes. "This is the second time you yelled at me, Mamo-chan. . ." Mamoru quickly realized his mistake. He went to Usagi. . ."Usako, I'm sorry." Usagi nodded, but tears came down still. Seiya shook his head. *That Mamoru. . .thinks he owns Odango. . .* He turned toward Mamoru. "Hey. . .leave her alone, okay? It's all my fault. . .so don't blame it on her." Hearing Seiya's voice, Mamoru's anger rose up again. "Don't you tell me what to do, Seiya. Don't you think it's already enough that you kissed her?" Seiya sighed. "Mamoru. . .how many times do I need to say I'm sorry? If you are still not pleased, I'M SORRY!" Usagi touched Seiya's arm. "Hey. . .Seiya-chan. . .don't say sorry anymore. I already told you, it's my fault, too." Usagi smiled at Seiya through her tears. Seiya gently smiled back. Mamoru shook his head. "Come on, Usako. Let's go somewhere else." "Hey, don't boss her around, okay?" said Seiya. Mamoru said, a little of annoyance in his voice, "I don't need you to tell me anything." "Usa is a person, too. You don't own her." "What do you think I am? A beast? Of course I know I don't own her. I love her. Can't you understand that?" Seiya saddened. "Yeah, " he whispered, "I can." Usagi understood. "Seiya. . ." Mamoru gently grabbed Usagi's arm. He smiled at her. "Come on, Usako. . .let's go." Usagi looked at Seiya, and then looked back at Mamoru. She shook her head, and said a solid "NO." _____________________________________________________________________ Okay. . .so I made Mamoru a little cruel in this part. Hey, he CAN get REALLY jealous!
