When you read the story of Princess Celestia, whenever I write it that is, I'm sure you shall understand. This one isn't really PG, but I know how sensitive our kids of today can be, even though I probably have a 09 year old reading this now. I know I belong writing essays, reports, and things, but I have good ideas (sort of). Why not write a lovely Sailor Moon Fic? And so I did. Read On, flame me, praise me, give me ideas, don't say anything at all, whatever tickles your fancy. Just read. ******************** "Good night mom," Usagi said warmly, trying hard to mask her anguish. "Goodnight sweetheart," Ikuko said, then opened her mouth again. "Oh Usagi! Someone called you a little earlier today, but you were sleeping. They said they would call back tomorrow." Usagi poked her head through the white paneled doorway of her room, and glanced a short ways down the hall at her mother. Ikuko was now dressed in a long dark blue nightgown, which matched her thick, curly, blue hair. Ikuko looked at her daughter's dim blue eyes, worried because their normal luster was missing. They were full of problems she could not understand. "Who was it, mom?" "You'll have to ask your father in the morning. He was the one who answered the phone. But he's already asleep." "Ok," Usagi said disappointedly. "I think I'll take a bath before I go to bed." "Alright dear. Be sure to get lots of sleep, Usagi" "I'll get more than enough," Usagi said matter-of-factly. Ikuko stepped into her bedroom ignoring her daughter's comment. Mamoru pulled open the sliding doors to his balcony, and stepped out into the moon's glow. It cast a smooth, silver light on the balcony's edge, and over his skin. He looked down at his arms poking out of his black shirt, the sleeves now rolled up to his elbows. With those same arms he had pushed her away. Had made her cry. Had made her stop loving him. His poor Usako was devastated. But she just didn't understand. He wanted nothing more than to be with her. Ever since she'd come into his life he'd felt warm, and safe. And loved. And now someone was sending him these horrible nightmares. Nightmares of his Usako in danger. As much as he loved her and wanted to be with her, he didn't want to risk her life. So he told her it was over. And though it drove daggers through his heart to see tears fill her angelic eyes, he knew it had to be done. Gazing longingly at the moon he could almost see her warm smile, the one that always made him feel like the world was full of hope and like nothing could go wrong when she was there. "God damn these voices in my head," he whispered to himself, running his fingers through his thick, ebony hair. He suddenly missed the times she'd run her soft hands through his hair playfully, saying how much she loved it. Mamoru turned away from the moon and stared back into his apartment. It seemed more dark and desolate than usual. The only thing keeping him from feeling completely alone was Chibi-Usa. He didn't know why he felt so close to her, but she had stolen the fatherly side of his heart in a short time. He walked back inside and stared at the picture of his Usako he kept on the cherry-wood nightstand next to his bed. He looked over at the sleeping Chibi-Usa who had stetched out over his bed comfortably. He picked up the picture frame and sat next to her, being careful not to disturb her. He didn't notice he was crying until he saw a tear hit the glass of the picture. As a reflex he quickly wiped them away with the back of his hand. He pulled the picture to his chest and hugged it tightly. "Oh Usako, if only you knew... if only." Rei couldn't concentrate. She unfolded her hands and wiped the glistening sweat onher forehead. Usually the fire helped her to focus, but her thoughts kept drifting elsewhere. After Usagi told her about what Mamoru had done, she'd made fun of her friend, a reflex she couldn't help. As much as she loved Usagi, it only seemed fair that she not have a boyfriend when the rest of them didn't either. The others didn't help much either, since they seemed to feel the same. Well all except Minako. But later, when she thought about it, Rei regretted it badly, knowing it was just a fit of jealousy. She'd tried calling Usagi to apologize, but she was either not there, or sleeping. Again she tried concentrating on the fire, but it was useless. Rei sighed and decided to call it a night. Usagi ran the warm bath water and peeled off her blue dress and white blouse. She stuffed her hair into the pink shower cap, and then quickly pulled it out. "I'll just wash it in the morning," she thought as she took it down. It flowed down her back to the middle of her thigh. She draped it around herself playfully. "Mamo-chan said he loved my hair..." She stopped in the middle of her thoughts. Mamoru. He'd dumped her the day before. For no reason. It had left her bitter. Usagi didn't understand what she'd done to deserve it. But she didn't care anymore. Soon it wouldn't matter. She climbed into the warm water and let it swallow her small frame. She opened the drain a bit to let a little water flow out. After a few minutes she set out the star locket Tuxedo Kamen had dropped and given to her. She let the tune lull her into a dreamy state. Grabbing a razor off the side of the tub she stared at the sharp edge. She lifted her wrist, unafraid of the consequences. "This is for my broken heart," she said, barely getting the words out.She put the razor to her wrist and pressed until she saw blood. She slid it across until there was a thin line of red. Ignoring the stinging feeling she pulled it across her other wrist and sat the razor on the edge of the tub. Lowering her arms into the water, Usagi sighed and slouched her entire body into its warmth. She stared at the wall until it started to fade into darkness. The last thing she saw was Mamoru's stormy, blue eyes staring at her, full of shameful tears and never-ending love. "Mamoru.." she whispered with her last bit of strength before the darkness enveloped her completely. Mamoru bolted up from his deep sleep, and grabbed his chest in pain. "No.." he screamed, scrambling around for his motorcycle keys. He ran down the apartment stairs, and hopped onto his bike. He grabbed his chest again, and revved the gas. "No, Usako, no!" he screamed as he took off towards her house. What he didn't see was a startled and confused Chibi-Usa looking out the window after him. Ami was about to fall asleep. She had been up all night studying for a huge exam the next day. She might have gotten the studying in earlier, but since she had to fight against the forces of evil, studying had to wait. Finally closing her book, Ami stretched and yawned. With one last bit of worry she thought, "I hope I pass." That thought was quickly erased by the searing pain that took over her chest. It became harder to breathe by the second. As she struggled to climb out of bed, Ami gasped. "Usagi.." Makoto pulled the hot tray of fresh cookies out of the oven. She'd gone on a cooking spree to make herself feel better. Hurting poor Usgai's feeling like that really bothered her later on. As she sat them on the counter a fire burned deep inside her chest. Pressing her hand against her chest she collapsed against the floor. "What on earth is going on..." Her eyes widened in realization. "Usagi.." Minako swung Artemis around until he yelled bloody murder. "Mina-chan, let me down this instant or WAOOOOAAAA!!" Artemis screamed as he went flying across the room. He thanked the gods for having cats land on their feet. "Nice one Minako. Minako?" Looking at her as she grabbed her chest, and winced in pain, Artemis ran to Minako's side. "Mina-chan, what's wrong?" "My chest...something's burning inside," she hissed out. With another breath she forced out. "Usagi.." Rei tossed and turned in her bed. Usually she'd be out like a light, but tonight was different. Thoughts of Usagi were bugging her. Not just about being sorry, but just a feeling that something was terribly wrong. That when it hit her. The sharp pain that clouded her mind and made her chest burn from the inside out. She was about to go find her Grandfather when a shocking thought crossed her mind. "Usagi.." When he got there he turned off the motorcycle quickly, and banged loudly on the front door. "USAGI!!" he screamed at the door, until the pain in his chest was too great for him to bang any harder. He saw the light come on in the living room through the side curtain, and tried his best to beat on the door. Ikuko opened the door, and looked at him sleepily. "Mamoru-san, what is it? It's late and Usagi is in bed." "No...She's not." He rushed past her and upstairs to Usagi's room. "Where is she?" he said worriedly. "She must have fallen asleep the bathtub. Let me get her." Ikuko walked into the bathroom, not wanting Mamoru to see her poor daughter naked just yet. She knew he loved her, and she also knew he respected her enough not to barge in on her naked. "Usagi?" she said, closing the door gently. As she turned around, a drop of red on white rug caught her eye. She looked and saw it dripping from a small razor on the edge of the tub. Usagi laid limply in the bathtub, the water running slowly, her head tilted to the side. The color had drained from her face and her eyes were still open. "Usa..." Ikuko let out before she fainted. Mamoru heard the loud noise and opened the door. "Mrs. Tsu....Usagi!!" He grabbed her into his arms, and shook her gently. "No Usagi, you can't die! Why? Why?!" Fresh tears stung his cheeks as he held her cold, wet body to himself. Mr. Tsukino came into the bathroom and studied the scene before him. "My gods.." he said. He ran off and phoned for an ambulance, leaving his unconscious wife, and a broken Mamoru to cradle his dead beloved in his arms. ******************** Nice ending eh? I suppose I could leave it that way to show my deep hatred for Usagi. But I don't hate Usagi, I love her, she's my third favorite Senshi. Well fourth if you count Galaxia. So why did I kill her? You'll have to wait until next week when the next chapter comes out! *cackles like Queen Beryl* Comments? Questions? Thrashings of a lifetime? Send to:eve_kp@sailormoon.com
