Naseino awoke that afternoon, feeling a little more hopeful. She didn’t see any drawings of little redheaded girls; she didn’t hear them calling to her anymore. She didn’t need to question her sanity anymore. And so, she decided how she was going to please Amateretsu. Naseino was going to get a job. A normal job, even if it meant flipping burgers at the local McDonalds. She was walking out the door, when she remembered the package on the table. Approaching the bundle like it was a bomb, ready to go off, she sighed irritated, her glasses sliding down the end of her nose. "I’ve really got to get contacts one of these days..." she said to herself, adjusting her spectacles, and looked at the address. ‘To The Resident Princess’ the label read. Naseino gulped. "Please let this be a prank.. let this be a prank," she whispered, opening the package. Inside laid a tiny wand, big enough for a child to grasp. It was a bright indigo, and to crown it off was a navy blue crescent moon. The scepter was encrusted in small diamonds that sparkled like stars, giving it the look that everything was glowing. The red head stared, "Nooooo...." Attached to it was a sloppy note. ‘You forgot this, and I know you’ll be needing it, Idun-chan. Signed, U.T.’ "U.T.?" Naseino asked, "Who is...." Usagi Tsukino. Usagi, Princess Serenity of the moon, had sent her this wand. She had...forgot it? "So much for a normal afternoon," said Naseino, who sat down in the floor, part in confusion, part in dismay. Intuition told her that it would be wise if she stayed at home. She spent the next few hours reading manga, until, she got a phone call. "Hello...?" Naseino yawned. The day, although very strange, had went by quickly. "Ms. Naseino Guritsuzo? This is the editor from Eneles Corporation. We loved your story!" Actually, she didn’t remember sending anything to an ‘Eneles Coperation....’ "Really..?" Naseino gasped, pulling the reciever closer, as if it were the ticket to heaven, "The originals?... Oh, of course! I’ll bring them tommorrow!" After hanging up, she dashed to her desk, and dug through them until she found the original picture she was looking for. She was going to have to get up early, so she laid her head on her desk, protectively guarding that picture, and went to sleep. "Are you sure this is the right one, Nase-chan? I mean, she sure ain’t no believer, is she?" A tenor voice asked. It spoke in the same manner a stereotypical ‘homie’ would. "I’m sure she is.. I mean, she has the same name..." a small, polite voice answered. "But if we screw this one up, Serenity is gunna be MAD!" the deeper voice complained, "Now yo’ know I dun like my fur rubbed da wrong way!" "Fluffy, for a feline, you worry way too much." The two figures in which the voices belonged to entered the dark room. One was an adverage looking blue cat, except for a blue crescent moon on its forehead, and a tinier one on each pad of its feet. The other looked transperant, and... she looked like a smaller verison of Naseino. The ghost, or childhood spirit, of Naseino Guritsuzo stood over the sleeping artist. "She’s so..." the child began. "Gorgeous. Yo, I told yo’, yo’ were gunna be a pretty muma when you grew up!" Fluffy answered. "I was looking for a word more like serious, but, thanks for the compliment," Nase-chan said. "Yeah, yeah. Get it over with, chile!" Fluffy ordered, jumping onto the bed. "Okay, okay!" she huffed, placing a hand on Naseino’s forehead. Her hand sunk in to Naseino’s body. Slowly, she pushed her arm in, then her other, and then the rest of her, until the older lady’s body glowed a bright ember. And then, the artist shrunk. Smaller and smaller, her hair getting shorter, her clothes getting bigger on her. At last, Naseino was nothing but a small child. With a flash of light, the body was gone. Everything was gone.
